  1. There is no way that PIF wildly_fanciful_statement belongs in the Probation Thread. If the PIF donkeys can't keep their junk trading escapades straight, they should start their own PIF Probation. That was kinda 'backlashy', i'm sure there are also other ways to describe it. I stand by it completely. Junk swapping misfortunes can stay in the PIF playpen. , junk swapping. Just off the top of my head, people have given away an entire 10 volume set of Sandman, a Wolverine Omnibus, Multiple 9.8 graded books, among other really quality items. I don't know why you even need to have an opinion, and a ton of hostility, towards something that you don't participate in and as such have absolutely nothing to do with you. It's though as if you are being confrontational for the sake of confrontation.

  3. Since June 2012 there has been 2 issues. 1 of them worked out more a less, less in my case, being one of the people who got stiffed but that's a seperate issue. I don't think we are going to be seeing any 'Perfect ButtHurtStorms', probably not even a 'ButtHurtLightDrizzle'. Just genuine cases of people that are taking advantage of other forum members. 2 PUBLIC issues. That doesn't include the people that may drop out of the thread due to issues that arise, or people that swallow the someone sends them because they don't want to rock the boat. That doesn't mean these people don't tell others what's going on, and that the experience was soured. It's a lot more than two in the last year just from the PMs I've received from various folks in the last year that fit the description I gave. I'm not sure what other issues you are talking about. If someone received something they didn't like, I'm not sure what to say about that. They claimed the offer, they knew what they were getting. They probably shouldn't have claimed it in the first place. If it wasn't what they were told they were going to get they should have voiced that concern. It should have been dealt with and they were foolish to not say something about it. But right now we are currently talking about a very specific issue here however. What is the appropriate way to handle a member who is supposed to send out an item and they never do.

  5. I think the people saying it should be in a separate list perceive the PIF transactions as low value, or no value transactions and as such they would still roll the dice in conducting business with someone that didn't fulfill their obligations in the PIF forum. I honestly can't understand this logic but whatever, we can agree to disagree I guess. If someone is not trustworthy enough to send out free books, they sure as hell aren't trustworthy enough to send out books I paid money for. Why in the heck do I want to look in multiple places to decided if I can trust someone before I conduct business with them?
  6. There is no way that PIF wildly_fanciful_statement belongs in the Probation Thread. If the PIF donkeys can't keep their junk trading escapades straight, they should start their own PIF Probation. So let me get this straight. If someone comes in the PIF thread and steals from another member, you don't want the thief put on the probation thread? You'd rather risk that same thief coming and stealing later in real money transactions? Yep that's a good idea. You can characterize it as theft all you want, that doesn't make it so. call it whatever you want. would you want to send a person who didn't fulfill their PIF obligation a bunch of money in the hopes that they send you the books they agreed to send you? that's what this boils down to. i wouldn't. I don't know, maybe. I understand the process better now, and feel like Manicnerd got piped, because he put his offer out there solely based upon his claim of the Spideys. I don't understand your point, which leads me to believe that you don't understand how the PIF thread works. But that doesn't really matter. What matters is a forum member had an obligation to send another member some books and they didn't fulfill that obligation. I don't see what anything else has to do with it. That person is of poor character and I wouldn't want to deal with them in the future, so I see no reason not to put them on the PL. I mean, if you go to get a bank loan for a mortgage, but you don't pay your car payment, the bank doesn't say to themselves, "Ya he didn't pay that car payment but we don't know how he'll do on a mortgage payment, lets go ahead and give him the benefit of the doubt and give him the loan".

  9. Purchased the ASM vol 1 Omnibus and it was shipped quick and packaged great. Excellent transaction, Thanks!
  10. Recently purchased a large run of Hulks from Mike. Good grading, fast shipping. Great to work with.
  11. Purchased a lot of Ghostriders from me. Great to deal with, Thanks!
  12. bought a 9.8 spidey book and it was well packed, shipped quickly and in great shape. excellent transaction thanks!
  13. It looks like I'm in the minority but, while I enjoyed issues 1 & 2 I felt like issues 3 and especially 4 have already started going down hill. I'll give it till issue 8 or 10 like I do most books but so far I'm not getting into it as much as I had hoped.
  14. this stuff is great i'd like to talk to you about a commission piece. i'll pm you shortly.
  15. i don't get batgirl so i probably won't ever read it. i do get batman and i didn't care for the diecut cover. i'll have to see if my local store still has one to read, if it's as bad as you make it out to be i'm interested just for the train wreck curiosity in me. thanks for the info
  16. why's batgirl 13 going bananas? they announce she has beer flavored nipples in this issue or something?
  17. That show was terrible. It had the stink of the WB, or CW as it's called now. The acting style, the way it looked and was filmed, all of it looked and felt exactly like every other garbage show on that channel. My wife sort of enjoyed it, which isn't suprising since she also enjoys 90210. Will not be watching again.
  18. Bought a couple of books from Zuckuss2003. His packing and shipping were excellent, and his professionalism and communication were top notch. Thanks
  19. I bought 7 amazing spider-man issues I was missing from my colection from highradart and the transaction went great. thank you!
  20. I've completed my Wolverine CGC 9.8 Mini - Set, I think I'm putting the whole set on hold. It started with picking up the 1988 Wolverine #1 in 9.8. Then I decided I probably should get #10 as well. Now there was a gap from 2-9 that needed filling. Once that run of 10 books was filled in issues 1-4 from the 1982 Mini-Series were on my menu. Along the way I decided to snag #1 of the 3rd and 4th volumes as well. And that is what I am calling my Wolverine CGC 9.8 Mini - Set, which I think for now is complete and on hold. Going for a complete run sounds like fun but with so many other books I'd love to add to my collection I think I am at a place where I can be pleased with what I've got completed and add to it a little here and there perhaps. Next I think I'm going to move on to the McFarlane Amazing Spider-man. I think I can swing 9.8's of every issue except 300, which I already have a 9.6 of. Wish me luck! 21. nice spidey books. what did you score the ASM 50 9.0 for if you don't mind my asking? i've been working on an ASM run, I have 200-693 raw and a few graded keys.
  22. Batman #612 sketch variant just back from CGC graded 9.8. Looks like I'm going to need to start collecting the Hush run now... Sorry my scanner can't scan CGC books well at all for some reason, they aren't close enough to the glass, bad quality.
  23. I haven't cared for the last 2 story arc, A Larger World and Something to Fear, as much as previous stories. I don't know if I'm in the minority on that or not but I know some others are saying similar. That said I think thats the biggest thing that will burst it's bubble, if the story gets bad/people stop wanting to read the current issues, they won't want the back issues either. I'm still reading it but I don't know how long I will keep it on my pull list.
