  1. ...I've seen the -script..... at the end Clark takes over the Bat Cave and starts to refer to Bruce as "Bat-Beyotch"..... forcing him to do his laundry and bring his pipe and slippers. GOD BLESS.... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u I don't see what's so funny. It could really be true.
  2. I liked the movie very much. And as a GL fan, I was anything but devastated - the opposite of it, actually. +1, I was disappointed by Catwoman but the GL movie was fine. I've liked some movies better, but I didn't hate it, I even watched it again. I've been a GL fan since I was a kid and Hal Jordan was my first love. I too watched it twice. And would be happy to watch it again.
  3. That'd kinda be like Spider-Man getting beat by some F-listers like...oh, say Guardians of the Galaxy. Yup. I think Disney/Marvel will continue to make better movies. They respect the fans and audience and are in it for the long haul. They genuinely care and that's what's missing from Sony and Fox. Care about what? Fans? Audience? Money? The bottom line? Adherence to comic book plots? What?
  4. Or have it shrink and grow back while typing it but that may take a while.... If you were Ant Man, it wouldn't take that long.

  6. This. Time has only galvanized the initial impression that it was terrible. Oh, except for all the people who liked it. And there are actually a lot of them.
  7. Scarlet Jo was a HUGE actor prior to Marvel. And I mean Huge. Ryan Reynolds was excellent in Green Lantern, a movie I very much like. Ed Norton was an A-list actor MUCH before Marvel. Paul Rudd was a Huge actor already - doesn't matter what genre he did a lot of.
  8. RM, those black covers are hard to find as unblemished as yours are. (thumbs u
  9. It didn't happen then, because that poop stain of a movie ruined Daredevil for years. Just like the Green Lantern movie sent prices tumbling for GL keys. When movies are done well, (or series), then the books take off. This also applies to speculative fever before the product is released. (See Flash, Avengers, Iron man etc.) I'm talking about the run-up before the series came out. Why did everyone think first Purple Man was a good buy when details were still sparse? From what I've heard Purple Man will appear in the Jessica Jones series, not DD. The Purple Man was used very effectively in Alias. Creepy beyond belief. Evil at a Joker level. Which is, basically, not the Purple Man. And this proves once again that Bendis more than often either did not know better or did not care anything for the characters. Characters change. Just like people. People change. Just like characters +1

  11. You hate the flash? Yes. The CW stuff is terrible and too much like the OC without all the hot girls. Couldn't disagree more
  12. I liked this actor in Whiplash, but then recently saw him (again) in the latest Divergent series flick. I don't think he's cut out for anything where he tries to be tough -- in any sense of the word. I thought the same thing about Keanu Reeves before I saw the first trailer to Point Break. Fair enough, but he already tried to be a tough guy in INSURGENT (and the earlier DIVERGENT) and it didn't take. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Not to mention CONVERGENT and DETERGENT. (In which he focuses on becoming clean)
  13. Seems to me if someone is (now suddenly because of a movie appearance) an early Aquaman "key" collector, the books to have are Adventure 260 and BB 28. Despite all the requisite ebay mis-information and carnival barking Showcase 30 is not an important book (from a substantive point of view) and is superfluous. -J. I would not characterize Showcase 30 as superfluous. It is certainly a key because DC is testing out the Aquaman character in his own full-length book for the first time ever. I think it's fair to assume that a lot of kids in 1959 didn't get around to reading the back-up feature in Adventure 260 where Aquaman's origin was tinkered with, so Showcase 30 on those spinner racks targeted and won over a lot of readers. In addition, Showcase 30 is published about a year after the launch of the revamped Green Lantern, one month before the launch of the revamped Hawkman, and a few months before the launch of the revamped Atom. Historically speaking, the book comes at a critical point in time during DC's superhero rebirth. I would buy into this logic a little more if BB 28 and his and the JLA's other multiple appearances in the BB run hadn't preceded it, and by such a significant amount of time. And the mere fact that it's part of the "Showcase" run is not, in and of itself, enough to make it a "key". Cool book, cool cover, yes. But Showcase 30 is not a key IMO. -J. Sure it is.
  14. Well said, Jimbo. Showcase ... what a great series.
  15. I am honestly still trying to discern the significance of the book. -J. It may take awhile It is a neat book and was a bit undervalued but has shot way past a reasonable price for it. It is basically the first comic with Aquaman as the main feature/main character on cover. Cool book which I do like, but I can think of a lot of other cooler comics to spend my money on I cannot agree. It has always been an awesome book.
  16. Yep, cool cover! GCD says: Pencils: Di*ck Dillin ? Inks: Chuck Cuidera ?
