  1. There are so many, and they are so great. Little kid comics, humor, funny animal, teen humor, etc. Little Dot Little Lotta Little Lulu Richie Rich Casper Hot Stuff Li'l Abner Blondie Archie (of course) Mutt and Jeff Katzenjammer Kids (and tons of awesome funny animal ones too) just off the top of my head.
  2. Sheer comic and artistic brilliance. All your posted covers are awesome. I have in particular loved the #23 cover for a long time. Thanks for sharing.
  3. Certainly, I wish I had a Sugar and Spike #1. I'll have to go digging to see which of the other Sugar and Spike's I have. Nice thread from the OP. (thumbs u
  4. It might not have been intentional. Possibly the mom and dad were meant to look like they were holding hands. BUT you are correct, it does APPEAR as though Dad is copping a feel!
  5. The Doc has an oilephant memory for books he likes! I hope you did not think my answers were curt or rude at all...I just thought someone else would be able to reply with more depth and knowledge,as the good Dr has. Jimmers Hi Jimmers, No, I did not think that at all! In fact, I appreciated your replies. (thumbs u
  6. Ok, you must be psychic. I myself had even forgotten I used to own a Youthful Hearts #1. I sold it over 2 years ago. So, how did you know that I had one???!
  7. Thanks! I looked back and he said he was going to list some SA, BA. I get that. But do these still qualify as "rare", as in hard to find? And if so, is that due to their higher grade or just in general regardless of grade?
  8. Great cover!! This is 1965 12 cent DC Romance. Please forgive my ignorance, but what qualifies this as a "rare romance comic"?
  9. Son of a I thought I had all of the Big 5 10 cent frogman covers..... But I don't have this one. Now I gotta add another book to my list Thanks a lot Mick That's a great cover, ain't it?! Super condition too!
  10. Packed item really well. Great communication. Very easy transaction. Thank you very much! Highly recommended!!!
  11. Just love that book. Great cover from Brodsky (not mentioned by CGC!). I'm guessing the slight soiling/dust-shadow stuff around and near the "10 cents" accounts for the grade (or maybe something on the back cover too?). I also have a copy, raw. Will try to dig it up and post.
  12. I always liked this cover and this is a nice copy. With the action going to the left, it was a good choice to put the story panels at the bottom. I have to agree, even if I'm kinda used to seeing them on the left side. ..... this is one of my favorite covers from Atlas..... the Everett story is kinda cool too..... GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u Awesome book Mike! That looks like a real stellar copy for the assigned grade. Congratulations 096*********** serial numbers are from a very, very tight period of CGC grading. They will often grade higher on a straight resub. GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u Thanks Caleb, this is one of the better books that I've acquired lately. I agree that the book would probably get a higher grade if I resubbed it jimbo. But I'm not to keen on spending cash just to get a better grade, since this one is a keeper. (thumbs u Glad that it's a keeper.
  13. Did you check the seller's ebay name? LMAO! Oh, that is a funny one. I didn't notice until you mentioned it, and even then I had to decipher it.
  14. Regular ol Windex is what I use. Just use a soft, lint-free cloth and spray onto the cloth (rather than onto the glass) Unless you have grease problems, I find rubbing alcohol is better than any of the glass cleaners for scanner beds (and monitor glass). That's funny, because those are the two things I had thought of too - Windex and rubbing alcohol. I had been leaning towards the rubbing alcohol as well. But wanted to make sure others thought it was safe on the scanner bed. Guess both will work, but I'll try the rubbing alcohol. What material do you use with the rubbing alcohol? That is, do you put it on a cloth (microfiber?) and then use the cloth to clean off the glass bed? Thanks to all of you who responded - much appreciate it!
  15. Yet another reason to not pay too much attention to the PQ. Agreed.
  16. Actually, even in SA, there can be very little choice for PQ. It depends on what SA one collects. There are some early SA genres in which it is pretty much impossible to find anything better than C/OW, and C/OW would be considered not only expected but totally acceptable - and discussion of PQ would be considered totally beside the point.
  17. Great book! Amongst many things I like about the cover: The trees/rocks on both sides of the car. Even they menace! And the eye of doom.
