  1. Hey Doc,

I was in the same boat since my address wasn't on the paypal transaction. But I just received a notification of shipping today by UPS. I was trying to log into his site by email address and it said that I wasn't registered. Glad mine went out though and I have a lot of copies that I should just dump them all on ebay for $40 bucks...lol

  2. Has anyone that ordered Boba (raw) from JTC gotten a shipping notice yet?

I'm order #3173 and still showing a status of "Processing".

I received my order today actually.

i dont even have an account on their website for some reason... just a paypal receipt from my payment...

Same here... I just checked my paypal receipts and noticed that there's no shipping addresses attached to the payments.... hm

  3. I understand that this is the modern thread, but Flash #197 truthfully is not the first appearance of Dr. Zoom... wouldn't the silver age book #139 be correct?

As far as I know, you're correct. That arc that started in #197 was some of the best Flash I've ever read but not a 1st appearance.

    Different Zooms.

But yes, #139 is the 1st appearance of the original Reverse Flash, Professor Zoom.

    #197 is Zoom, Hunter Zolomon.

I forgot. Thank you sir. (thumbs u

Yes thank you for the information. ;)

  4. So like i said in another thread. I would post some information that I have on scanners. I too am plagued by having a very nice all in one Epson that loves to cut the bottom of the scans because it's just not quite big enough. I take my slabs to work where I can scan them using a massive Canon 6550 copier/scanner/everything but the kitchen sink...haha.

I was looking for a newer model scanner to scan slabs since I will be having hundreds of slabs to post in the coming year. After a bit of research I have found that most are over $1k with a few in the $400-700 range.

I wanted a nice cheaper alternative that isn't a Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp tech. Low and behold I found a reasonable priced scanner (to me at least) that was only $280 new, using LED tech and scans tabloid size, otherwise 12"x17".

    Plustek 1180

I've already ordered the scanner and should be at my house on Monday where I can test it. If people are interested in the performance let me know and I can post scans of some books that I have for your review. I don't know if people are willing to spend almost $300 on a scanner but at least I'm not limited to old technology which won't work on windows 7 or 8.

    Hope the info helps.

Zacreth, please do post some scans. I would be interested to see if this will actual scan slabs and if it does the job well, I will definitely buy one. Thanks for being a test subject lol

Haha okay no problem. I have a couple thick slabs and regular slabs. I might have make a video or just a bunch of pictures.

I do know one thing... the box is heavy than my tankless water heater I just bought as well..haha.

  6. Well it is that book but the deal was negotiated after the sale was brought down. The terms contained the amount and not a timeframe. I inquired to the buyer 5 days after the negotiated payment since payment wasn't made and a reply that the payment would be made the next night.

Given that "night" has passed 3 days ago, the buyer comes back and states that he is waiting for payment on a sale in order to complete my sale.

Knowing that the rule states 30 days, I'm trying to find out if I can safely back out and sell to the back up buyer without nomination to the PL. Usually I read the 30 day rule to be primarily towards the sellers due to lack of response or late in mailing an item purchased....

  7. I think from the side of a courteous buyer I agree with you baba. However the rules allow for 30 days for completion on both sides. If the seller doesnt state "payment due in x days unless agreed to beforehand" then they roll the dice on waiting up to 30 days. From the standpoint of being a good person though yea you should pay asap.

That's the problem, I told the buyer that they should have cleared with me if they had problems paying immediately (within 3-4 days typically) not weeks. I would like to cancel the transaction and move the sale to another buyer that is waiting.

But you are right jay, there wasn't an stated "must pay in x days" in the original agreement. (Never had to worry about it since most buyers tell me ahead of time if there are any problems or need time payments...)
