  3. I haven't seen a thread for this one yet. Looks decent. I'll pick one up to see how it reads......anyone else? ---------------------------------------------------------------- An all-new ongoing fantasy series filled with suspense and mystery Creator/writer Joshua Williamson (NAILBITER, GHOSTED), artist Andrei Bressan and colorist Adriano Lucas present BIRTHRIGHT, a bold new fantasy adventure from Skybound/Image Comics, debuting this October. What started as a game of catch in the park between father and son turned into a parent’s worst nightmare. For the Rhodes family, losing their son was the most devastating thing that could’ve ever occurred… but it couldn’t prepare them for what happened when he returned. Skybound’s newest original series will turn fantasy into reality in this oversized debut issue. Williamson explained BIRTHRIGHT’s origin predates both his current hit horror series: "People have asked me if I get worried about being typecast. But I knew BIRTHRIGHT was coming. Even though it opens with what I think is one of the scariest things imaginable in real life... it's a fantasy adventure book at heart. And one Skybound and I have been working on for a long time. Before GHOSTED even came out. “As a fan of adventure and fantasy stories as a kid... it was always great seeing these young kids going on amazing journeys to far way magical lands. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Peter Pan, Explorers, The Neverending Story, Wizard of Oz, Flight of the Navigator. But there were never any real consequences to those adventures... What happens when you come home from this great adventure? What do you do next? How do you go back to normal life? “Those thoughts lead to my obsession with the idea of destiny. If your whole life has been about one moment... one thing that you had to accomplish... what do you do after it is over? How do you go on knowing that the main reason you were born is finished? “That's what Birthright is about: what happens after the adventure." BIRTHRIGHT #1 arrives in stores on 10/8, as an oversized 40 page issue.
  4. Ahhhh the good ol days..........Marvel just won't stop rebooting as far as I can see it anyway, as long as they sucker people into buying all the books over and over again it will never stop.
  5. I was buying these for $1 last year. Seem to be doing pretty good to me. Where were you finding them? I've been watching for them on eBay for well over a year and they don't come up that often in high grade. LCSs that are out of touch with current market values. So true.
  6. You guys don't really wonder why this died do you?? Go back and look at just the last few pages...... It's a freakin mess. People scared and people just really don't have time for that. It's like a bunch of schoolyard kids........
  7. Thanks guys........but as many of us know from years of digging, these are few and far between...... Just glad I ran into one. No lie I probably look at 20 collections of crapola for every one of these I find. Cheers!

  12. I have sold alot over the last few years, but I'm still around 30-40 boxes. Been selling more then buying again this year. How do you guys that use Excel to catalog set it up? Just curious. Peace
  13. I have a few for sale here, maybe I should add a few 000000's to them
  14. I am sure it was a good deal, I hope you sell them, but you are working against yourself when it just looks like dumping. First of all if I decide to sell 1 or 20 it's my business. And if I decide to dump giving a great deal, again, it's my business. Are you serious with your statements. A person decides to sell, is it not his decision. You sit back as you usually do and analyze everything. Make your opinions and comments like you always do, Mr. Know it all, next time I post something I will ask you the professional of when it's a good time I should sell my stuff. You are pathetic bro, you really are..Next time go find someone else to attack with your dumping statement against me. He was just trying to give some advice. I understand his statement and also agree with it. On the other hand I also understand your point, they are your books and you can do as you please with them. All he was trying to say is if you flood the market, the supply will be more then the demand, making the value decrease. Good luck with your sales.
  15. Publishers love the variants for the money they generate, but it drives completist and collectors mad!
  16. Marvel published more Death of Wolverine 1 variants than most companies publish comics. What is the official count on the number of variants for this title? Around the same of most of the recent Image titles Midtown is showing 11 Death of Wolverine variant covers (I don't count any of the signed books) and I suspect more than Midtown has released an exclusive for this book. I know Walking Dead has had a few covers which had a high number of variants. But most of the recent Image titles have? Do you have examples? Wayward had a ton. Between 6 - 8 from what I remember. Nailbiter, Deadly Class, Southern Bastards Spider-man had more variants than Wayward, Nailbiter, Deadly Class, and Southern Bastards combined. While this is true, you can't compare the amount of Spidey fans to those other titles......Spidey will always sell well out of the gate.
  17. Ya that book went Zero to Hero in a hurry....... Nice grab!
  18. Got my box from comicalgems today!! Just awesome is all I can say. Very kind ...
  19. There was also alot of butthurt a while back as well......I am sure it scared off a ton of people. There are some people who don't know when to just let things play out. They always think they need to comment......
  20. Great series! Great RAK for someone!
