Great episode tonight. All the build-up they have been working towards since the season started paid off. I enjoyed Grant Gustin as Barry the first episode, but I felt he grew into the role even better tonight.
The show comes back from the mid-season break sooner than The Walking Dead, but January 15th is still way too long to wait for my liking.

Regarding Menace, adding to the discourse.
I'm not stating a for or against opinion.
But for those asking for more issues, here are some links, beyond the three issues already noted, so that you can make an informed decision:
Ramos OP, missing art? Perhaps miss-communication
His own convention thread. 9 pages of many complaints due to lack of shipping, lack of communication, etc.

All in all looks like allot of miss-communication, or no communication.
Not keeping up with shipments, or not shipping yet at all.
It isn't one instance, two, or three, but many.
You've got the Medina OP, the Scottie Young Sig OP, the RAMOS Op (something amiss), and late or no responses to various convention submissions for SS.
PL or HOS...you decide.
Regardless there is a common theme that needs to be rectified.
Menace (Jake) might be a great guy and a savvy business man.
But...with all due respect he needs a professional wake-up.
And needs to learn to communicate effectively if he wants to conduct business via these boards.
I state this with no malice and wish he and his numerous customers in limbo the best. (thumbs u

You forgot to add the Tony Daniel OP to this list as well. Several issues in this one. None of which were on the artist. Then you had the probation thing which they all got deleted because he was posting personal and paypal info on the boards. Mods deleted most of those before the next morning. And the list goes on.....
As far as removing him. I did receive my refund. But I do think something else should happen here besides removing him or what is the point?
Seems like Menaces problems go a lot further then "Hearsay"

While I agree this isn't a HOS issue, it's certainly a PL issue, and until we fully understand how many people are impacted, we aren't grasping the solution because we're not identifying the problem.
Or more simply, Menace dug this hole for himself, a lot of people are impacted and he doesn't need anyone diminishing the perceived reach of his own actions by splitting the hairs between "ramifications" and "issues".
There are many solid, responsible, earnest facilitators out there and, frankly, they would appreciate more distance being put between the way they handle business and what's being discussed here.
A little surprised by your answer. I thought we were discussing HOS and there needs to be more issues than what has been discussed so far. MightyJohnny kept referring to "the list" of issues. I agree on the PL and I do not see how I am diminishing anything.
When someone says he's got issues with delivering items to several people, it doesn't help clarify the scope of people impacted by calling something like the Medina sketch opp a "single" instance.
There's something like 10 sketches that have been done, completed, and waiting to be sent to CGC to make it back into the hands of the people who bought and paid for them long long ago.
They are ALL impacted, they all have an issue, gripe, and are in need to Menace to get off the pot and do what was promised. Every single person has an individual agreement with Menace. Each one paid, individually, for the service that was promised. Each one of them is owed, individually, the full and complete service they bought and paid for without unreasonable delay.
All I meant was, calling the sketch opp. with anywhere from 6-10 people waiting, unreasonably, for the books to get sent to CGC just "one" issue, gives the reader the impression that it's just one small problem. It's more effective, to determine the scope of what needs to be done to help these people to not lump things into a pile if the lumping leads to calling something like the Medina sketch opp. just one issue.
It's not your intention to do so, but that's what's coming across by fighting the semantic definition of "issues". That's all I meant.
Interesting. In the context of a HOS discussion I think it is very relevant to differentiate. 10 different transactions all with the same undesireable result could be worthy of HOS while this one issue affecting 10 is not.
He should be on the PL until he makes it right. There is nothing I have seen posted here to suggest his intention is to rip people off.
Not refunding Jdub for 5 months is not ripping him off? That is what got him on the POL not the Medina opp.

How does it not make Menace a thief that he ignored pm's, removed himself from pm's, didn't respond to emails, or facebook messages concerning Jdubs return for 5 months? It was a sub $100 returned in July and he didn't bother to provide a refund until he was finally added to the POL and talk of the HOS last night? I'm sorry but Menace is a thief!

No not hearsey what I know is from my conversations with Mike B a year ago when Menace screwed me. Menace also was added to the probie list last May by me. After a long apology Email from him about his family business blah blah blah. I felt bad and request the mods delete my flamming. I'm sure there are some from the ss room than can recall this and back me. Dscott I am sure remembers he helped with the situation.
Ok. So now we're up to 3 issues and the rest as I asked earlier is hearsay.
If one of those issues involves up to 10 people not getting their books because of an unreasonable and inexcusable delay on his part. I am reluctant to dismiss it as a single issue. Each of those people has an issue with him, don't they?
Otherwise we'd have a precedent, for example, for someone who ran a sales thread and did not deliver to 20 different people that it was just one issue because it was just one thread.

Were you reimbursed any money out of pocket for this transaction?
Eventually, so what you are saying is that as long as Menace refunds someone he screwed over then it's OK and he should be allowed to keep doing it? How about in Jdubs case where Menace received the book back in July, he then ignored pm's, emails, and facebook message from Jdub and didn't respond or refund him until the after he was added to the probie thread this week?

Let's all just vote for HOS and be done with it. The dude had a rep long before this. In all the times he has screwed over buyers he still has yet to learn or improve his dealings. We don;t need people like him on here especially since he is a facilitator and chooses to handle business with us this way.

John returned the book and Jake said he received the book back but never gave the refund or the replacement.Am I the only one who doesn't understand what Menace did to get on the probation list?Don't forget that Jake received the book back something like 5 months ago.

Please add Menace to the probation thread. It has been 72 hrs with no response to my new pm I created in regards to my Young SS 9.8.
I contacted Medina on Facebook. All the sketches are finished for the opp. Jake has not gotten in touch with him on how to send them to CGC. So I am only requesting probation thread for my Young SS book. Hopefully, the Medina stuff will be resolved soon.
You would think that this might be enough for CGC to cut ties with him.
I say he vote to put him on the HOS! Considering how many people he has jerked around I think it is justified!
At the very least, a PM to the SS coordinator.
Trust me Mike is aware of the problems with Menace but never seems to act on it. I know I called Mike when Menace screwed me last year.

I just want to add here that John (J Dub) knows how all of the sketch ops and SS things work. He is my CAW when I am facilitating a show so he knows the ins and outs of the SS world.J Dub just from perusing that thread, I have a feeling medina stuff is more on the artist and less on him. That does not at all excuse his lack of communication but as Miraclemet mentioned, facilitated sketches are very difficult simply because the artist can sometimes be a and take forever to get their work done, and that is not necessarily the fault of the facilitator. Granted a good facilitator will be in touch the whole time (just as an example I had a book signed by Stan Lee and was supposed to be signed 2 days later through a Facilitator by JR SR, 2 days became 4 months. The facilitator kept updating me though explaining on what was going on and I did eventually get the book)That may be true and it may be on the artists but this seems to be a constant problem with Menace. Lack of communication, lying about books being completed, missed deadlines. I'm sure many members can back me up here that it is not a new issues with him, nor has he shown any signs of trying to improving it. I know I'm not the only one who will no longer deal with him, I'm sure some others will chime in with similar experiences.
Jake (menace) is a bad reflection on all facilitators and his track record speaks for itself. Maybe one day someone with some power will take a look at how he operates.
Couldn't;t have said it better myself, his reputation and practices hurts all facilitators.

This is getting to be ridiculous and offensive. I am tired of the same click on these boards ganging up and trashing new members when one of them gets upset. THIS HAS TO STOP!!! Everyone of these post are offensive and should be blocked and their posters hit with strikes. Why s nothing being done? It's no wonder the CGC boards have such a bad reputation among the collecting community.
