  1. I personally don't think it will start with Superman, as that property is loaded with the most baggage right now due to the hostility from nerds loosing their Cavill being still be fresh when announced early next year (no sense to put it out there in the news cycle when it would just be walking into a hornets nest). I could see him coming in with some other unknown underdog films (trying to put other characters on the map, much like the first Iron Man did); perhaps other JSA members we have not yet seen.
  2. Far less of a stretch than calling it a documentary (I'm going to assume you meant biopic though, and you don't actually think it's a doc)
  3. There are no others. Only two good movies that really capture the essence of Wonder Woman. That was too easy guys, come on
  4. At least we FINALLY know what exactly the Rock was cooking; the books!
  5. Ah well, at least we got two very good Wonder Woman movies out of all this...tap out before it gets worse.
  6. Oh man, I'm loving this sad, weird ride. I believe it, it's just silly enough to be true in these wild times.
  7. They really did feel low, as even though prices for that run have been pretty stable I was expecting at least some notable increases. I would have bid on several of them but I was holding out for the large 21 golden age comic lot later in the day (which ended up going for more than I could afford). I regret passing on Adventure #56 at only $600. The two Adventure #48 felt off to me; while the 5.0 hammer price of $6600 isn't the worst it does feel lower than ever (6.0s were pulling in $9k two-five years ago so I was thinking this as at least 7k). I feel the 3.0 hammer price is going to be a blight on the GPA for years now for anyone selling; people will just see that a Universal 3.0 sold for $3k and haggle from there without knowing it was both a brittle book AND was covered in millions of stamps making it an eye-sore to most collectors. Compare that to the 1.8 which sold for 4K in 2021 that had good PQ and looked very nice - which I felt was closer to the value, albeit slightly high.
  8. Always loved these two but they have been out of financial reach; however, I only just learned that the Mexican Edition of Witches Tales #25 includes a back cover that features the art from Black Cat #50...which means there might be an affordable option for me to get BOTH at the same time
  9. One of the most important things to get right, but honestly I personally would love it if they DIDN'T include any Superman films initially. I would love it if he simply appeared as a cameo on other movies, saving someone and flying away in a blur - or in news reports talking about his good deeds & acts of kindness (basically give us the opposite of JJJ reporting on Spider-Man), which inspires other heroes within their movies. I would love the sense of aspiration being held by the DCU first as they, and us, look up to (both figuratively and literally) to this amazing mysterious bastion of kindness. Build up to him so his movie isn't just another Superman film, but something that feels special and has already started pulling on our heartstrings before exploring who he is and his relationship to this new DCEU roadmap.
  10. Not even just the 56, but there are a slew of More Fun books in this line up which is something we don't often see all at once (same goes for Adventure Comics. There are TWO copies of #48 for sale, as well as many other Hourman/Sandman covers from the run). I'm really excited to see what those pull, though feels everything is very low right now (I'm resisting the urge to bid on both of those #48 as they just do not get listed often and are woefully undervalued IMO)
  11. I honestly would love and would be very impressed if they decided to commit to total reset and outright canceled Flash, Shazam 2, and everything else regardless of cost/completion. Big respects to do that at this point but would make me even MORE interested in the future
  12. Nobody was rushing to see any of those movies just because of Boseman being cast, and those who might have did so in such small numbers it showed in the lower than expected box office performances. Nobody is saying Boseman wasn't a good actor or a star, just that he wasn't a major draw like the stars of generations past (almost nobody is anymore. Cruise might be the last, but even then that has waned significantly). Boseman was a special case when it came to recasting due to the absolute reverence and respect the black community held for him thanks to the first BP movie, and the respect he gained going through his illness - it would have been a PR nightmare to try recasting him and just better all around to honour him in the movie this way. Tarantino is right, people are not rushing to see superhero films BECAUSE OF WHO IS CAST, rather they are first and foremost going to CBMs because of the characters. Great actor, with incredible movies and a movie star, yes, but not a draw as compared to guys in Hollywood prime like Grant, Schwarzenegger, Peck, Hepburn, Cruise. He was talking about the classic draw power from actor name recognition.
  13. I would do anything it takes to change the producers minds about this...I would even rub another mans rhubarb!
  14. Top right corner in your before slab...seen that a dozen times: looks like the cover is higher than the interior, this is due to how the book was slabbed, possibly tightness or it sticking, and results in the cover and interior pulling apart during shipping/handling/shaking. Basically small rips near the staple and pulling...I have it on a 9.6 book that I know won't regrade as such (and if I tap the case I can 'reset' the interior into the cover wrap) any notes?
  15. Same here, as I loved the first one so hoped they could deliver something like that again. This was the one DC movie I thought had the most 'wildcard' possibility of being a surprise hit. The good news is it might just mean that this specific treatment got scrapped - and perhaps they just want to 'reset' the trilogy to something more in line with a new Gunn direction. I can't see them not using WW in some way, as they should want to capitalize on using Gadot while she is free for the role.
  16. Hope it happens...and if ends up with profits equal to its name sake, Seven Bucks, it will tie with Black Adam!
  17. Gunn: "Hi guys, don't mind the mess - I just have here all the footage from Batgirl sitting on my desk...now if you will excuse me I need to turn my back to you all for several minutes" *wink wink wink*
  18. This is a weird one and honestly one I find is highly dependant on the books interiors - if these holes lay within the gutter and don't come close to impacting any printed material (be it panels, texts stories, or advertisements) I feel they are less of an issue than an outright missing piece like a MVS. However I feel about them I certainly know I don't feel good seeing books in the 8.0-9.0 Universal range with them regardless of how good they otherwise look (Qualified would be fine though). Capping it out at 4.0/4.5 universal I am fine with.
  19. I personally would rather they use Spectre as a big villain for either an early 1940s JSA movie (or a modern Constantine / Justice League Dark film), as it would give something scary and threatening for the team to come together to face, and in the end 'fix' whatever was causing the Spectre entity to be on a rampage (perhaps he was detached from his host human body, and once reunited is back to sound mind and joins the team)
