I don't see this book going down. If you have to have it, pony up the cash.

I know a lot of people don't agree with me on this, but I thought Hardy's take on 'BANE' was fantastic.
I might agree with you if I could understand half of what he was saying through that stupid mask...

Neither can farting on a book and letting it air out. Neither farting nor pressing is equivalent to undisclosed destruction of a book meant to defraud a buyer.
Note to self... do not attempt to enjoy smell of old paper on any of Transplant's books...

He'd better be talking about a Brubaker Cap 2, or I'll be the thief, and after a brief sale, granny will get some money back.

In the Lost Boys, they walk through a dimly-lit but well-stocked comic store. Good luck identifying them all

High grade means nothing to me. Ten times out of ten, I take the AF15, but I'm sure both parties were happy with the trade.

I call foul. No way does a store have a $3 bin with ASM252 just laying around, the kids would eat that up. Are you sure the box was out for sale, and said $3? If this is legit, I think you cost someone his job.

*shrug* The guy can sell his stuff for whatever he wants, or not at all. I'd hate to get jerked around like that, but I have no sympathy for flippers and middle men.

No mention of Fantastic Four from the early 90's. The first season was dreadful, but John Buscema took on the art direction for season two, which made all the difference. The audio is a little off, but well worth the viewing, starting with "And a Blind Man Shall Lead Them" from FF39-40.
By the way, shame on the guy who downloaded them, but didn't buy them... *wags finger*

Wow... I predict this will bring the movie speculators to their knees. People will be buying and selling New Mutants 87 in the $75-100 range, and not one person will actually be happy to own one.
I love Nitro, so I notice when 86's turn up. There weren't a ton around even when people were still buying New Mutants back issues.

Happy all around, definitely on my list of people to buy from again with confidence.

I'm done with this show. Let me know if anyone shows up in costume.

Don't ask someone else their business, esp. on a public message board. What difference does it make?
The more you hose a guy, the more insulting the PM offers will be when you sell, of course!

This is what I think caused the major disappointment amongst the fans. The majority thought it be about Marvel super heroes, but the last time I looked it was called Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. When we read S.H.I.E.L.D. the comic book what did we get?
What did we get reading SHIELD? Super villains! Fixer, Mentallo, hordes of Hydra, Baron Strucker, Yellow Claw, AIM, LMDs, Scorpio...
What did we not get then that they stuck in the tv show now? Two goofy scientists begging for screen time... *barf*

Absolutely no real market for this but I think it is a very cool piece of pop culture and I am very pleased to add it to my collection.
1958, Spirou No. 1071.
Very nice! Do you plan to do a run? You can't just have one lonely Smurf...

Not a bad haul this morning. Long run of Batman Confidential(2-37). $1 for the SS hardcover.
That hardcover is by far the best book in the batch, especially for $1. The whole book is one page splashes of Buscema art, and much harder to find than those FF's. (thumbs u

I've just been reading about a PM sale go bad, and the question put forth is why anyone should begrudge a dealer for turning a profit. In my opinion, making a local find entitles you to set your asking price, you did the work. However, buying a book from one boardie to jack up the price and flip to another boardie seems like bad form. The pool is small enough as it is.
More than that, though, after listening to bickering back and forth, I just find I want to deal with fewer and fewer people on the boards. Anyone else get that freeling?

Am I the only one thinking this could use more color touch, but this time to cover the 2nd signature? Only question is, which one did they authenticate?

It's very easy to get pegged as someone without the entire basis of the facts. None of the things Ed has said is untrue and I cannot dispute his perception of the events. He's right.
However am I the only one that's ever done that? Doesn't stuff happen to all of you?
Truthfully, no. I think you're apologizing because you're in trouble, not because you think you did anything wrong. If you have no regard for the person on the other side of a deal, that scares me enough not to conduct business with you in the future.

No evil, just... I'd like to say a lack of understanding on how to interact with others and open a meaningful dialogue, but we are in a comic forum! Social skills are not a prerequisite for collecting comics! That was more like tugging on mom's skirt until she pays attention to you, and he wouldn't give up.
I just expect better around here.

Someone grab Black Lightning 2, first Merlyn

Friends and board members, I come before you to confess my sins. There's a poster to whom I wish to commit barbaric atrocities, although we've never met. He's been asking for GA books in a thread I've been following, and he continues to hound the seller, even though everyone's ignoring him, hoping he'll go away. I don't know if he's been "touched" or if he's just naturally obnoxious, but I have a strong desire to change the size of his shirt collar.
Is it reasonable to PM the poster, requesting that he refrain from blurting out his questions in the thread, or am I being too sensitive?

DC Comics Presents 1
Sorry, already claimed

I don't know who we're talking about either, but poor grading is common in this industry. There are long-time sellers on eBay who make me curse when I open a thread only to see their name.
In terms of the boards, ignore if you can, negotiate by PM if you must. I think it's perfectly acceptable to say "I'm offering X because the grade looks Y to me"

Fun haul, but I'm curious... why buy comics you don't know anything about?
