    This series should have been a book at the end of Phase III of the High Republic or an epilogue to it. I feel like a lot of source material from Phase II of the High Republic would have made for a more captivating show or movie. I enjoyed the series, but can see why some did not. There really wasn't a threat or holy set of events that forced you to care about the characters.

    Larys Strong told him they had to leave. It was a pretty long scene where Larys was convincing Aegon they had to leave to ride out the war in a safe place and return as a uniter. Larys is playing the very long game.

    Yeah, there is no telling how many the publishers actually print. There are quite a few instances of these newer “rare” ratios showing up in Walmart multi-packs or even 5 Below, I believe. I think some are even made available to shops at very discounted prices well after the original release date of these books.

    Yeah, many of the YouTubers angry about this show don’t really know much about Star Wars TBH. Got to get those clicks and views, though.

    That is always needed to tell a story. I feel that some episodes were stronger than others in regard to the writing, but as a whole, yes, the caliber of writing hamstrung the show. I enjoyed it, but it’s because I’ve been interested in this period of Star Wars for the last couple years. With that said, I’m not blind to the fact that it had its weaknesses and could have been much better.

    I hear what you’re saying here, but this show was never promoted as a heroes journey. Before the show even premiered it was communicated that this show was about the sith and the sith coming out of the shadows. I have no issue with this approach as it’s not really new. There have been dark Jedi in canon and we’ve seen characters like Dooku become completely jaded by the republic and Jedi order that they turned to the dark side completely by ultimately killing Yaddle. That was a calculated slow burn. No madness involved. I get it that people want the good Jedi hero journey, which there is plenty of media focusing on that. I’m glad there is a variety of options.
