I haven't heard this one..... Red Sonja Movie

If I had $1250 laying around I sure wouldn't spend it on a Hulk 271 Seems a little better than Shazam #28. A second appearance book vs "1 st Bronze age" appearance book. Which is the more perplexing? The fact that neither is a first appearance is perplexing At least Shazam 28 is a 2nd appearance where the first appearance, Marvel Family 1, is next to impossible to find. Both Hulk 271 and Marvel Preview 7 are readily available. I did not know Black Adam appeared in only one comic prior to the Shazam #28 appearance. Wow. Learn something every day. In my opinion, that just makes #28 that much more desirable. Maybe I'm crazy... It's his first appearance sine 1945! That's 70 years It's not your average second appearance.

I've noticed Detective 474 keeps climbing. I read somewhere about a Suicide Squad movie. I thought Deadshot right away. Went to see his first app and it is Batman 59. Most people will be going for his second app 474. Looked at finished listings and they are being bought up. Still affordable though.

Of course, but every book is going to be different based on a lot of different factors specific to that comic. for creator owned titles it appears you need to be selling 7000-8000/issue to stay afloat. I know when I asked Matt Kindt about Mind MGMT and he said Dark Horse was really happy with how many copies he was selling (usually in the 4-6k range) Would be interesting to see what each companies break even is. 4-6k doesn't seem like much.

Sorry if this is a repetitive question. Is there a break even point for the publisher and creative team. There seem to be tons of titles barely pulling a few thousand.

I'm a huge Black Adam fan and I'm one of the seven with a 9.8. I really hate to depart with it but dang if someone will put some cash down I might part with it. Maybe I put it on the Bay for a crazy amount and see if anyone bites.

What about issue 25 first Isis. She could play a big role in the movie. Although her name isn't the best name to have right now.....

Anyone know if this a good read or just low print run driving sales?

Well good to know the DH stuff is as good or if not better. Only thing is DH is on what, issue 100 something of the Marvel series? A lot more stories to tell......

Do any of you guys read the Dark Horse Conan stuff? I'm a huge Conan collector have a full run of the Marvel series and working on Savage Sword. However, I've actually never read the Marvel series. I LOVE what Dark Horse is doing and curious what you guys think?

I saw this news on another board earlier this week. I have no doubt though, that this board does influence the market to some degree.

Thank you was waiting for someone to post this I know it's his second appearance. However, there are tons of examples of later "first appearances" being worth good coin. Avengers 4, countless batman villains, etc. I'm not saying youre going to send your kid to college with this, just that I think you can make a nice flip.

Sold a mid grade for $50 recently. Not particularly easy to find for some reason. I don't even know where my high-numbered Shazams are . . . the attic maybe? Check under your alphabetized S's You can't go wrong with major villains at this point. Eventually they will use them all! I really think Shazam 28 will blow up though. I've been trying to grab some and they're getting harder to find and the prices are slowly increasing. I guess if Black Adam doesn't show up in a movie it could die down? Im betting on it though I got lucky on Avengers 55, Iron Man 55, Jimmy Olsen 134, and New Teen Titans 2. On the other hand I've lost money on a Super Heroes first apps go figure

What do you guys think of Shazam 28. The prices have been going up monthly. Possible speculation on The Rock playing Black Adam? Low CGC census, is that due to no one caring or low print runs?
