It seems the prices are dropping on both series. Why are they so heavily tied to TSG? If TSG got picked up for a tv show the Damned would be next?

Everyone knew this title would lose steam during the break. I've read dozens of post saying pick up during the hiatus you will get good deals. Well that time is now.

I would pick up Rachel Rising at cover. Don't want to miss your chance at the next hot thing. Not saying it will reach SG or PP status but a forty dollar investment that could easily double.

Hate to interrupt this lovers quarrel but I made a nice haul today at cover. I was like a kid t a candy store.

I never buy more than 2-3 copies of a single issue but I bought half of my LCS stock. The next week I went in to pick up new books and I heard three people looking for EOW. I felt bad that I took copies that potential new readers could be getting into the series. Now I see how speculators could ruin a title. I understand there are other printings or a TPB but if word of mouth doesn't spread you could potentially kill the series. I see the other side as well. If its sold out and you can't get copies it must be good etc. It's a strange issue one where I can see the boardies siding with buy them all instead of a few copies so others can enjoy.

How do you find sales figures for anything before 1991? Just curious how many of those are floating around. Sounds like you guys have a lot sitting around.

That's crazy isn't there a large print run? So mad I could have got a 9.8 for $75 six months ago.

I've been waiting for a good price on X-Factor 6 for a while. Randomly I saw number 5 in 9.8 for $55 so I snagged it before the rush. I guess my shot at number 6 will have to wait until after the movie.

How come prices for issue 1 arent going crazy after the announcement Arnold would be back to play Conan. Not enough people care, its too early?

Thanks guys! I agree I enjoy both reading and collecting. I'll go after Conan 23 to the to do list. I really want to get my Blank Red Sonja cover sketched soon, which might be my next move. Also gettting a 30 cent variant in higher grade. I have a few but all lower grade.
