  1. Hey Ken, Great to meet you at the signing at Phat Collectibles today! Loving the book! Thanks for the prints and thanks for having a presence on these boards!!! - Mr.SoloDolo aka ManOnTheMoon
  2. Wow! this thread has turned into madness...
  3. Ohh thats a nice one. If anyone is going to pick some up, please put me on that list as well. +1
  4. Chiwetel Ejiofor is the Operative and he would be a perfect Black Panther! And YES, 100% agree! Firefly is my favorite T.V. show off all-time!!! I was not a fan of space shows or westerns... Until, I watched this show. Fox really screwed up on this one!!!
  5. This was right before the huge spike in Sah-Gah books. !
  6. Rick Ross' - Hustlin never sounded better. If this comic stuff doesn't work out you should get into the rap game! Also, that Mr. T and the T Force #1 is the business!!! Do you still have the Gold Foil Trading Card Jimmy? I'll trade you some Sah-gah for it!
  7. With the way things are trending for 1st Appearances in other comics (Green Wake 7, Morning Glories 14, Walking Dead 93) I think it might. It helps that 3 Story is also a Matt Kindt book and that could add some interest. Plus, 3 story has a really low print run.
  8. There is always the digital versions. E.S. Stated that the print run for #3 was 9kish 12k - #1 9k - #2 Thats not the exact number but it was posted in the thread earlier Cool. Thanks for the info. Blond pie.. Yum! (thumbs u
  9. Hit 4 LCS here in San Diego and didn't find one copy of #3. All sold out. Oddly enough, I found some #1 first prints though. Shop owner said that the book was listed as a 1 of 4 mini in the initial ordering process. So he didn't order as much. What was the print run on #3? Seems severely underordered. Kinda mad that I cant read the book right now.
  10. I was thinking the same exact thing. Any boardies go to the signing? If so, how many people were there?
  11. Just joking... You put your SAGAH funny books in there! !
  12. There's no doubt that this is one of the better comics to have come out in the past year and a half. Brian Vaughn's plotting and writing is superb and the art by Fiona Staples is a treat every issue. I just wish there were more copies out there. How's that for contrarian? It's as I say, if more people would take the chance and pre-order books they think are going to be exceptional, there would be a bigger pool of copies out there and the bubble effect might be a bit more muted. When everyone catches on after the fact and then there is a scramble for a limited number of books, it actually can hurt the market in the long run either by discouraging new collectors who feel they don't have a chance to compete on the early issues, or by ultimately running the risk of injuring collectors who paid bigger bucks for books and not being able to resell them because the prices got so far out of sight that they popped and the market collapsed. If I took a chance on every book that I thought was going to be exceptional, I'd be stuck with a mess load of Epic Kill #1's! SAGAH! #1 had about a 40K print. It is no Walking Dead or Peter Panzerfaust in regards to print runs. Most thought it was going to be good... But not this good. I personally never heard of Saga until a few weeks after its release. I read it. And I really, really enjoyed it. What I'm getting at is that sometimes people gotta actually read a comic first, to appreciate it. And that's exactly whats happening with SAGAH! right now.
  13. It's not like you were trying to order 10 or even 20 of each. Customer is king. Mental Note: never buy from ComicsAmerica.com
  14. I wonder how Hardcore #1 would do if it were turned into a TV show on AMC.... No need to wonder. There's only enough material for a promo. Yeah really.. where the hell is issue #2???! Didn't it take about 2 years to get #1 on the shelves? If they do a #2 it will be out May 2014 or 2015 Wasn't it a one-shot?
  15. 20 yrs from the 90s crash, just in time for another! GOD. BLESS. MERICA! 'MERICA!!!!
  16. gotta be a joke. Plus, Tony Moore has nothing to do with that issue.
  17. I sold a 9.6 blue label #1 for 90 this week. should have spared that 9.4, eh? . That video was funny. It's even funnier now!
  18. [/img] Just got this in the mail!
  19. Kurt is on the boards regularly... Mirra Sway... in a bikini, with helicopters, guns and tiny remote controlled uav's. hahaha!
  20. if you read the phantom thread, I believe I was the first to bring it up(improving the logo), and in a constructive way, but no one really responded. Then several pages later a whole conversation got going on it, and you made adjustments. The other point I believe I made, which I still havent seen any other feedback on to my knowledge is this: If you are commissioning the art, then obviously you can have some input in it. Give you artists the logo dimensions, let them work a spot FOR IT(to be added after, but integrated), into the actual picture itself. It can be anywhere they choose on the cover, and look like a part of the picture, or blend into it much more. (like having it in the girl's sweater for instance, or on the barn, etc). You will make much more BADASS looking covers that way, and any sense of it being a "store" variant will vanish, along with it just looking sick in general. Try one, the feedback will be mega positive, guaranteed. (Imagine one of the snow flakes being the phantom logo on her shirt, etc.) (thumbs u I remember that being mentioned by you before! Love that idea! But Im sure that these were commissioned long before the feedback. That snowflake idea would be gold! Kudos to Larry for taking the constructive feedback. Now how about some Phantom Variants on great books that need the exposure, like Panzerfaust and Think Tank!
  21. I really like the covers. Just a quick question, were these made specially for the Phantom or were these previously done by Jenny Frison. Cause I think I saw the original art for these a long while back. Also, I like that you took some of our suggestions on the Phantom Logo. It looks more Phantom like now. ! and it blends better with the artwork. I commissioned all 12 covers from Jenny around the timer #2 shipped. The image is exclusive for comics. Problem was getting enough stockpiled to run the program. Jenny's art takes time. Well worth the wait for Jenny's art!
  22. Did you brake you're magic ate ball? You no the answer. (thumbs u
