  1. I think I pre-ordered a few when i made this thread (like i did with star wars), but cant remember , gonna have to check the email. I think I just did 5. Been spending way to much lately.
  2. I got my 9.8 Third Eye from Pinky Lee Zepplin my 1:10 9.8 from krighton my sketch and reg 9.8s I slabbed myself Pretty happy to have assembled the set since I was just a little late on the revival train last summer. Revival prices really struggled in Nov and early december, but are coming back on strong. Look at this Deal: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Revival-1-CGC-9-8-NM-MINT-Third-Eye-Awesome-Con-Variant-Image-Comics-2012-/321036757819 Compared to the last sale now: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Revival-1-CGC-9-8-3rd-Third-Eye-Comics-Awesome-Con-NBC-TV-Show-In-Development-/281048121377
  3. Never bought into that one, worked out ok. I think the fact that this team is celebrated already for the FF stuff, is going to have an impact. Same way pundits and bloggers launched the Wii to success in the last gen console wars. Social Media and Web buzz matters to getting eyes on a book, this one has that via critic anticipation, PLUS cover of previews. It might not be an instant craze like Star Wars, but its going to do well. I still think it will become his main book and start to dent Manhattan
  4. , i was trying to reply from the "i may, and you already updated it, to DID. @50% off, you cant really lose. That's less than a good meal at mc donalds
  5. yah, it was hot in the late summer, early fall. with the lower grades, you can always try and pair them with other same grade books for someone trying to get in without paying up for the 9.8s. Or package them with raw books works not bad as well.
  6. agreed, there are still deals to be had, but they are starting to vanish. Third Eye and Sketches can be found pretty fairly priced still. 9.8 regs are doing REALLY well, and the 1:10 is starting to play catch up.
  7. imo, given that one just sold, I'd BIN for the price you want, with best offer, and see if any of the guys that lost out in that one are having second thoughts.
  8. Yah, so art and accessories are cool and all But let's talk comic books Revival 9.2 being bid up to the break even cost on cover+CGCing, very nice http://www.ebay.com/itm/REVIVAL-1-CGC-9-2-2012-1ST-PRINTING-NO-RESERVE-/300842968055 A 9.6 selling for a new high, sweet http://www.ebay.com/itm/REVIVAL-1-1st-Print-CGC-9-6-NBC-Show-SOLD-OUT-Hot-HTF-2012-/181059656048 1:10 Variant selling for over $100 again, double sweet http://www.ebay.com/itm/Revival-1-CGC-9-8-1-10-Variant-NBC-TV-Show-In-Development-Seeley-Norton-/271134498178 42 bids and over $450 for a set of sketch, reg, and 1:10, BOO-YAH http://www.ebay.com/itm/REVIVAL-1-Sketch-Variant-Regular-All-CGC-9-8-White-Pages-Investors-Lot-/140903091830 Don't let the SAW-GAW mania hide you to the nice work Revival is putting in. It's starting to push towards the early launch highs again, and any updates on the NBC thing will make it a screamer. Deals to be had still, but decent sales starting to out number the bad. Still better to BIN, but some Auctions doing pretty solid.
  9. yah, some of my Deadpool Kills #1 had that last summer
  10. Considering a Revival 9.6 sold for $60, that seems odd
  11. Cheers, glad I managed to catch your attention this time
  12. if you read the phantom thread, I believe I was the first to bring it up(improving the logo), and in a constructive way, but no one really responded. Then several pages later a whole conversation got going on it, and you made adjustments. The other point I believe I made, which I still havent seen any other feedback on to my knowledge is this: If you are commissioning the art, then obviously you can have some input in it. Give you artists the logo dimensions, let them work a spot FOR IT(to be added after, but integrated), into the actual picture itself. It can be anywhere they choose on the cover, and look like a part of the picture, or blend into it much more. (like having it in the girl's sweater for instance, or on the barn, etc). You will make much more BADASS looking covers that way, and any sense of it being a "store" variant will vanish, along with it just looking sick in general. Try one, the feedback will be mega positive, guaranteed. (Imagine one of the snow flakes being the phantom logo on her shirt, etc.)
  13. If people dont want them, dont buy it. But i dont see how it can "harm speculators". Image firsts does a *spoon* load more to harm 1st prints of a book (as do, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, prints etc), from a speculators point of view. Same with TPBs. Those are nice looking covers, and if it brings in more readers, or restarts buzz for the book, its going to PUSH UP the real first prints, not harm them... Cause those who just want a read, already have Firsts and TPBs, and the people that want the real deal will be growing in terms of numbers due to exposure, and supply isnt changing....
  14. 4 pages back, on page 385 http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=260514&Number=6290823#Post6290823
  15. erm, I just counted on ebay.com There are 9 CGC'd Saga books, that are first prints, TOTAL . It's really getting cleared off ebay all together.
  16. I slabbed and pressed my two worst copies of the original 5 I had, and both 9.8'd, sold one, kept one. Of the six I have left (added three last week for $20 each), the three older ones are natural 9.8s, the new 3 need pressing, but 2 of them should 9.8 easily. The heavier stock and white cover presses very well. The last one has a more severe bindery tear then usual, not sure where it would come out.
  17. you should sell enough runs to cover all yours costs to this point, then sit back on the rest, now free, smoking a cigar like a boss. It's funny you posted a pic, i just took one too, at that price, are these boys worth slabbing?
  18. I need to get myself one of those Stunning... +1 and good to see you posting larry
  19. GREAT SALE! Indeed. There aren't many #2 9.8's on the bay, even fewer 3's and up I was buying them in the fall, and they were all pretty regular, its thin right now though. Was looking up what I paid for the 9.8 of 2 i bought in the fall... Just realized, I sold a set of saga 1-6 for $42 last summer . At least they were the worst copy of each book I had, still... But, I got the #2 9.8 blue for 43, and paid cover for the raws, so they even out i suppose.
  20. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SAGA-1-2-CGC-9-8-PLUS-3-4-5-6-7-8-ALL-NM-OR-BETTER-/110992689375 not sure how that one got missed, but GOOD GRIEF...
  21. Looks like Borderlands mixed with Carnivale
  22. I agree, but while Manhattan projects does well in the secondary, what are it's sale numbers like for him? From what I see of this book, I think it might have a shot at becoming his flagship.
  23. My LCS is hyping it, and its focused on in the previews. Think this one has legs? I like Hickman, and enjoyed FF, its a great team.....Discuss. http://www.previewsworld.com/Home/1/1/71/977?articleID=129666
  24. i think ebay's currently above on all three. should be interesting to watch those GPA numbers to see the change as they come in.
  25. there are several NYCC's in ebay, not showing up there yet, but all of them are in the range of what you posted. NYCC color is far and away the worst performer. I bet it's cause of the adjusted print run confusion, and listing as orderable.
