I ditched the right hand column in the posts view.
I left it on the thread list.
Some people were asking for it, and I think we are going to keep it because of the promotion of the marketplace. BUT, I agree, it didn't really belong on the page with the posts.

We aren't prepared to moderate it, and the board software maker is discontinuing the feature in April.

Yes, you can. When you are in your inbox and have a message selected, just over the top of the messages are little boxes for each participant. At the bottom of each box is whether they've read it, and how long ago.

So on the attachment delete, it's a feature for you and broken content for everyone else. Not sure we'll enable that.
On the picture embeding, that's true. Not sure we can change it.

Make sure you have your notifications set to receive an email when you "receive a message":

The old board is still open, so it's possible that someone sent / is sending PMs on the old board AFTER the migration. Those PMs would not appear here.

Yeah, I can put spoon back. IT's a low priority right now, though, AND I'm kind of wondering whether leaving a blank is actually more peaceful then making obvious that somebody swore.

There is not a way for you to do that as an individual that I know of, but I think there was some kind of setting to toggle that behavior for the whole site.
If the general consensus was to use line breaks instead of paragraphs, then we could consider that.

I don't see any easy way to do this as of right now. I will keep an eye out.

I don't think there is a way to allow people to personalize the colors... or at least it's not super easy

I do see a way to make a few versions on the theme, (high/low contrast, etc.) and we may do that.

These areas will populate over the next week and the post-processing completes.

Members is the primary user group of that person.  So Admins say admin, moderators say moderators, and magical unicorns say magical unicorns.
 

This looks like it might be an issue with the theme that was used to style the boards. There is a theme update available. As the boards settle out, we will look into and correct this issue.

In most cases it has been because a user THINKS they know what email address their old board account was under, but it turns out they used the wrong one and ended up making a new account.
I encourage you to double check whether you were using the right email.

Set it to notification instead of email.

We will be listening to everyone's comments and tweaking the skin setting in response as we go.
We may also provide a couple of selectable options for folks with differing preferences. Just give it a little time, please.

Here is the official deal with sig lines:
All of our sig lines have been migrated to the new board. They are there. I promise. The default setting for each user is to NOT show sig lines. The implementation of single sign on seems to have hidden the settings page that would let individual users change that. I don't see an easy way to default everyone to have signatures ON - and I bet a good chunk of people would complain even if I could do that. We WILL bring signatures back. Just have to work out some kinks. Please be patient Since woowoo asked, I will manually turn on signatures for him so that he can SWEAR that they work for everyone, but no one will believe him.  

Well..... that's not really a thing. Since some threads have thousands of posts, that could be pretty brutal on the system. So there isn't a link for that.
But I might run a poll about what the best number of posts per page is. I just moved it from 25 to 30 a little bit ago.

If that's a popular request , we could probably just add a menu item for it.

Fixed. Interesting that you could get yourself into that problem, though.
 

Signature lines do exist in the new system. The default setting for member accounts is to make them invisible. The ability to turn that back on for yourself is currently conflicting with some single sign on configurations, so we will have to follow up on this one over this week. Right now, you can't see them.

I made a change to stop treating the header as a floating header and it seems to have fixed this issue for now.

The header at the top was interfering with access to the controls on some iphones. I made an adjustment that seems to have fixed this for now.

This is likely part of the post-processing steps that will associate your account with all of its content over the course of the next several days.

The image upload was broken at launch. The boards host has fixed the issue. You should be good to go.

Links to old threads on the old message boards will eventually re-direct automatically to the correct thread on the new boards. But that will take a bit of time before everything is fully cut over.
