  1. I absolutely love the sketchbook section in the trades. I've got a lot of the art discussed in those pages. Cool seeing the progress and insight put into all that.

EDIT: actually, the sketchbook section is where Ive seen one of my ISO pages. When the alternate Invincibles were introduced, there's a page with 16 different Invincibles, which I got. It's the unused version that I want. So sweet.

  2. so, the tease for 118 had everyone all happy lovey family flying around on the cover. i know how the books covers are often different than the content, but, if mark and fam do set up on another planet, when (you know it'll happen) they return to earth at some point, will anissa have marks child by then? it'll probably be a boy. id have to think she was able to conceive a child when she banged marks brains out, even if it was only once. thats all it takes sometimes. we now know that thragg has a zillion kids, which will probably grow at an accelerated rate like oliver, but, where will anissas baby fit into this? hmmmmmmm.

  3. yeah, Invincible doesn't have the instant name recognition

Who were the Guardians of the Galaxy 18 months ago?

If it's awesome, people will come.

Couldn't agree more. Just like GOTG, there's gonna be a risk involved, but, I think it'd have a similar outcome. Because GOTG was so successful, Marvel is capitalizing with their future phases. I would absolutely love to see Kirkman utilize the whole Invincible universe in this fashion. So much potential.

  4. id think the kind of cartoon that invincible would be, could work on FX or even AMC. i suppose that one of the premium networks (HBO, SHO, etc) would work also.

Do you really think an R Rated Invincible could do well on the big screen?

ultra violence. hell yes. a guy can dream, can't he?

while a depiction of violence can garner a PG rating, anything with intense and persistent violence will draw an R rating. not sure where the MPAA stands on PG-13 violence. the kid playing Barry Allen on The Flash should've been Invincible.

  5. A live action Invincible isn't feasible. They would need Marvel money to spend on cgi .

An animated version would likely be easier to do but it could only be aired on Cartoon Network late at night. Hell, it'd probably better off in Japan as an anime and then coming back to the States. A series like this has the potentiometer to be the American Dragon Ball Z.

aw man, i hope not. cannot stand anime. why would it have to be on Cartoon Network? i guess id be ok with an animated series, but, id prefer live action. if it was a series of films, say a trilogy, the budget would be a lot more, especially if you got another production company to help out Skybound. Dreamworks and Universal have that kind of money and as far as i know, aren't tied into the Marvel/DC universes.
