  1. Yes, these books were bound in 1940-41 (and bound very well with minimal damage unlike many bound books). The work Susan had to do was minimal by most standards. Yes, the three edges were trimmed, but right at the beginning and have near-a-century of patina on them. Plus, since they were bound that first year, they were well protected for 85 years. Opening these books are what it is like looking at a Mile High book (in my HUMBLE opinion...I've had a few)
  2. Yep. I hope that is the best testament I can give to the visceral quality of the restored books. They.Are.That.Good.
  3. #6 - Former Restored (Moderate) CGC 8.5 - $950 SOLD TO COMIDEY -- Formerly from a bound volume, fully restored by the renowned Susan Cicconi at Restoration Lab. Fantastic copy, you'll never see another one this nice for so cheap. The colors on this cover must be seen to be believed. Deeeep purple and reds, hard to find on this issue. (Hard to find issue at that) Absolutely newstand fresh. It's clear that this book was protected since the month it was printed. Comes with label. SCARCE BOOK. Take a minute and try to imagine what the price is for its unrestored counterpart....Better yet - look it up.
  4. Here' s my last UNRESTORED filler copy.....I think, like the #8 before it, one lucky buyer will have found their forever copy.... #7 - Former CGC 5.5 - $1500 - SOLD TO ENTALMIGHTY1 - Awesome spacecraft cover with dynamite color strike. One piece of old tape interior, tiny fleck of ink out mid right cover. Some indentations on cover. Glossy and lovely with a supple interior. SCARCE BOOK.
  5. Ok, here's an UNRESTORED book for you purists. Believe it or not, this was a filler copy until I found its restored counterpart.... #8 - FN+ - $1450 - SOLD TO GOLDEN44TIGER -Ooooh, this one hurts so good. Classic woman-in-distress cover. Electric blue & yellow color strike. Middle two wraps detached, top staple pop. Otherwise a lovely and glossy copy of a very hard to find book. Unrestored. SCARCE BOOK.
  6. #9 - Former Restored (Moderate) GRADED 9.0 - $850 - SOLD TO COMIDEY -This was the one that changed my mind about restored books. Since I would never own an unrestored copy that looks this nice, I took a chance and bought it. I'm glad I did. It's just so gorgeous. Once I learned there were others JUST LIKE IT, I nearly lost my mind (as Rick) Anyway, as before, it is from a formerly from a bound volume, fully restored by the renowned Susan Cicconi at Restoration Lab. Fantastic copy, you'll never see another one this nice for so cheap. The colors on this cover must be seen to be believed. Absolutely newstand fresh. It's clear that this book was protected since the month it was printed. Comes with label, picture upon request. SCARCE BOOK. Label picture available upon request, included in sale. **Sorry about these pictures, they do not do this book justice....
  7. #10 - Former Restored (Moderate) GRADED 8.5 - $850 SOLD TO COMIDEY -- Formerly from a bound volume, fully restored by the renowned Susan Cicconi at Restoration Lab. Fantastic copy, you'll never see another one this nice for so cheap. The blacks are inky and oranges electric. Newstand fresh. It's clear that this book was protected since the month it was printed. Comes with label. SCARCE BOOK. Take a minute and try to imagine what the price is for its unrestored counterpart....Better yet - look it up. Label picture available upon request, included in sale.
  8. Yes, all the restored books are trimmed on 3 sides. It's old trimming though, and doesn't look fresh (a good thing)
  9. #11 - VG+ - $850 - SOLD TO COMIDEY -This book presents like a VF+. Glossy and flat with great PQ. Cover is nearly fully split, but is still attached by staples.
  10. #12 - Former Restored (Moderate) GRADED 9.0 - $900 SOLD TO COMIDEY - Formerly from a bound volume, fully restored by the renowned Susan Cicconi at Restoration Lab. Fantastic copy, you'll never see another one this nice for so cheap. The blues and golds on this cover are unreal. (I can't stress that enough) Newstand fresh. It's clear that this book was protected since the month it was printed. Comes with label, picture available upon request.
  11. Ok, I bet some of you where hoping for a #13, #14 & #15 next......I'm sad to say I never acquired those issues. (well, I did had a 13, but it flew the coup a while back) Don't worry though, the last 12 books will not disappoint - especially for the discerning Planet completionist on a budget.
  12. #16 - FN - $700 SOLD TO GOLDEN44TIGER- Real looker here, classic girl-in-distress-by-mohawked-hipster cover. Glossy book with some interior cover edge tanning. Staples pulling, top holding by back cover, small edge tear to front cover, nice PQ inside, nice greens!
  13. Then you'll love what's coming. Just gets better from here man....
  14. #18 - FN - $1350 SOLD TO COMICDEY Hands-down best GGA Bondage Planet Cover IMO. VERY hard to find in grade. Seriously. Took me years and umpteen undercopies. This copy is presents very much like a VF, but is kept relatively affordable because of a little damage lrhc of cover including tiny corner stain that goes in 2 pages, minuscule edge wear upper back cover, and small hold near spine on middle of back cover, tiny edge tear front cover. Name signed in ink, inside front cover (no trace of it front front) Excellent page quality, glossy cover, flat and solid book. Fantastic blues on this cover, very rich.
  15. #19 - Conserved 5.0 - $400 SOLD TO FASTEDDIE : This is a tough one grade. Iconic Spiderweb/GGA Cover that presents like a VF- easy. Glossy, Flat, superb DEEP color, and great PQ. The catch: Someone cleanly cut off the back cover near the spine. It survived with the book somehow, and was reattached with archival tape. It's a very neat repair, and not easy to spot at first glance. Also detached CF. Anyway, good luck finding this a #19 that presents this well, for this price. The definition of no-brainer folks.
  16. #22 - VF - $1250 SOLD TO SUPERGROVER - Freaking awesome book here. Glossy and flat with inky blacks. Fantastic color strike on cover. Only bugaboo is a piece out back upper spine from a bump. Looks like it also affects the two immediate pages. It's insane how well this book presents. Again, you'll not likely see better.
  17. This book has become available again, (mistaken take it), so let's start off the last night with a gorgeous issue you don't see very often: #29 - VF - $1150 - NOW $950 SOLD TO RAYZEN - This book is one of the crowning jewels of my collection. Just about perfect in every way, save the staple pull/tear visible on front cover. Color saturation is the best I've seen for this issue. She's not cheap, but you won't see another like her.
  18. COMING UP TONIGHT @ 7PM.... 17 more books.... #'s 22 - 1 (and #29 is back!!)
  19. That's it for tonight folks! Thank you all so much for the pickups. Tomorrow night starts big with an exceptional #22, and will go strong until #1.
  20. #23 - Former CGC 7.0 - $975 - SOLD TO CHANGER - Bar-None the nicest copy of this issue I've ever found. The only thing I can think that kept it from grading higher is a 3" edge tear on Page 31 (CF). This book is killer. You'll find none better.
  21. #25 - Former CGC 4.5 - $300 - SOLD TO GOLDLUST - Absolutely stellar looking issue with the best red's I've seen in a #25 (or any FH for that matter, they were stingy with their ink). Single staple has been reinforced, some light creasing interior. Who cares? Look at that cover!
