  1. Smash Comics #6 - Jan 1940 - GD - $75 This is a cool one folks. Published Jan 1st, 1940. Interesting male-bondage cover with intense color strike (deeeeep blues and reds). Book has lots of tape both interior and exterior (full spine). Cover is detached, but still attached to interior, by magic I assume. Book is complete, but 1st wrap has a large chunk torn from the middle affecting stories on the 1st and last pages. Book has been pressed so is flat and glossy. Mary Jane sig back cover (not relevant, just cool) Very readable. Snag a cool piece of comic history cheap! **Apparently the new site compress the images to apparently make them look terrible. Full-res scan upon request....
  2. Fight Comics #48 VG/FN $90 Another great book with Baker and Renee art. This one's only issues are a small hole upper spine, a small piece missing back, and tape back cover (interior/exterior). Solid flat issue otherwise with white/off-white pages. Solid centerfold. *Sorry for the image quality, uploading here on the boards compresses the image. The book looks better in-hand.
  3. Don Fortune Magazine #5 FN+ $55 I really love this cover. It's so happy. Anyway, the only real flaw I can find is one of teh interior pages is ripped half-way and repaired with tape. Mabe a little light creasing here an there. Otherwise another solid book made out of Post-war paper (heavy stock, sturdy) *Sorry for the image quality, uploading here on the boards compresses the image. The book looks better in-hand.
  4. Fight Comics #39 FR/GD $75Ready to own a classic cover at a dirt-cheap price? Here you go, the "Smoking Gun GGA" classic. Lilly Renee art, this book is a must. Why so cheap? This issue has water damage and is brittle. Spine is half-split and all pages are separate, split at the spine. Despite that, you can read this book but it's best left as a Mylar Queen. Still, it is complete and has a pretty decent cover strike for this issue, so you really can't go wrong. *Sorry for the image quality, uploading here on the boards compresses the image. The book looks better in-hand.
  5. Jungle Comics #3 VG/FN (Apparent) $350 What we've got here and an excellent-presenting issue of a Iger classic cover. This book has two pieces of tape interior (sealing edge tears), also missing 1/3 of the right centerfold page (torn), affects story. 1/2" lower spine split, popped lower staple. Despite this, the book is flat, glossy, and color saturated. Interior PQ is excellent! *Sorry for the image quality, uploading here on the boards compresses the image. The book looks better in-hand.

  9. It's great to see everyone's lists! It's fun to see what we all agree on, but which ones are particular you your own tastes. Keep posting your numbers and I'll keep putting them up. Once it seems like we are all done, I'll post a "master" Top Ten of the most common choices. (oh, if you want to change one, post what you want to add, and the one you want to remove) I might be doing that soon.... I'll update the post above as-needed and will bump it down once it get's buried.
  10. No worries! I'm sure you have a complete opinion collection, so let's hear it! I'll give it pictures!
  11. What are, to you, the top 10 Classic Covers? Other folks should chime in on this. I will aggregate the results.
  12. This is hilarious. I figured this would happen! The are ALL so good. Ok, Let's try this another way. Which ones are the hardest to find? I don't mean hardest for you to find (because certainly #71 & #72 were tough for me, now they are popping up everywhere) I'm thinking more traditionally HTF. #15 for sure, but I would also put #2, #5, #6, #14, #28, & #34 in to the ring. Also, what is your vote for the top 10 Planet covers in-terms of "classicness"? They should be ones that everyone drools over, are the most sought after because of the cover, and could be conisder iconic of the brand. Here are my votes: (in numerical order, not preference) JEREMY'S TOP 10 CLASSIC PLANET COVERS:
  13. One of my all-time favorite Jungle-themed Jumbos... love those greens! Viscardi's women really stand out from all the other artist's styles. Understated and elegant.
  14. Thanks Man! I must admit it's pretty awesome seeing this book lined up with the others. I've got things arranged so this is the first thing I see when I visit my comics...
  15. Hey Friends, I'm pretty excited about this next book. Those who know me best realize how important of a book this is for my Planet collection. Not-only is it an upgrade for my recently-posted Planet #1 (happily now Rick's), it is THE SPECIFIC COPY of this book I've been looking for over a year for. The 1st of twelve high-grade Planets from a bound volume, brilliantly-restored by Susan Cicconi. This book is killer to hold in-hand. PQ is amazing and the cover colors, inside and out, are among the best I've seen. Now just 7, 8, & 11! This one is a former 8.5....
  16. One book left folks, the All Top 14. The price is worth the Phantom Lady story alone...and don't forget this is a SOTI book...
