  1. Hey Matt,

Here's the next installment of Marvel Team-Ups.  I went through issues 31-50 plus the annuals.

    Marvel Team-Up annual 6          48        $110/Oct 2017

Thanks for taking a look at these, Matt!  I appreciate anything you can do with these registry points.

  2. I'll do my best to use my better judgement. LOL  I went through all of the books that you adjusted and didn't have any complaints whatsoever.  I appreciate what you do!

I'll only list books that are selling for at least twice the point value that they're listed at in 9.8.  GPA is my source. So without further ado...

    Title/issue                      9.8 registry pts    Avg/last sale

    Marvel Team-Up 11           120                   $432/Jul 2018

    Marvel Team-Up 15           180                   $370/Mar 2020

    Marvel Team-Up 16           120                   $227/Feb 2017 (I know it's not doubled but there are only 3 9.8s in existence out of 68 total graded: 4.41%)

    Marvel Team-Up 17           120                   $250/Jan 2010 (Last sale was a decade ago, I know)

    Marvel Team-Up 18           120                   $260/Sep 2018

    Marvel Team-Up 21            75                    $326/Aug 2015 (Too stale?)

    Marvel Team-Up 22            75                    $125/Dec 2013 (Only one 9.8 exists out of 28 total graded: 3.57%)

    Marvel Team-Up 23            75                    $248/Nov 2019

    Marvel Team-Up 25            75                    $360/Aug 2019

    Marvel Team-Up 26            75                    $151/Feb 2020

    Marvel Team-Up 27            75                    $275/Jun 2018

    Marvel Team-Up 28            75                    $225/Feb 2011 (Western Penn pedigree) Only two 9.8 exist out of 31 total graded: 6.45%

    Marvel Team-Up 30            75                    $360/Nov 2017 (Only one 9.8 exists out of 22 total graded: 4.76%)

I'll stop at issue 30 and pick up after you had a chance to look over these.

Since I was putting down percentages, I'd like to revisit Marvel Team-Up 1 where there are a mere three 9.8's that exist out of 994 graded.  That's a staggering 0.30% success rate!

Thanks for any and all considerations

    Scores Updated. Thank you

  3. Hey Matt,

Could you please review the below Marvel Team-Ups.  I have omitted issues 12&13 and annuals 2&7 as they appeared to be pretty spot on.

  4. Thanks, Matt!  I plan on going through all 157 books, ten at a time so I don't overwhelm the system.  Plus, I enjoy doing the research. All of the latter ones are 32-40 points for 9.8s.  They usually don't go for less than $75 each, but I'll get to those in due time.

    Thanks again!

    Hello @Robert Doggett

I am happy to review the books that are grossly under valued. Please note that I did not change the point values for all books in your initial post as some were scored correctly or lacked recent/multiple sale data.

Please try your best to limit your requests to those that meet the criteria stated above if possible. Thank you!

  5. Hey Matt, I believe I know what you need to adjust scores so I'm going to list some Marvel Team-Ups (1972)

    Title/issue #                  9.8 points         90 day avg/ last sale        Notes

    Marvel Team-Up 1           1400                  $5000/Apr 2008              Three 9.8's in existence

    Marvel Team-Up 2            440                   $725/Oct 2018

    Marvel Team-Up 3            520                   $655/Jan 2019

    Marvel Team-Up 4            520                   $913/Sep 2019

Marvel Team-Up 5            190                  $263/Feb 2017                  I don't have an explanation for the lucky sap who got this book for $35 so this one might be OK.

    Marvel Team-Up 6            190                  $405/Apr 2018

    Marvel Team-Up 7            190                  $319/2018 average           Two sales in 2018

    Marvel Team-Up 8            190                  $273/Oct 2019

    Marvel Team-Up 9            190                  $385/Jun 2018

    Marvel Team-Up 10          190                  $450/Jun 2011                   Three 9.8's in existence.

This list doesn't have drastic changes with the exception of issue 1 but I feel they're all a little lower than they should be.

Thanks for any love you can give this list!

Some of the scores have been slightly increased but not all of them. Please note that some of the books are lacking recent sales so we are not able to make changes.

  6. Thanks, Randall!  I looked there but $75 for 5 boxes seems pretty steep in my opinion.  If they're already in Mylite bags and acid free boards, what's the purpose of the box being acid free?  I realize it's another layer of protection, but I can't justify it.  I live close enough to Gerber to pick up from their shop and often do.  I love their product!  Many thanks for the suggestion!

  7. Howdy, y'all!

I have a lot of silver age books that I went out and bought mylar bags and acid free boards for but when I go to put them in the generic comic boxes, they're just a smidgeon too big or the box is too small, however you want to look at it.  Does anyone know if they even make/sell a slightly larger box to accommodate gold and silver age books?  I have 200 bags and boards to start but would rather have them safely in a box rather than stacked in a pile in the corner of my office.  Any info would be appreciated.

  8. Took a risk and bought a book from someone I didn’t know online.  Wasonff reached out to me in response to a WTB post I created for early MTUs.  He had a Marvel Team-Up 2 CGC 9.8 white pages (White Mountain Pedigree) that he scanned and sent it over to me and we talked about prices and by the end of the day, we made a deal on the book.  The best part of the negotiations was that neither one of us was trying to rob the other.  We were both in the same ball park price-wise.  This is someone I wouldn't hesitate to do business with again!  Many thanks!!

Now I’m impressed, a 9.9 that passed through Desert Wind’s hands is pretty unbelievable.

Agreed!  I’m sure you must be mistaken about Desert Wind!  If it’s true, then you have a better chance at winning the lottery! 😂

  11. What's the best bag for CGC cases?  I like Mylar but don't like the stiffness of the bags.  I know they're the best quality and you don't have to change them...ever.  But if not mylar, what's the next best thing?

Also, since CGC has changed their cases, I heard that the regular bag that fit snugly no longer holds the newer cases.  What have people used for those newer cases for protection?  Any and all thoughts are appreciated.  Thanks!!

  12. To add to marvel maniac's post, it doesn't even have to be a character.  Issue 3 has the FF in uniform for the first time and the Fantasicar makes its grand entrance.  Infinity gauntlet and stone's first appearances have made those books pricier as well just to name a couple of examples.

  14. Got a real nice book from Mike!! Great price and well packaged!! Blazing fast, too!! How dare you set such high standards!! Haha!

Great book, Mike! Sorry I didn't respond as soon as I got it, but it was in my evil brother's hands AKA the Procrastination Man!! He eventually opened it up and said the book looked amazing!

    Many, many thanks!!
