  1. I don't believe that for one second. If I am sending them a CBCS book to crossover it is out of the holder already. There is a "underlying assumption" that the book is over graded if it is still in the CBCS holder.
  2. Not exactly the attitude you want to take on here. Here is some advice you may chose to use or ignore. While one person posts on these boards there are 10 that just read. If you want any future threads ignored keep going down the path you are going.
  3. I'm pretty sure that it is $20K in Payments received.
  4. Clearly you are missing the big picture here. Time is of the essence for buyers on the boards. For those not following the rules here is what I think they are (I am joking but part of me thinks that some of these are brought into a negotiation) Some of these are absolutely brought into a sales negotiation on ebay. 1). GPA last sale pricing up to 20% over last sale is allowable. 2). Because this is a Zero cost platform whereby no seller fee is collected or sales tax you should price 10% below GPA since you are not entitled to keep that additional cost saving. Oh and if the State sales tax authority catches you blame the seller. 3). Because this is a zero cost platform to the seller discounts should be encouraged even though you are listing 10% below last GPA. 4). Because the seller might be selling to buy more books and probably not declaring any of this income on their tax return the seller should discount even more. 5). Paypal payments should be friends and family because god forbid a company that gets you the money quickly should profit off your sale. 6). If paypal friends and family is not used seller should eat that cost because god forbid a buyer eat that cost of convenience. 7). Postage should be free, again, why should the buyer pay for this. 8). Canadian declarations should be low since we don't like to pay duty our government levies and oh if the seller gets fined too bad for them. If I missed something please update the list.
  5. I'm waiting for the Thread approval board to oversee what threads are allowed to be posted and which ones aren't.
  6. You seem to feel that 20% over the last sale is too high? Is 10%? 5% over last sale or does the last GPA command the price the seller must list at? Nothing can trend up, must stay the same or as I've said before it goes the toilet bowl swirl down in pricing since 10% off means the next one should sell for 10% less then the one before it.
  7. Not sure how 10% off is losing since that is normally what I discount most slabs, I would consider that a "push" in casino terms.
  8. Because if I buy it on Ebay I'll have to pay sales tax if I live in a state that has it
  9. Unless you are a Certified grading expert I would recommend a PM. And try to avoid the "Grading is subjective" as a way to warm them up.
  10. In defense of the original poster he did disclose that this isn't really about the hard to find or tough book.
  11. So in your profile you set the "Not a haggler" option so that sellers know what price shows up when you browse the listing?
  12. Things should be priced at least 10% less then Ebay, Why? Do Sellers have to discount the book if they are doing that? I find that buyers seem to want to dictate what I can and cannot charge for my book as well as my profit margin. They want the cash discount, they don't want to pay the paypal fee I incur, they want free shipping etc.
  13. We have a finished shirt design. Will share when we have them made up.
  14. Robert Bell and many other sellers back in the 70's required the Self Addressed stamp envelope. Anything you bought required "alternates" in case something wasn't in stock. I loved getting the catalogs in the mail but after discovering Phil Seuling shows and the monthly publication that I can't seem to remember with pages and pages of books for sale I kind of stopped wasting my stamps.
