  1. I know I'm late to the party, but I just started watching season 1 on Netflix and I'm hooked. Anyone know where I can see season 2 without having to wait for reruns?

Same with me about half way through season 1, I'm really liking this show a lot, very well done, I also need to get my hands on season two

  2. Any idea around what time the book first showed up for sale? I saw it sometime during the evening before someone placed a $1200 bid. So was this book available at the time the $1200 bid was put in?

Yes it was, somebody put a 1200 bid on it,I couldn't believe my eyes and had to triple check and then hit the buy it now, luckily before everybody else, however, like I said on comiclink the seller has to accept your bid and that still has not happened, so we will see?

  3. just heard the books shipped out friday registered mail, should get them by the end of the week?, on the phone they said they are both 9.6's :), going to be tough keeping these if the prices keep going crazy, will post them when i get them

  4. Being that its a very low print run of 2,000 & having a bit tie in history with TMNT this book will forever be in high demand ! plus there is no reprint of this book. So that's why many collectors pay high amounts of money to get one ! Looking forward on seeing these two beauties soon (thumbs u

I see the tmnt angle, that makes sense, yes I'll take a picture not sure if I'm going to sell one or both but will still show when I get them back

If you get the chance, read the collected editions and you will get a feel for why Usagi Yojimbo has such a loyal fan base. Especially the early work where Sakai utilized anthropomorphic characters to tell the stories of feudal Japan. I always felt it was a better way to convey the events of Japanese history without having to go overboard with the brutal details of the Samurai.

Libraries will have the books in the youth section, as I first checked out the collected works when living in Colorado. Then wanting to read them again last year, I found the collected works in my local Virginia library. The ones in Colorado noted the Parent's Choice Award being issued for the history and method of storytelling.

i'm a fan, however, something has changed recently as the book's prices have been spiking up, a cgc 8.5 went for 1200? a raw book listed as nm/mt that looked like a vf raw for over 1200, the character has not changed in the past few months but the market is repricing his books?

  6. How long is it protocol to wait for someone to return your money after buying some books and then returning them? It's only been 3 days, but I did pay instantly and I did return the books and the seller received them within 3 days of me contacting him about the books? Tia

  7. But my brain can wrap itself around the AF 15 prices a little bit more easily given that it's the first appearance of Marvel's all time biggest superhero. Bats 1 is definitely a pricey book considering that it's basically only the first appearance of a couple of villains. Even if one of them is the Joker.

This subject has come up before. I have a few thoughts on it.

While rarity no doubt can play a factor in driving up the prices of certain GA books, a book does not need to be incredibly rare by GA standards to maintain an extremely high value, with the potential to trend upwards.

Lets compare Batman #1 to Action #7 for instance.

Both are incredibly desirable, but Action #7 is considerably more rare. Content for content, there is no competition:

    Batman #1

    1st app. of the Joker.

    1st app. of Catwoman.

    2nd app. of the Joker.

    2nd app. of Hugo Strange.

    3rd app. of Robin.

    Last Pre-Robin Tec story.

    Action Comics #7

    7th app. of Superman.

    Circus story.

One book's content was used as reference material by Christopher Nolan for one of the most successful films in the history of modern cinema, the latter sports a really cool cover.

Adding my .02. I think the Joker is DC's third biggest character behind Supes and Bats.

I find this to be my stance on the Jokester as well

As a newbie, I feel the same way, I would buy the batman 1 to have the first appearance of the joker ( I don't have one of these but will join this club one day)

  8. Gator, as you and every one else knows, there is a captain America 1 cgc 1.8 on ebay, this book seems relatively reasonable priced, is that because of the cover staining? How much does this knock the book down in your opinion or others? At least It doesn't have brittle pages, thx you
