  1. I don't think you have enough copies there.
  2. So sad but if that means a butt-kicking title...
  3. How does CGC treat the issue of a comic owner's name written in pen on the interior first page of a comic who is not anyone noteworthy? Will the label state that the name is written inside in pen? Thanks!
  4. Classic. i still think you could have made money on that if you didn't overpay just looking at my old sales and criminey, this thanos spike in prices has been going on for almost a year! I just got $130+ for a g/vgish copy. good golly, why didn't i buy a palette of these when it was a $10 book in that condition!?!?! even then it sort of made sense to do so. You could redeem your mistake by buying up copies of Avengers 55.
  5. Oh my word, Nova 1 CGC 9.4 sold for $199 BIN. http://www.ebay.com/itm/281075178542?ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1561.l2649
  6. Definitely prefer an ongoing. Not a fan of minis of any length. If its a good book, why should it ever end? Where would Spider-man be if that were a mini? Where would Iron Man be? Bottom line is that a character stands a chance at reaching iconic status only if the title bearing its name is a long lasting, continuous series.
  7. Saw this post yesterday and had never purchased anything from this seller before, so I had nothing to say, but a couple of ended auctions were shockers. Any of these auctions smell of shilling? Something doesn't look right when a *raw* Avengers 57 estimated to be NM exceeds the price of a CGC graded copy (a CGC 9.4 just last week went for $930 on ebay; a comiclink CGC SS 9.4 went for less than $800 recently). And a raw Ms. Marvel 1 estimated at NM+ goes for $130? Just wondering aloud here... http://www.ebay.com/itm/151000081477?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 http://www.ebay.com/itm/150990157696?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  8. ONGOING!! So happy to know there will be many more Todd stories coming our way! Congrats Ken and to the rest of your team on your excellent work. Here's to a long and prosperous run!
  9. Say wha?? http://www.ebay.com/itm/150990157696?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  10. This is a joke right? http://www.ebay.com/itm/HOUSE-OF-SECRETS-92-CGC-6-0-FINE-BRONZE-KEY-1ST-SWAMP-THING-NO-RESERVE-/330874878546?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item4d09adfa52
  11. Yes, they were! Midtown Comics' copies practically all had spine creases. Some worse than others. It was impossible to find one without problems. All my copies are 9.4s.
  12. Not sure if this is news but Midtown's brick and mortar stores are limiting issue 2 to 1 copy per customer. Any remaining stock of issue 1 appears to have sold out--and there were about 100 copies at the Times Sq location just last week.
  13. All I can say is that I loved the first issue. Anyone who politicizes this book and tries to draw comparisons to Sandy Hook has got their head up their butt.
  14. Would honestly love to see this become ongoing. I didn't think much of it until a good friend of mine raved about it and I picked it up and started to read it. Such a fun book! Ken, what's your inspiration behind the characters in this title? And why put a paperbag over Todd's head? What do you envision Todd to look like underneath the bag?
  15. Lightning fast shipping, Armageddon-proof packaging, great price, beautiful book. Totally pleasant to deal with and communicates well. You won't find too many sellers out there better than Rupp. Thanks again!
  16. Read it tonight and loved it. Awesome, off-beat characters throughout the book. Looking fwd to issue 2.
  17. What's going on here? A bit surprising. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOVA-1-1976-CGC-9-0-Autographed-Origin-Issue-1st-App-NOVA-No-Reserve-/360573610716?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item53f3dcaadc A Nova 1 CGC SS 9.2 with Stan Lee's sig went for $125ish the other week. Not sure what the deal is here...
  18. Love the cover of issue 3 and the reprint of 2.
  19. That's what looked like happened at Midtown Comics also. The week of its release, I literally saw one copy at the Downtown location, which I didn't pick up. I went to the Times Sq location later that day and no one even knew what I was talking about. Then last week, I saw one copy at the Grand Central and snapped it up; later that same day, I saw another two in the Downtown location and snapped those up.
  20. Stats for it don't come out till Feb but based on how hard it was to find, I'm going to go out on a limb and say fewer than 1000 copies.
  21. Has anyone noticed the price jumps on hero for hire 1? I believe 9.0 recently sold for $390 a few weeks ago, after sales for a few 9.0s in November/December ended at $200, and in the $250s to 260s. A comiclink auction for a 7.5 ended at $140 something this week. Speculators are driving up the price of ths one.
  22. Heatin up like a mofo! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Django-Unchained-Comic-Sold-Out-1st-Issue-1-/111002865285?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item19d8494e85
  23. If you catch it at the right time, you can snap up a 9.8 on the bay for under $150, 160. Such an underrated book...
