This whole series is a freaking white whale for me!!!!! I'm so damn sick of unsuccessfully trying to order decent copies. So I ordered a couple of copies of A1 #1 about a month ago from Scott's. Well according to Scott, they were vastly under priced (not my issue) and scooped up... Yetttttt I was still allowed to add them to my cart and check out. So my order was cancelled. I found out last night after checking the mail and finally looking back at my Paypal.

So then I bought a first of #2 from a boardie. It showed up with that freaking fold wrinkle on the spine. I paid twice what I paid for #1.

I passed on it when it first came out and unless I fork out a freakish amount, I'm just going to read and envy.

(Though I do have a Though Bubble coming that I got for a great price assuming the pictures were accurate - though at this point I'm going to assume a fat mountain gorilla has used it as a mating rag - thus again I'll have over paid for garbage.)

I will say, I'm not a fan of 7 but I really like 2. I'm all for the variant if it offers something different (and isn't $15 - cause that's just asinine.)

I appreciate the differences, I'm just amazed there is such a vast gap - to that end, I wonder how PGX even competes? Hyper inflated grading at a lower price point I suppose.

You guys have to realize that sure it's about timing! Star Wars kicked off the epic SCI FI fantasy movie genre! The new movies didn't hold up to today's standards of story telling, acting, imaginary animal skateboarding. The magic wasn't there for the fans like it was for the old guys (me) because they're inundated with history, and better scripts.

I like Saga because the -script, dialogue, characters are fresh for me. Sure it's a sci FI fantasy epic, but its done well... And there is a giant spider woman with disgusting eyes and a perky chest. What more do you need? I haven't been this aroused/disgusted since RTOTJ when Leigh choked out Jabba....

I was thinking yellow but you're right - which is strange isn't it? Seems to devalue a great book. It didn't hit me.

Lastly, the final bidder looks to have pulled, out so final was only $155. Wonder if they are a boardie?

The black guy who played the Govt Assasin - who's name escapes me, would be a PERFECT Black Panther if the movie, as suggested is a go for 2016.

Just so you al know my secret:

I preorder 20-30 but when I get them I put them threw my paper shredder then mix the shreds with others like what is left of my NWM and Saga, but also with my AMS 700s - it's called diversifying people.

I'll then luxuriate in the shreds nekkid. I advertise myself off as a 17 yr old japanese school girl and sell the lions share by the oz to Chinese business men - again, off shoring to further diversify in emerging markets (China, not Japan, duh)

What's left goes to a novelty companies to make those recycled grape scented pencils. Wha I'm saying is, I love grape. It's all about the Benjermans kids. Respect.

LCS had Nowhere Men #3 at $5 a pop the day it came out.

 

I still bought it though, cheaper than driving somewhere else or Ebay.
