  1. Thanks everyone.
  2. I am 68 years old and in poor health. I am asking for advice as to what to do with my comics (mainly Cherry Poptart). I have the second best DC 100 page collection in the registry. I plan to pass that along to my son. On the other hand, I have the best Cherry Poptart collection in the world, bar none. The registry shows I am number 1, but it does not even scratch the surface of what I have. Howard sent me several special items before his passing, including original art. I have a large collection of Cherry Mini's. I have a lot of high grade raw copies, and many other special items. Should I sell all of this stuff individually, or is there actually a person that exists that may pay for it all for what I feel it is actually worth?
  3. Drama queen here, back from the dead, as anticipated. I am not intimate with Blackstone, but I certainly know Apollo Global inside and out (Leon Black - some trivia - Leon purchased Edvard Munch's "The Scream" in 2012 for 119.9 Million $). These two private equities are actually twins. Best of luck to the excellent comic book dealers/collectors here who have no clue as to how private equities function. Nothing is predictable.
  4. It's been 8 years since I have gone a day without alcohol.
  5. My favorite Strange Adventures
  6. He's on the hook big time for criminal and civil liability. Forget about criminal penalties, the restitution for his buyers that he defrauded by inflating the bidding will be, as they say in Kill Bill, gargantuan. And IMO, he doesn't have the to realize what penalties await. He'll continue undeterred. Until the knock comes on his door at 5AM. Then, instantly, he'll figure it all out. Don't get me wrong; You and SledgeHammer have done a great job on this guy. Unfortunately, from my experience, these types of crimes don't usually get the results they deserve. The 5 AM "knock on the door" simply won't happen. Justice is rarely served in the manner we expect for white collar crimes.
  7. So this thread has gone completely off track and beatlebluecat currently has 126 items listed.
  8. Tired of Cherry yet?
  9. You're single and have no interest in romance because online porn is so much easier.
  10. There is a reason I feel about asparagus the way I do. Thank you for confirming my opinion.
  11. Oak, you could not be more right.
  12. So two wrongs make a right?
  13. Some jackwagon from the boards posted on his wife's Facebook page yesterday. Asked her about the comic and gave her a link to this thread. I do not agree with this at all.
  14. Hall of Shame? OK, but realistically Shoo should be permanently banned by CGC for this.
  15. Correct. You would actually have to video the delivery and have the delivery person hang out while you open the package. Chain of custody.
  16. Mail fraud and wire fraud are federal crimes in the United States that involve mailing or electronically transmitting something associated with fraud. Jurisdiction is claimed by the federal government if the illegal activity crosses interstate or international borders. There are two elements in mail fraud: (1) having devised or intending to devise a scheme to defraud (or to perform specified fraudulent acts), and (2) use of the mail for the purpose of executing, or attempting to execute, the scheme (or specified fraudulent acts). Mail fraud carries a sentence of up to five years in prison and/or fines of up to $250,000.
  17. The shoe thread was started only because this one was locked at the time.
  18. I imagine the authorities are going to ask you why the weight of package you sent back is exactly one comic book lighter than the package you received.
  19. From $13,000 on, it was down to 3 bidders - 5236, 844, and 361. 5236 dropped out after $18,500. Seller 844 competed against 361 the rest of the way up. I hope everyone is right that 361 was a "throw away" account and not a serious bidder. It will be interesting to follow what happens in the near future.
