  1. Keep talking....I'm considering letting go of one of my 9.2s. You got my list...let me know what interests you...or if you would like, wait till they come in to see the grades. Any idea when the rest of them will arrive? You didn't see a MTU 53 or FF 211 at the store yesterday...did you? BTW- Would you be keeping the 108...or flipping it? I would be keeping it

  3. Disappointment?!? You realize this will most likely be the only time John Byrne will ever do signings for the Signatures Series, right? And here you are with 6 copies of X-Men #108. So let me know if you would like to trade me for one of your 'rejects'
  4. Screw u Alex! Boy, you're in a foul mood tonight. Did your inflatable Wonder Woman doll get a leak? Screw You "Bob"!

  6. I haven't scanned them all yet, but there are some on Ebay. Including the Next Men #21 that Byrne signed. Insert free plug here
  7. Hey Chris, Turns out this one was a red label 9.2
  8. Chris did pretty well, considering I almost walked out of the store with all his books...by accident of course.
  9. Alex, Cool, all my submits were after 1975 so they should all slide into the Modern tier then I think CGC's turnaround times for moderns have improved somewhat haven't they? I would expect sometime in late January/early February then - sound about right? And don't feel so bad about bending just one of my books - I specifically looked for all yours and hit them with my sledgehammer - instant 'pressing' Drew Drew, Right now they are on a 3-4 month turnaround. I'm still waiting from some books from San Diego (late July). Really??? Their website has moderns at about double their "estimated" turnaround times - about 40 days instead of 20. That would put these books back (assuming an early December received date) in late January/early February. Am I missing something??? Even allowing for some time off due to the Christmas holidays (even CGC graders should get some vacation ) that should be about right. Drew Their shipments are also contingent on how many books were submitted in the first place. It seems the more books submitted, the longer you have to wait. Just using my numbers, I submitted 24 books for San Diego (I have received 15 back), while I only did 7 for Chicago (received all of them back). And I did 3 for Toronto (got them all back too). While they might get back faster due to the holidays, and people not submitting as many, I still think you are looking at 3-4 months as there were around 125-130 total books submitted from Mid-Ohio. They most likely won't ship until they have all been graded to save on shipping.

I'm still waiting from some books from San Diego (late July). Wouldn't that be pushing a 5 month turnaround (and counting)? 4 months and counting right now for some of them. But to be fair I did get a good chunk from that show already. So, 3-4 is fairly accurate.

  12. Sounds good Peter! I think I asked this already but can't remember your answer - do the books go in the modern tier even if they're Signature Series? Just trying to get a feel for the turnaround times for these books. Did you bend my IF in half before getting it signed Look forward to getting the books back, appreciate it Drew Hey Drew, SS books are treated the same way date wise. If it is pre 1975 it would fall under Economy. Also, Peter didn't bend your IF. I did though. Uhh, sorry about that. Was that the book you were using to try and hammer a tack into the wall at the store last week? It was one of them. They were pretty useless to hammer the tacks in really far, so I had to use several of Drew's books. Right right And you used the rest to change your daughter! Yup!

  16. Sorry, haven't had my caffene yet today.
  17. I want to know if he was yanking our collective chain, or if he got some books signed, or anything.
  18. I'm almost tempted to phone his cel # and wake his out of bed.
  19. Boy, he's really got you slaving. You should see the whip marks. Ahh, but it is worth it, as I get to insult Doug every time I am in.
  20. I put this one in. Hopefully a 9.6 for this one.
  21. Should be about 3 months. Alex, will you be organizing Paradise's incoming CGC books or is that still Pete's responsibility? Yup that's me. I just did 6 boxes on Thursday.
  22. I remember seeing some Sgt. Fury's that were signed by Ayers a year+ ago getting Purple labels - they all had some color touch on them I just got an Uncanny X-Men in the 30's back, signed by Roy Thomas...missing a page. I now have the lowest graded SS book. What can I say, [#@$%!!!] happens.
