Actually this post makes it pretty clear how you feel about ordering the exclusives before the negative variant was made available. You make it seem like Lockford owes you something. He doesn't. He didn't need to offer the exclusives to board members at all. He could have just as easily listed them on eBay (at higher prices too!) and easily sold out. He also didn't need to offer a board discount on top of the exclusive offer. Now I understand that you feel a bit shortchanged since the particulars changed but you are never guaranteed of owning the most exclusive/limited variant/edition when pre-ordering a book. Convention exclusives, RRPs, subsequent printings, mail or promo give-away copies, etc. all exist and can eventually make the rarest variant you pre-ordered no longer the rarest edition of that book. Your grievance should have been made via PM. Bringing it up publicly does nothing but encourage others to jump all over Lockford who went out of his way to do something for the board. thank you so much. means alot knowing not everyone want to burn conquest comics down...

I cannot disclose as Marvel informed me I should not have disclosed it to begin with on the originals...which I was unaware of. Sorry you are unhappy. I will also spend the next several hours tonight individually refunding those who placed orders today their 10%...

ok... we have been in business for 6 plus years...if that was directed at me. ...the 3rd variant does NOT in any way affect the previous edition sizes...not one bit. i had an opportunity to do this a few days ago....i liked how it looked, i did it. if that upsets you , im sorry...and i will gladly refund your order. once again, the 3rd variant has 0 bearing on the others. i am doing a limited quantity of them. you do not have to get it. i did them because i like them and i thought you guys would too....also the coupon code expired almost 2 weeks ago as was stated in several different threads and posts.

according to my guy at Marvel...I should have the Campbell art to show everyone by the end of the week for our exclusive variant of Amazing Spider-Man # 4...Black Cat cover? Campbell??? 1st appearance of Silk??? Purrrrrrrrre awesomeness......

Oh and I'm still figuring out costs. Won't know until its up.

Ok guys so I just want to give a formal heads up that my shop, Conquest Comics...will be doing an exclusive store variant for the Amazing Spider-Man #4. We are actually going to be doing 2 covers as of now. A regular color and a b&w. the artist is J Scott Campbell and the variant will feature good ol Black Cat. This issue is very significant as it is supposed to feature the first appearance of Silk whom Marvel is touting as a fairly big deal. These WILL sell out. I will be starting to take pre orders in the next day or so. I hope to have some rough art to show soon. I saw the concept and it looks fantastic. Just waiting on a little more finished version and the ok that I can show it before doing so. While its not our first exclusive ( we habe done a few Funko Pops ) This is our first variant cover comic our store has done so while its nerve wracking and costs a fortune, I'm confident in it. As of now the release date is July 16th...just in time for SDCC! I might have some there as well but not positive yet so if you are interested in getting them signed or sketched by campbell at con (I'm assuming he will be there as he usually is) then order. I will do my very best to make sure every copy is out within a day or two. Also I CANNOT guarantee 9.8's. I will do the very best in picking out excellent copies but I can only send what they send me. Current Edition sizes are 2500 and 1500. I look forward to servicing you guys and getting those interested something pretty awesome. And I think my rep John at Marvel and Campbell for this as well. Ill be creating a separate thread to let others who do t pop in this thread know. If you guys go on other boards a d such we would totally appreciate it if you let your friends there know as this is one of my favorite boards to visit but really one of the few I'm even remotely active in. Speaking of Spider-Man and Campbell...we will be doing an exclusive variant of ASM #4...by none other than Campbell...ill have more info as soon as I can. Hoping this week...just wanted to give a heads up as I think it'll be a pretty big deal with Silk and all...

I find like half of the the comic guys/shop guys that I've been to seem to have that chip on their shoulder/air of superiority. The other half is friendly and helpful. I agree! That's why when I opened my shop, we wanted it to def. have a different vibe. We have people that come and just hang and it's a very friendly feel. The shop isn't perfect but we feel by far that we are one of the more friendly and welcoming shops in the NJ area. When I moved to the NJ Shore, I found it difficult to find a decent LCS. Right now I drive a little over half an hour to go to one that's not a total -hole. What town are you in? My shop is in Bayville. Stop on in sometime if ya have not already.

Just got my rrp's back from ww philly. A 9.6 and a 9.8.

It's def. 1 per store. Only to those stores that attended the retailer summit.

Just a thought for those unhappy with the rrp existing...sometimes it's nice for the publishers to do these as a thank you to the retailers...
