  1. Is this a mini preview book? if so, can you show us what's inside, please?
  2. I don't understand " Sold for: US $650.00" but at top it said it ends. So sold or end ?
  3. http://www.ebay.com/itm/East-of-West-1-CGC-9-8-C2E2-RRP-Image-Comics-/121184134471?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&nma=true&si=BxWtyZzYuaXYAkA6Fo7PP1RQq%252B4%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc now it sold for $665. the price action is so strange on this RRP.
  4. How? If the seller just refunded him, what he is going to do?
  5. is this guy joseph0468 a broadie? let's ask around, maybe you should start a thread in comics general see anyone know him, so you can get in touch. is it long enough to open a case? I know you want to book more than refund. good luck http://www.ebay.com/itm/Five-Ghosts-1-5-CGC-9-9-CGC-SS-Frank-Barbiere-MINT-Three-9-9s-two-9-8s-/321217222692?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item4aca09d824 this is the sale you refer to, right?

  7. can someone please tell me what's the new way to check ebay best offer accepted price? the www.benl.ebay trick is not working no more.
  8. Big Dog Ink. But they do have URSA minor and Penny for your soul is pretty good. ZENESCOPE title is readable.
  9. 9.6 is not that bad if the book is HTF and you are tired to look for 9.8, I sent 9.6 to be graded before. if you only paied $2.99 for it. 9.6 is all good.
  10. But what about the time value of money? Is it really worth the effort if you're only making $5-10? Honestly, I recognize that I'm being curmudgeonly because I'm frustrated by the long turnaround times I face for books I actually want slabbed, while I see pre-sale auctions for 9.8 books that came out last Wednesday. In most cases, anyone has a good chance of picking up their own 9.8-worthy copy if they'd just go to the comic shop. I get that there's a premium attached to slabbed books, but come on, we've just seen that much of it is illusory after you factor the costs of slabbing. It's not a good thing to get $40 for a $10 comic if you had to spend $30 to get it. Just sell it raw and be done with it. Oh yeah, the intent was to try for a 10.0 and sell it for a zillion billion. So, someone honest think they will find 10.0 books after Diamond abuse, shipping damage, the lobster claw of LCS employee.
  11. I'm pretty sure there were 4 covers and I'm guessing that's the total of all 4. It is a tough comic to find. I only dug up two of the four. I got 5 total and of those, 3 were the Dancer which I thought was the best of the bunch. nice!!! All I want is the dancer cover, and I didn't want buy the set, or buy one you can't pick. now this will be real hard to find. 491 per cover.
  12. I can't believe it only sold for $560 with all that 9.9 in there. I was thinking snap it on last second. work got in the way and forgot. who is the lucky owner?
  13. 419 Mythopolis 1 $3.99 Ardden 1,963 they got 3 covers, does it mean total print run is 1963X3 or this is the total combined?
  14. I don't allow returns on slabs I sell on eBay. Not sure why I would. The risk is much greater of flaky buyers, returns with magazines in the box instead of the slab, people deciding they don't like the price they paid, etc. Here, I'll let people return within a reasonable time. But eBay is a different story. Plus, as someone said, would you expect auction houses to also allow returns? For that matter, I usually sell by BIN one eBay, but what about auctions? Allow returns there? I just don't get it. to be honest, they all might as well stop taking credit card or paypal payment on all their slab sales. as long as no disclose up front about the indentation, buyer decide open a case with paypal or credit card company, seller will never win, even with the no return policy in place. just think about the time and shipping cost lost in long term, in the end seller will have to decide is continuing submitting books worth the trouble or not.
  15. I never understand the rush to throw cash away. Sure, if the book/movie is rubbish - take what you can get - RIPD is the best example of that - I'm happy to get $10 tbh. The film stank. However with other Books, It has to be better to wait surely, and let the readership grow? Peter Panzerfaust, Saga and Revival are good examples, $400, $100 and $45 respectively. I'm more than happy to turn a $18 commitment (book + slabbing+ postage) into $45+ any day of the week. I have listed some EoW, but at my price, and if they don't sell, I'm in no rush. People are very canny to snap up these CGC issues for $18 while the glut is on. Next year you would hope after 12 issues, this should be a steady $40 - $50 book all day long. $18 to slab? super duper dealer discount? at non fast track, im at 14.40 plus $5 invoice and around $20 return shipping fedex. im looking at $20 per to break even, not even counting the price of the book. $18 even with return shipping to aus? Yup $14.40 pr. book for slabbing, $2.10 for the actual book (cover price $3.50 with a 40% discount), $0.15 for the invoice fee (on a 30 book sub) ... so on a 30 book invoice it's only costing you around $1.50/book to get it shipped from Australia to CGC and then back again to Australia? You are making assumptions. How I do things is mine to know. But it isn't like your scenario. Not even close. And that's all I have to say on this matter. :: The only thing that might change in the scenario above is the cost of the actual book - please don't pretend that you're somehow not paying the CGC fees I list above (and, yes, I realize you can save money by using a service within the US that buys the books here and submits them to CGC for you, but that still leaves getting them shipped back to Australia). what he trying to say is he is best at break even. and stop him. and stop asking questions.
  16. I don't see any reason to buy 2nd print, unless it's different cover that have awesome art. Then The Registry is not for you! you guys are doing it wrong
  17. I don't see any reason to buy 2nd print, unless it's different cover that have awesome art.
  18. Man, that was pretty much the cost of grading right there... Sick... Damn I missed that!! I would of easily put 18.75 free book
  19. I agree that in this issue and also in #5, character development is taking center stage but the action and plot are fantastic too. This world just keeps growing. Dragotta spoke about doing 50 issues but I would love to see it last longer if they can keep producing material at this high level.. At SDCC he told me they have at least 50 planned. Didn't sound like only 50. This book is only on issue #6. And it's been a great 6. I think we have so many good books out we all want a series NOW. kinda like netflix is doing.. If we got that, it think it wouldn't be so fun. Anticipation can be a good thing. I didn't know that but i love good news. You are right. We need to savor it because when its done, its done and thats no fun In a way, I disagree. Some of my absolute favorite stories have come to an end already. When a creative team sets out to tell a story, I think that's what makes for a great comic. Too much of what we have now are "writing and penciling a book" rather than telling a story. It's the major problem with the big 2 right now. Because with talent like this, if EoW ended at issue 30, but was an amazing story, we would all love it. And then the next thing these guys put out, we would go grab it up. I would rather have a story end than drag out for popularity's sake and start to go downhill. +1 - not just in comics, but in pretty much every form of serialized storytelling. Breaking Bad, The Wire, The Sopranos, etc. vs. The X-Files, ER, NYPD Blue, Dexter, etc. No matter how great a story starts, when it's milked for every cent and continues on ad infinitum, it's bound to tail off badly and eventually fade into an obscure and crappy end. Hell, if ASM had been a planned arc, concluding with the death of Gwen and the Goblin, I think it would have been epic. Well said Solar. I have finished #6 and I must say I am super impressed with the story telling as well as the art. It has me hooked. Does any feel that the Sixth Gun is as popular as this book? I get the same kinda feeling from reading this book as I do when I read the Sixth Gun. And to me this book gets might get more attention. I feel both books are equally that good with story telling and art. I understand that everyone has there own opinions. Just asking. Or is EoW top shelf and SG is well? Cause it's Image not Oni. what's Sixth Gun
  20. I loved every cover on five ghost phantom, and it's cover price. and my LCS give me a few of them for free. stop giving Larry hard time.
  21. Nowwhere Men>>> real bad example, the book sucks that is the true reason resale value tanked, it has nothing to do with phantoms. Nowwhere Men is unreadable.
