  1. Selling some Xmen slabbage - most books (except 94, 95,101 and 129) will be at least 20% off GPA.

    First :takeit: gets the book.

Shipping is $13 priority for up to 3 slabs in US. CAN will be at cost.

    Paypal only.

Returns - sure, within 7 days.

Most of the prior gen label stuff appears to not be cleaned or pressed.

Cases are all nice and backside pics will be made available upon request. If you want to put together a package deal on a bunch, let me know and I will try to squeeze a better discount.

  2. Justin is the bee's knees! He PMd me on a nice 129 I had in my sales thread and told me to hold it while we work out a deal. I'm thinking, I like this dude's style and couldn't resist. After hours of negotiations we struck a deal that made us both happy as little girls in spring time. The deal included a partial trade and he shipped his trade bait super fast and bomb proof. The rumors are true - he's the real deal!!

  3. Sweet buddy!! :applause:

Unfortunately, I can't do anything with the list as there is no more allowable data. :sorry:

People update the thread with their new addition, but no one ever updates the thread when they sell their books. :taptaptap:

I wonder what the percentage is of people who still own their books in the Club. hm

I still have mine!! Here's some scans of it, the photo's I posted a long time ago don't do this book justice. It's the nicest copy I've ever seen in hand/up close.

I've been wanting to get it pressed and grade for years now I've just never got around to it. Well I guess I'm more scared that it'll get a bad press job and lower the grade of it. That's probably why I haven't done it yet.

It's a beaut! Why mess with it?

  4. I've tried that too.

It's a tough book. For me anyways...

It's a tough book period. But, there are still a lot of BA collections out there, and by it's nature (even with the internet) it is a very personal and private affair. :wishluck:

This is the one book I have never found in 9.4+ in any DC/Batman centric collection I have picked up. The main Batman issues (227, 232, 234, 251, etc.) and Tec issues (395, 400) are easy to land in high grade, but the post-400 Tec books tend to be hit and miss condition wise in the collections. Tec #405 (1st League of Assassins) is another tough book in high grade (9.4+).

They are out there. I bought two beautiful raw copies out of OO collections over the past 10 years. One slabbed out 9.8 white and the other in my collection is 9.4/9.6.

Still haven't found a 9.4+ Tomahawk 116 though. Now that's a tough Adams book in true NM or better.

Kept this one since the 9.8 had a miswrap.

Gorgeous copy! The best I have done with private OO collections is a 9.0ish copy. My old 9.2 was a purchase from Brian/foolkiller a few years back. The problem I find locally is that most Batman collectors up here upgraded/took better care of their Batman run issues and considered the Tecs to be less important to their collections. I have noticed a shift the past few years from Adams collectors wanting both titles at the local shows to them primarily going after only the Batman run........

A few years ago, a board member offered raw copies of 401-411 as a group for $120. This was among them...

    You're welcome! :foryou:

  5. One of my favorite dealers, Gene Carpenter, was in town this week. I see him every year at the Williamsburg Film Festival and he always has some sick GA books...... he was showing me some Platinum Age books that looked like they were just picked up at the newsstand yesterday. The prices are always double guide or more (on the nicer stuff) but he has those books you just won't see anywhere else. He's the only comic guy there.....and he has thousands of movie and TV related comics... most are very high grade. He had a Green Hornet 1 with the Bruce Lee photo cover that looked brand new. He had a copy of Ghost Rider 3 with the Frazetta exploding train cover that had to be at least 9.0 @ $ 1800......I was tempted....but that's a lot for just a cool cover. A neat show, it's got an emphasis on western flicks and just boatloads of western comics. I bought a matted photo of Jack Nicholson as the joker with his autograph from an autograph dealer for 75 bucks..... it's super cool. He has autographs from folks like Geronimo, Custer, Sitting Bull, Frank James, and just about any vintage celebrity you could think of. He had Hendrix, Hank Williams (senior), John Wayne,..The guy who played Mark on The Rifleman was there...... but he refuses to sign copies of Rifleman 10 lol ...can't say I blame him. Another guy was there who will take your face and put it on any comic cover of your choosing for less than 10 bucks.... he was very busy. It's a real neat break from a typical Comic Con. GOD BLESS...
