Has anyone here started a 9.8 run? Would love to see pics of some slabbed copies...
-
Just read the first three issues and waiting for #4 to download on the DH app.

I've read 1-7 today, will read 8 tonight and then the hunt begins to put together a raw run for myself.
Only downside to finding a gem like this is my need to own the singles.

im going to have to break down and pick up the TPB
Might work to your benefit - I find its the type of comic that reads better when you read 3-4 of them at a time...
This is true of just about any book. I often save up books for 2-3 months to read several at a time.
True - I just find that with most books i read I like to go back and read the last issue again first, with MP I feel i need to go back at least 2 issues.

What are everyones plans - stick or twist?
Selling off my raw Saga, Revival and Bedlam to put a 9.8 run together of each. So I guess I'd say enjoying it enough to collect it.

It looks nice with the keyline typeface. The blue background had a bit of a colour band through it like most of the first prints though...

Just went to my LCS and there were only three copies of #8B but 30 or more #10.
I know they normaly get in quite a few second prints, was the run on #8B unusually small?
Anyone find this at their LCS?

Bought myself a #7 Ghost 9.8 Universal yesterday, looking forward to welcoming it to the tribe...

Well done - I saw that when there was 15 mins to go. US shipping only, otherwise I was all over it - such a bargain.

can we get confirmation on this? i think Tim & Mike deserve to know
I'd prefer to just take Andy's word for it...

If I can get my hands on a 9.8 ghost I would sell of 8 out of the 10 that I have
eBay sucks for saga slabs there is like 6 of them on there and 5 are #1s
Couple of 2nd and 5th prints but no 1st prints of 3-9. I know there is a #2 first
Print, but I'm not spending 23 bucks shipping from Canada
I'm trying to get together a 9.8 candidate of #2-#8 to submit myself for slabbing, because
A. There are none on eBay
B. Hoping it will work out cheaper
Currently have two complete sets of raws and half of a third set - should be able to get at least one 9.8 per issue together...

Flipping through back issues today at my LCS looking for the 2nd print Saga #7 that I've told myself isn't needed on my last two visits and I came across 2 x Revival #1 first print and 1 x 4th print...
Got them 10% below cover.
They don't even have first prints of issue 5 left on the shelf... Weird.

Got my copies from Chapel Hill today and wow!...great copies. Flawless
I got two copies of ToT #1 in excellent condition from them last spring. Highly recommended dealer.
+1 - nice guys.
Great recommendation - just jumped on to their site and got a few #3 first prints... Great prices too considering the demand ATM
-
Yep I'm astounded that someone is asking that much thinking they won't still own it in 29 days and 22 hours
-
-
I wonder if the prices for first print #1 and #2 will go up now that #3 was such a good read... You can still get both prints really cheap on eBay... Might rent a warehouse and stock up...

For me, if you're a store (online or not) that buys direct from a supplier you should stick with cover price. You shouldn't start going through your back issues and adjusting - that's the charm of a comic store - finding gems at cover price.
Resellers can charge whatever they want as they're matching the market trends, but if you bought in bulk at cost price from the supplier - sell it at cover.
Just my thoughts, would prob think differently if I owned a store...
I would push again for one set at listed price and money back for the rest.

My #1 is the same but they managed to get the NYCC variant in the thin case and it sits nicely. Wouldn't they be the same book thickness?
