  1. Guys, Thank you so much for your support. (worship)

As I had said, I will clarify any and all information when things are settled. I'm not going to defend or go further into my transactions. I've said all I need to say for now. Trust me, more Will be said about this and the seller will have to answer for his decisions and actions.

  2. Here is what i "politely" said on Thursday

Hey, just wondering when you'll be shipping. I'm definitely excited for the book. Thanks.

  3. Guys, I appreciate the comments, regarding the comment that I was blowing up the sales thread. You have to understand that I hadn't heard from the buyer in over a week, and he had the audacity to post in his wanted to buy thread. I made a purchase of $1250 and hadn't heard from him in over a week. I do believe multiple boardies pm'ed him. One even pm'ed me to tell me he pm'ed him about the price.

Either way, he HADN'T read my pm's, and then removed himself from the pm thread today. I ONLY asked for open communication. For him to post in his thread, blatantly not read my messages (and of course NOT send my book), Erase his second message, and then remove himself from the thread, he's AVOIDING our sale entirely. That is a NO NO in any selling arena, let alone on a public comic forum and a COMPLETED sale of $1250. Even if it was $50, it still would matter, but that's a lot of dough to be floating around. I for one don't like to pee on my money.

Rather than hear your version of what is a "NO NO" on any selling arena why don't you give us some insight rather than your version of events.

I made the comment about "blowing up the sales thread" which you saw, I also made a request, let's see screenshots of the PM's you sent this guy last Thurs, Friday and Saturday.

If this becomes a PL process what you are asking is not unreasonable for the record, but having said that, it is absolutely never ever going to be acceptable to take someone's money and then break off contact.

I agree, I'd like to see the communication and a screenshot can't be faked and should show us "unread by" - to show everyone he's not PM'ing into a dead link.

I see things like the seller having the "audacity" to post in his own WTB while not responding to this buyer's PM's - so where's the PM's? What sort of tone is being conveyed by this buyer? If a guy is removing himself from a PM thread, maybe it has something to do with the discussion taking place in the sales thread or maybe it has something to do with what's being said via PM.

Thinking back SpideyFein was the nominator of solarcadet & because he was persona non grata no one ever bothered to press him (the nominator) for any facts or explanations as to why he backed out of that deal twice. He backed out before solarcadet took the retaliatory action of trying to get $30 in shipping fees out of a done deal - I'm not saying that this buyer might not have run into another bad seller situation, I'd like a sense of what some of the buyers around here are saying to a seller 4 days after they said "I'll let you know when it ships".

He's free to share what he wants to share, I'm just not going to automatically take the word of the first person posting here 8 days after a purchase where the seller hasn't said anything about backing out, they've just said nothing.

    (shrug)

Again, I have nothing to hide man. You will feast your eyes on the messages when things are good on my end. Regarding the Solarcadet issue, you must not have read his messages and his responses to others. I didn't back out twice. I gave the first reason why I backed out, and there really wasn't a "second" backing out. The seller was plane nasty, and ADMITTED to being nasty to me and saying he didn't care about me or anybody else (something to that extent). Enough about that.

Question. When you do "see" our pm's, you don't think this guy had a set of iron cahonas to post in his WTB and not PM me back about a $1250 book. Btw, he read all of my pm's apparently all at once and deleted himself at 2:45 or so as I said. He hadn't done anything with my messages the whole week until today and then fact removed himself from the thread shows me he wants nothing to do with it. BTW, it was 9:13pm when I posted in his original thread. My last pm on Sunday was at 5:45pm. It was over 7 days. He had plenty of time to respond.

what point does a screenshot of unread PMs serve?

Thanks KPR. I guess people want to be EXTRA sure I'm telling the truth and that what I said is true. Even though I want to clean the air 100%, again, once all is good on my end, I will gladly post my pms and get him on the probation list. I do take my books and purchases seriously, and of course want to look out for other boardies in the process. This guy should not be on the boards.

It's not my version of the events. It's what happened! After hearing what I've said, it's interesting you are persistent on seeing screenshots of our pm's. I'd rather not show them until things are fully settled. I did PM a couple boardies about the book and kept them in the loop as well.

I've been on the boards for over 2 years man. Only one other time a situation like this has occurred, when a seller demanded I pay him pp personal and shipping on a $500+ book, even though they clearly stated pp and free shipping. I have 16 pages of kudos. Nothing to hide bro. I paid $1250 for a book. After the seller's lack of responses, I'm 99.9% sure I'm not getting it, or the book is sold (to another boardie who did a .... Move and pm'ed him under my nose). I want my dough man.

  6. You did a chargeback or opened a paypal dispute already, I assume? The PL nomination would be secondary (but still important) next to getting the money back.

A chargeback I suppose, basically opened a case. I just had to work, so now I could take it further.

Chargebacks are when you have to go to the credit card company. Paypal may just refund you without you having to go so far. :wishluck:

It'll take some time (they have to let the seller respond), but if (when, really) he can't show tracking you'll get the dough back pretty soon. When there's no proof of shipment, it works pretty fast.

Thanks for the info and well wishes. Yes, hopefully this thing will be over soon. Again, a bunch of bologna- baloney

  9. I'd like to nominate alfredP AKA "bszar" to the Probation List. This piece of never sent me my Green Lantern 76 CGC 9.2 I purchased on April 26 for $1250. He only wrote me 2 messages. 1) his pp email 2) his confirmation of payment. (after I had asked him). He also said in the same message that he would let me know when it would ship.

    Since then, he

    1)Changed his name

    2) Never wrote me one message

    3) Never sent my book

    4) Removed himself from our private pm's today at 2:45pm

    5) erased his 2nd message he wrote me (the one confirming the payment and saying he'll let me know when he ships it. He erased this message two days later if I'm correct

AND THE TOPPING on the Cake

    7) Asked for a back cover scan of the Worlds Finest Comic he's looking for

I kindly wrote him messages on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I again got no response. Yes he erased his second message. Yes he changed his name. Did I want to Still give him the benefit of the doubt- Yes.

So alfredP, I hereby nominate you to the probation list and may you test in piece in the hall of shame forever. I have other infornation that I will post if necessary about your email and name if necessary. I want to say not-so-nice things right now, but I will refrain (For now)

This is definitely Sandman from Spidey 3 reincarnated. Looks like Spidey didn't finish ol' Marko off after all.

The movie will be most def not be anywhere near classic, but I go into these kinds of movies hoping that it will bring a small shimmer of happiness within me. They usually do.

  11. Mike sent me an FF5 carefully wrapped 10 times (literally) within a few hours. I had to pull out the surgical scissors to break it open. Doom looked beautiful. I wouldn't hesitate to do another deal with him. Thanks!!

  12. Nice books guys. I love that b&W color classics.

    Well, what the ....

Donatello died. For those of you who read this, please explain. It is true, but why? And REALLY??????????????

    Donny???????

Not to say I wish it was another turtle, but if they were going to kill a turtle off (if any) I would think Raph, as he would be quick to take a bullet for an April or character similar to her (All of them would, but Raph would push the envelope- "you got beef." I understand that Rocksteady stomped his shell. I just can't believe it. Poor Donny!!!!

    He is still alive.

    http://www.bleedingcool.com/2015/03/20/the-death-of-donatello-not-so-fast/

I read that, but I guess we shall find out. I guess they wanted to shock people. Let's get real here, they can't kill off Donny or a turtle for that matter. It would be "uncivilized" lol

Spoilers, people! I generally don't get to read my books until the weekend. :taptaptap:

My bad. I thought you'd be the first to know. People need to hear about this though. It's the biggest thing since sliced bread

  14. Well, my little 9.6 SS run is coming along nicely and still having fun with it. The latest pickup from Spideyfein was a nice addition so thank you kind sir! (thumbs u

Below is my #1 (2nd print), #3, #4... just need #2 (1st) to fill the missing space! :pullhair:

    WP_20150226_003_zpsciyiami7.jpg

Now you know because you put up that group shot I have to go heavy and look for a 2. I now want to fill the hole as much as you do (didn't sound right lol )

The set in SS9.6 does look mighty sweet though.

  15. I can't say enough good things about Anthony. Nicest boardie around. Solid communication, a great guy to talk books with, immediate shipping, bomb proof packaging, and a credit to the human race. Thanks for the sweet IF14. It made my day!

  16. You have officially made me want a Kirby page now. I've thought about it for a bit, but maybe this will be one of my next missions. Ahh, it never ends.

I love owning Kirby pages! Do it! :baiting:

Where do I start looking? I'm probably opening up a can of worms lol

Original comic art can indeed be a can of worms; rabbit hole; new, all-encompassing obsession...proceed with caution!

Do your homework first, of course. Heritage archives are a great resource, watch ebay, clink, comicconnect, etc. Over in the OA threads there are lots of reputable dealers listed. A weird thing with OA is that no one wants to be the first to attach a price to a page. Be ready for a metric ton of "make me an offer" and "where are you on this". Romitaman has a lot of neat Kirby pages, and they actually list prices! (kinda like a new car sticker, tho. Haggling is expected.)

The guys in the OA section will be of way more help than me, however. Check it out, and have fun!

I have seen a couple Romita pieces that were like new cars for sure. I'm sure Kirby's are like that and of course more. I have poked around a little some time ago, but I just may. I have some time off this week, so hopefully I could have some fun. Thanks! I'm thinking in my head it could be something I could work towards in the future (Highly unlikely, I know, as there are thousands of comics and only one specific piece of art from those comics). It will be fun to look for now though.

  17. I don’t have signatures turned on – could you post your set here, SpideyFein? :)

And finally I managed to take a picture of my FF original art page, dedicated to KirbyJack which asked about it. From Fantastic Four #62, page 19:

This is phenomenal. Wow. Really no need to show my set after that, but here it is.
