  2. Hey Sonu, sweet AF. Welcome to the boards. You'll find that the boards are full of passionate collectors who know their books- Really some great people.
  3. Went for $1,950, quite the bump from 2013 average around $1,500. Any thoughts on how much this is movie related bump-age (and thus subject to deflation post movie) and how much is organic growth? I think it's both. Similar to AF15, I think more and more we'll see lower grade issues command more value. The movie hype has peaked people's interest, and since we are now in a place where speculators drive prices up, I think 6.0's will start selling for that or a little under. I thought it would go for around 1750 mark personally. My feeling is that lower grades will start showing a lot of growth in the upcoming months, and especially with more movie buzz (of course). We have to remember that prices have always jumped around in high grade (even prior to the movie stuff), and I think we'll see a lot more of that in low grade, especially around the fine mark. Btw, those new turtle costumes look WACK, but I will of course see the movie. The costumes may change a bit, and I'm hoping those are just prototypes or something. These would be cool.
  4. Looks much Nicer. Wow. Congrats man. No chipping and Off-White PQ. Niceeeeeee
  5. Jim is the man. A true collector, I just completed a BIG Trade with Jim, with a beautiful TOS39 5.5, WD1, and others included. Jim was professional from start to finish, and followed through immediately. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with Jim again. Awesome. Thank you.
  6. Dave was a gentleman from start to finish, and had great communication throughout. Dave aims to please. Thanks.
  7. I just got in a beautiful Thor 165, shipped quickly and safely. Awesome book from an awesome seller. Thanks.
  8. John QUICKLY sent me a beautiful X-Factor 6 slabbed. I literally could have taken a hammer to it, and it wouldn't have budged it was packed so tightly. He's a great guy to communicate with as well. Oh, and awesome extras. How cool is that? Thanks.
  9. Very nice man! Off White too! I know they're out there in every grade, but it's nice to see lower grade beauties like ours that capture Spidey in all of his web headed goodness.
  10. That is a very sharp 2.5! Congrats! No package in the mail compares to the one containing a copy of this issue! How true is that. It's sure to make you sweat a little. A good sweat.
  11. I traded with a fellow boardie this week, and got this beauty. I'm still "tingling"
  12. Help! I had never posted it, but I just sold my beautiful lil 1.8. I'm looking at all the beauties and tearing up. I need another. Mr. Pym, where art thou?

  14. Thanks for the kinds words guys. All of the wear is on the bc. When I saw it, I was blown away. Here's another out of the light and the bc. I said to myself, unless I get a great deal in the future (which has a one in a million chance of happening) I don't think I'll be upgrading anytime soon.
  15. Hey Guys, I upgraded my 1.8 to a 6.0, I mean 2.5. Ecstatic is not the word. I love it.
  16. Rick sold me a beautiful NM98 9.8, and it was shipped BOMB proofed, very quickly. Rick was awesome to deal with and a pleasure to communicate with. Thanks.
  17. Whoa! if that was my book, I would forget also, as I would be too busy drooling over it. Awesome book I am at a loss for words. +1. That's a beast of a copy. Maloney, your 1.8 is beautiful. That's one of my comic goals this year. A nice presenting low grade JIM. Congrats.
  18. They probably have some value to a hard core TMNT collector. However, I haven't seen much of a market for VHS tapes... at all. I've seen them about 50 times each. There are a lot of them, now on DVD. They are the first few episodes of the turtles cartoons. Check me' out and have a good laugh. Cowabunga.
  19. Special thanks to DWC and THB on the 181 and blanks. I'm more than pleased. Here we go Wolvie-Feins

  24. so where is the probation? bring it im not selling so what am i probated from? All we're missing is for him to dare us all to keep him from posting. He should go straight to the H.O.S. Isn't probation supposed to be a temporary situation to help provide the offending boardie time to correct a wrong? I thought about this a couple of days ago after my issues and while looking at the list. Some of these folks have been on there for several years. I think we need to look hard at a different course for those that outright say they are not going to make good or have been on the list for a prolonged period of time. I'm not sure if it's a third list that says they are not permitted transactions in the marketplace or if they are moved to the HOS list. However, I'm not sure that the PL is always the answer and where some of these folks should reside indefinitely. i am open to right any wrong. i only offended the buyer in the shipping price. i didnt take or steal any money. i have never said i would NOT try to make things right. some have decided to lynch me over a private selling matter.... can one person come forward that i have done wrong in a completed sell or trade? There are no "private selling matters". The transactions that take place with board members are supported by the community. Fail to take care of your business the way you should and the board will label/address you as they have. You wronged SpideyFein by not following through with the deal as you should have per your own post. It should have been $750 pp shipped. By trying to go the route of $750 pp personal + $15 shipping, you attempted to raise the price on him by $15 and take away any security that he had by paying pp personal. To wrong someone on this forum isn't just about screwing them over on money by stealing, but also by not following through on a deal like you should per commitments. Which by the way, you are clearly someone that should never be sent money via pp personal, given your posts. Hey, just to clarify. I had withdrawn my I'll take it twice. The first was due to him wanting me to wait to buy the book because he might sell the "set " of other X-men 's to people he was pming back and forth with. That put a bad taste in my mouth, and after clearly stating that I won the book via his rules, he decides to say he didn't want to blow anybody over (referring to the other people, not taking into account he was blowing me over). I replied with how about me. I said I'm not waiting and getting my hopes up. At that point, I was still calm, and brushed it off. After some time and me posting in the thread, He said he'd honor my I'll take it. The shipping and paypal gift stuff came. I still let it go. Then the ignorant comment about me splitting to many hairs came, I still let it go, but when I said I'm not going to retaliate, and he comes back with a stupid comment to tell others of his ignorance, he almost forced me to say something. All I wanted was for Solarcadet to follow the rules of the boards, and the rules of his post. He refused. If he was new, I guess I would understand more. He's apparently been around for a bit though.
  25. After speaking to fellow boardies, I will post my original post I had posted in comics general here: Hello my fellow boardies, I try not to get into heated conversations with others, but I recently posted an in Solarcadet thread for an X-Men 1 CGC 3.5 Mexican Edition for $750 shipped. I'm writing this to protect my name and to warn fellow boardies. Afterwards I was asked to wait to wait because other people wanted to buy his "set" of other foreign X-men's, told that he wouldn't sell it to me till tonight because he didn't want to blow anybody off, and then after telling him twice the book should be mine, he said he'd honor the I said ok. He then told me to pay through paypal personal, and that it would be $765 shipped. I said I couldn't pay through personal, and that he specified that on the first page shipping was included. So guys, again, I'm not one to post this stuff, until this garb- HIM: no problem. i dont want to sell to you \(thumbs u you split too many hairs and your out a cool book Me: For future reference, you should follow the rules you put in the your posts. If you say shipping is included, then it's included in the price. If you say paypal, the buyer is not forced to pay personal paypal unless they want to. If you say first I'll take it wins, either through pm or in the thread, and are going back and forth with someone via pm, but somebody posts the I'll take it, the person that posted the I'll take wins the book. If you want other rules, I would specify in the post beforehand. -Dan Me: Split too many hairs. I am a gentleman, so I won't retaliate. Follow through on the rules you post man! HIM: i am not a gentleman. spread the word
