  1. Ted sold me a beauty FF46 and shipped it next day, very safely. It was a pleasure all around, and I wouldn't hesitate to do biz with Ted again. A very classy transaction.
  2. These are freakin cool. You got the goodies Adam! That Dooney is sick. For me, if it's not Eastman or Laird, it's Dooney. I'm hoping to get another sketch from him next week!
  3. I work in multiple schools, and yes, little kids (big kids too) love Deadpool. Pre-teens think he so cool, teens relate to his humor, older guys and gals think he cool because he just doesn't give a poo poo. Yes, buying now is silly, but Deadpool will be around a long time. Like all movie hype books, it will go up, level a bit, then go down a bit. Will a NM98 in 9.8 always be in demand- Yup! Will fans and comic lovers always want to have a copy- Yup! Are there many many copies of it- Yup! Do I like Deadpool- Yup!
  4. Ryan shipped a beautiful Hulk 180 to my door next day, wrapped very well, strong like Admantium. Solid all the way and great communication. Thanks!!!
  5. Pete bought a slab from me, paid immediately, and was great to deal with. He's a great guy as well. I would deal with him again in a heartbeat.
  6. I know the cover and episode. Very cool piece man. I actually enjoy cells and the artwork from the cartoon. Some scenes are great. I guess you're right on Rocksteady. In that particular piece, I guess he just looked a little different to me. Eb, all I have to say is Wow on the 3rd print double SS. Extremely sweet. I smell the turtlely goodness from here.
  7. Very interesting. I wonder why. Thanks man. Bronty, what toon episode or cover are you referring too. Rocksteady looks a bit different too. Pretty cool through
  8. Adam and crew, I love it. You guys really know you're turtles. I love when you guys put turtle facts up, so Thank You!!!! Always very interesting. So, I wanted to share my new turtle piece. This is what I do after I watch turtle power and see an afa graded turtle in the background, (might have been Leo or Raph). I've been wanting one for the longest time, have been looking at Slash and a few others on EBay for years, and have thought about grading some of my own, as I have over 100. This particular Leo is a U85 uncirculated with all 85's as subgrades. It looked so sweet, and is the clearest bubble I've ever seen. What's interesting is that the bubble has a slight curve to it, but I imagine like CGC and other graders, maybe the graders were feeling good that day. It's all in the eye of the beholder.
  9. I made a rash decision and thought I'd sell my FF1, X-Men, and others and go for Gobbledy. Fortunately, it went way high and I'm not stressing right now The turtle lover in me takes over sometimes. Nice stuff Chad!
  10. Peas, I appreciate the clarification. Yeah, I recognized where it would have been, but still looked suspect for a moment. I messaged the guy. He wants to let the auction run. We'll see where it goes. Regarding the movie, I guess if you have it in your head that it's for the new generation than I could live with that. That's tough to do sometimes. I know movies today are not going to be geared towards 30+ adults who want to see true origin stories and in-depth storyines. I go into most comic related movies with little expectations, but with the turtles it's always hard, even though I know the direction in which they're headed. I imagine it's because I have such an attachment to the turtles from childhood. I am looking forward to my son playing with the toys in a few years and turtle power staying for the long haul too. I hope to see in NY in Oct. (thumbs u
  11. "CGC can be a hassle." Says the seller hiding something... Best guess it would top out at a 5; maybe could press higher. I would really worry about color touch... It's not just that, I don't think that book is a first print is it? Logo blood is correct Cover color is correct GG ad in the back address is correct no evident bleaching on the inside front cover Nothing to lead me to believe it's not a first print. I agree, but what is the slight black strip on inside front cover. Could that possibly be bleed through from color touch. I know the paper is thicker, so I'm curious. It may just be a shadow.
  12. I think it looks pretty clean. Tough buying raw on the bay though. On a bright note, I got my Usagi signed by Stan finally. It looks that much sweeter with the sig. Thanks Mike!! The first time he didn't sign it and I then had to get it regraded. It's all good though. It's safe and sound- Ahhhh.
  13. Greg bought a Spidey slab and was great to deal with. Quick payment, friendly communication, and he's a man who knows his books. Thanks!
  14. that will look awesome in my batman collection PM sent. Enjoy! I'll have it out soon. Thanks.
  15. I saw Neal Adams for the first time a few years ago. A kid walks up to him (around 10 years old) and shows him a picture he drew of Batman. Neal says you gotta keep practicing kid, with a snarl. I was flabbergasted. I felt like saying something to him. I honestly hope I never see something like that again. I will say something next time! Sometimes, the ego gets in the way and people are filled with ignorance. I've seen him elsewhere, and he seems ok. Even if you're having a bad day, c'mon.
  16. Ok fellas, here is my first official RAK. AF15 just wasn't cutting it . I thought instead of Spidey, I'd offer one of the first comics I remember owning and always thinking how cool the cover art was. I got this from Mike recently on the boards, who rocks. I hope a Batman/Swampy lover enjoys it. Shipping in the US included. Int'l please cover half. Enjoy.
  17. Is that your offer? My little guys co-sleeper is in the way of my cubby, but a cool cover signed by a classy writer will be up for some rak action in the mo-ning. Just a little somethin somethin to wet my feet. ASM 1 signed by Stan Lee? That's cheap bro! Only AF's around these parts.

  19. Some very nice offerings here guys. I'm glad to see people are giving nicely and building connections. I know I said it before, but I'm getting up in the mix soon. Maybe tonight!
  20. Mike is a true gentleman, and rocks! Solid in every way- payment, communication, and just a great human being. A true asset to the boards and community. I can't say enough good things about him. Thanks for the blessings as well!
  21. David bought a Turtle slab off me, was a great guy to deal with, paid immediately, and is awesome to talk books with. I would recommend him any day of the week. Thanks.
  22. Ah man. Well, I'm up preparing the bottle for my son, and my wife asks me how was the movie. My answer; The turtles and Splinter were April's pets. She even said it like such a cornball (hand goes to my head as I sigh), and Splinter found a book on Ninjitsu to teach the turtles (hand goes to my head as I sigh)- learning the art of Ninjitsu from a book- who knew and there was constant cgi (hand goes to my head as I sigh), of course we would expect a warped story line, tons of cgi explosion, and cgi turtles, but there were too many things not right. The Foot reminded me of weak "Immortal" soldiers from 300 that relied heavily on guns and didn't use Ninjitsu or their bodies to fight. Then there was Shredder, who was more like Shogun Shredder from the toy line. So full of metal with boomerang sharp blades. Not to give anything away, but I thought we were going to see Super Shredder at the end, but he was super throughout. What saved it a little was Donny's wittiness (My favorite turtle), some interactions between the turtles, their comradary, Splinter having a cool fight scene with the Shredhead, and a rooftop scene with Shredder and the turtles. I tried to like it, I did, but there were too many things just off-putting for me. For those of you who haven't seen it, of course go see it, and try to stay positive. I'm usually a guy who takes movies for what they are, but being a turtle lover, it was hard to stay smiling. Nrccijr, awesome shell and Talbot artwork. Sweet man!! I wonder what would happen if you wore that shell to work
