  1. they did not make it in time for the convention. Printer missed the shipping pick-up that would have got it to Thought Bubble. Was supposed to arrive on Friday, but FedEx international takes two days and the packages weren't picked up until Thursday morning. No Saturday delivery on international shipments, so they were delivered on Monday -- after the convention was over. Making the best of a bad situation, we had them distributed amongst the various locations of Traveling Man, a UK shop instrumental in putting on the Thought Bubble convention. (Which is great, btw, and absolutely worth attending if you get the chance.) -e.s. Eric Stephenson Publisher Image Comics, Inc. www.imagecomics.com Best con in the UK. And Travelling Man is a great shop too.
  2. There's ALWAYS the risk that a book won't be good, or just mediocre. If that's your worry then it stands for every book so you probably shouldn't pre-order anything. Saga was hugely popular and selling for more than cover price way before the push it got from being named book of the year. It was BKV... and not just that, it was BKV coming back to comics. Yet people still didn't pre-order... comic shops still didn't order enough. Then people still didn't order the 2nd printing so they needed a 3rd printing and then people still didn't order that so they had to do a 4th printing etc etc up to 5 printings. It's ridiculous. If ONLY........ If only what?

  4. EoW will be under-ordered too. And there will be a 2nd printing and possibly 3rd, 4th... who knows? Plenty of people who know it's coming out and want it won't pre-order and will come to the internet all bummed out saying "my lcs didn't have any left", and comic shops themselves still won't have learnt, and will sell out in 3 hours. And then there are all the lazy folk who don't even know about its existence until #5 comes out. It's pretty much guaranteed. Saga was one of the most anticipated books in the history of forever. How on earth did that book need a bajillion printings? Why weren't the orders high enough to begin with? What did shops do - just order an extra 2 copies or what? Blows my mind.
  5. This! It blows my mind that people missed out on getting Saga #1, for example. "My lcs didn't have any left"... WUT. You need to pre-order the mess out of a book like that. There's a general apathy amongst comic readers. Even with all the hits at Image for the past 12-18 months, people still can't be bothered or don't want to take a risk on books. It's like they can't even be bothered finding out what's coming out in the next few months and have an aversion to pre-ordering. They just sit and wait until IGN or Newsarama or some other website TELL them that it's good. Plus, they have a million Bat-books they need to buy.
  6. Where do you buy in bulk in Europe? And how do you go about getting stuff graded? How many do you send away, how much does it cost etc?
  7. +1 Thanks as well. I had no idea why that particular issue was going gaga. or going SAGA... AMIRITE
  8. For me it is THE best book on the shelves, and I read a lot and love a lot. I'm sad it's ending too but also glad we got as much as we did.
  9. Matt Kindt is absolutely amazing. Stoked for him if this movie thing goes through. If you haven't read his GNs you should do that now, especially "3 Story". What a book!
  10. Yeah I tried the completed listing search and the best I found was one that sold for about a 10th of that asking price! But that was over a month ago and I know how quickly these things can change these days. AND Thank you
  11. Is the 2nd printing of #1 really worth this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/THE-MANHATTAN-PROJECTS-1-ULTRA-RARE-2ND-PRINT-ATOMIC-BOMB-VARIANT-COVER-NM-/271132791004?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item3f20c610dc I thought I had 2 first prints of #1 but when I looked I realised it was one 1st print and one 2nd print and assumed the 2nd print would be close to worthless... I'm new to this
  12. Hi, new here so I'm sorry if I'm doing this wrong. I'm just wondering if anyone knows where the very last page of The Losers is. Thanks!
