  1. I think most just preordered lots of #1 and ignore the rest unless they want to sell sets. No doubt about the quality but sometimes, it isn't enough to overcome the supply issue. Still a great read, digitally
  2. I think it is the reverse. There was too much spec for #1 which resulted in the massive drop off for #2 and beyond. I think it was CBT who suggested that the drop off between #1 and #2 is a proxy for spec's play. 21,745 12,335 11,967 11,553
  3. These are the last 2 pages. No sure which page are u referring to? Unless you are talking about the ad at the end? If that is so, please confirm that you are using an ad as a first appearance?
  4. What you saying sound rather convoulted for a first appearance. I believe the below is the page u r referring to? Doesn't look like a first appearance to me. They are not even together! Relative to this, GOTG#1 is just more obvious. Cover appearance, team uniforms and even a name. What else do you need for a first appearance?
  5. I think this is a common misconception. The team didn't really come together at AC #6. I have laid it out in more details here with actual screenshots. Basically, there were 2 teams in AC #6. Half of the GOTG is in one team (Starlord, Racoon and Groot, together with Mantis and Bug) while the rest is in the other (Gamora, Drax and Warlock). There was no team structure present at all in this issue.
  6. This is crazy. There are much cheaper BINs rather than he paid for.
  7. Why do you need so many sets for? I presume you intend to sell them off at some time in the future?
  8. I am surprised you are not aware of the TV show? We had a whole thread at LyriaExchange?
  9. What are the signals to say that this book might not be as valuable in the secondary market as everyone says? For example, the series is at #10 and we are still seeing declining print numbers? Or at #12 and the regular #1 still selling around cover?
  10. I think prices for the regular #1 is still swinging. It can be $10 one day and $5 another. Depends on whether it is an auction or BIN.
  11. All the recent covers have been ace. Can't wait for #7's cover to be in my hands.
  12. Did EoW get nominated for the Shel Dorf awards?
  13. Is this expectation that a 9.8 will always be around for cheap suppressing the price of this book?
  14. I just feel that Todd is really becoming the Chew of 2013. There is nothing out there quite like this
