  1. I think most just preordered lots of #1 and ignore the rest unless they want to sell sets. No doubt about the quality but sometimes, it isn't enough to overcome the supply issue. Still a great read, digitally
  2. I think it is the reverse. There was too much spec for #1 which resulted in the massive drop off for #2 and beyond. I think it was CBT who suggested that the drop off between #1 and #2 is a proxy for spec's play. 21,745 12,335 11,967 11,553
  3. These are the last 2 pages. No sure which page are u referring to? Unless you are talking about the ad at the end? If that is so, please confirm that you are using an ad as a first appearance?
  4. What you saying sound rather convoulted for a first appearance. I believe the below is the page u r referring to? Doesn't look like a first appearance to me. They are not even together! Relative to this, GOTG#1 is just more obvious. Cover appearance, team uniforms and even a name. What else do you need for a first appearance?
  5. I think this is a common misconception. The team didn't really come together at AC #6. I have laid it out in more details here with actual screenshots. Basically, there were 2 teams in AC #6. Half of the GOTG is in one team (Starlord, Racoon and Groot, together with Mantis and Bug) while the rest is in the other (Gamora, Drax and Warlock). There was no team structure present at all in this issue.
  6. This is crazy. There are much cheaper BINs rather than he paid for.
  7. Why do you need so many sets for? I presume you intend to sell them off at some time in the future?
  8. I am surprised you are not aware of the TV show? We had a whole thread at LyriaExchange?
  9. What are the signals to say that this book might not be as valuable in the secondary market as everyone says? For example, the series is at #10 and we are still seeing declining print numbers? Or at #12 and the regular #1 still selling around cover?
  10. I think prices for the regular #1 is still swinging. It can be $10 one day and $5 another. Depends on whether it is an auction or BIN.
  11. All the recent covers have been ace. Can't wait for #7's cover to be in my hands.
  12. Did EoW get nominated for the Shel Dorf awards?
  13. Is this expectation that a 9.8 will always be around for cheap suppressing the price of this book?
  14. I just feel that Todd is really becoming the Chew of 2013. There is nothing out there quite like this
  15. I just want to know when that wolf/hairy guy in the shorts is going to appear?
  16. Yes of course but since there are always folks saying this is the next Saga, I thought it will be interesting to compare them, be it sales or reviews or other stuff that might pop up. Nobody says, for example, that Todd or Clone or Five ghosts is the next Saga which is why no comparison was done.
  17. I like Hickman and Eow but was surprised to find that at comic roundups, overall review still prefers Saga than EoW. I guess this is understandably since not everyone prefers the world building and long form story telling that Hickman likes to do.
  18. Hey Ken Are any of the characters on the covers of #1 (first and second print) going to be used? Looking forward to #5 tomorrow!
  19. +1, although it is hard to repeat how good the story and artbook is without sounding like a broken record. Maybe my vocab is limited As for Frank, it is so true that he actually spends time to interact with fans (like Ken from Todd). I wonder why more creators don't bother to come to interact with their potential readers here.
  20. I love these exclusives and I cannot never afford them at ebay prices. If one day Frank wakes up and says there will be an exclusive that will only be shipped outside of US just for overseas fans, that will be amazing!!
  21. You mean like the five #1s this seller blew out 4 days ago at best offer with a $12.99 listing and $3.00 shipping? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Five-Ghosts-Haunting-Of-Fabian-Gray-1-Frank-Barbiere-Chris-Mooneyham-1st-print-/380617903869?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item589e984efd I wish this was the norm but I am seeing lots of sold prices at way below what you posted. This is something I don't quite get. There is a lot of people reading and liking this series (myself included) There isn't a lot of hoarding like EoW. Print run has been healthy. So, shouldn't we see a healthy growth in secondary prices, rather than this dip that we are seeing? Maybe it is the 3D covers
  22. How about the regular #1? Any chance of it selling above $10?
  23. How do they make money with such low prices??
  24. Revival is old news. Onward to the next title for speculation!!
