  1. Got my TB in the mail yesterday (the one I posted a pic of before buying). It actually is NOT a tear at the top. It's just a tic, and it looks wayyyyy better than the pictures the guy showed me. Definitely a steal at $80.

  2. I see both sides of the arguments. I found Menace's original sales thread before anybody had posted about buying copies. I contemplated buying one for myself, but decided not to.

I wouldn't have a problem with what he was doing, but it does seem unfair for people attending the con. I understand that the CBDLF would have potentially made more by selling 200 copies on the boards, but to be fair to the people actually attending the con, maybe they could have let Menace buy any leftovers to sell for the $30 on these boards. That way none would be taken away from potential buyers going to the con and the CBDLF would have made more money on the remaining comics.

  3. I wish I could find a Saga RRP in that shape for $95! lol

Honestly, I think I'd wait it out a bit; save a little more and get a better looking copy. That "crease" looks more like a tear, so I'd spend my money elsewhere. With that said, I'm about to open up a package containing two TB variants I picked up from another boardie...

    :whee:

  4. Haha I feel sorry for you guys. I haven't gotten a single issue of Nowhere Men. After I read the digital versions and liked it, it was already up in price like it is now.

Digital leads to physical collecting.... Hypothesis confirmed.

I will admit that has been the case with Image Comics. I started reading near the end of last summer, but only Marvel and DC. Then I started getting into Image in the past few weeks. Bedlam #1 was free to read, and now I'm hooked on it also.

  5. Thanks for the responses, everyone. I've been looking for one, but the color breaks look like tears. The seller said it wasn't torn though. I just wanted to make sure I didn't jump on it just because I'm impatient to get one.

  6. Example of a noob moment: I paid $224 for a Silver Surfer #1 I thought was a 6.0, but really was a 5.0. It happens, I'm over it. Next please! ;)

Man, I know that must have sucked. I did pretty well with my first buy and sell, but I know it doesn't always go that way.
