  1. HUH? WHAT? *YAWN* Errr. What time is it? Hey, M.K.? M.K. -- wake up. Dude, wake UP! People want an update on TODD. Tell them the game is coming out? They know that already. What about the book? Oh, that's right -- a new edition of the first trade paperback comes out this week. That's cool, but what about genuinely new STORIES? What about the TV SHOW? What? Don't roll over. Hey, look at me. Look at me! What are you mumbling? What? Did you say "spoon"? Dude, we've been spooning for the last eleven months. Oh, not "spoon" --- "soon". Okay, I'll tell them -- news is coming. Stay tuned to the internets.

  2. Todd can't have a different artist, MK's Todd is worth waiting for though a year since the last issue is way too long of a wait; hype and interest-wise it's almost like it will be starting from the beginning again. Todd has its loyal followers but I'm afraid the casual readers may be lost

I agree but hire a new artist and if no one is asking, Ken you used to come on here a lot, can you please give us an update, don't disappear on us, people are loosing faith here.

Don't lose faith! I will update you when I've got more news on the book and the show. Right now all I can say is everything's moving forward on both, but it's a slow process. I'm doing everything I can to keep the trains moving. We appreciate all your support. Now back to my writing k-hole....

  3. That's fascinating, Ken. Thanks for the link.

MK Perker seems like a cool cat. I had no idea that he was not a traditional comic book artist. It does sound like he has rather a lot on his plate though. Is there a story behind how he was tapped to draw Todd?

Here's an interview I did that dives into it:

  4.

I'm baffled with Todd in particular, as Ken was on here a lot - so maybe something has happened in his personal life, that makes comic writing (understandably) not important.

I really hope that's not the case - but if a book needed to hit the shops asap - it's Todd.

Comic writing not important!!? How dare you, Beige! Just because MK is moving at the pace of diseased livestock, don't take shots at my writing prolificacy. For the record, in the last 10 months I've written issues 9-12 of Todd, 5-10 of Indestructible, 1-3 of a new Image book, and a new graphic novel.

    Love you ALL.

  5. Sad but true.

Tough love here ken. You need to get something on the shelves soon or people are going to forget this book and move on.

Has anyone heard a definitive update for new issues, or a potential Television update?

Wasn't there going to be a board game at one point?

If this is old stuff, I apologise, I don't visit the Modern section too much nowadays.

I don't think u have missed anything. It has been rather stagnant but i personally am in for the long haul. Just a fantastic read that i think will translate well to tv.

Nigel is BACK! Thought you were in prison or something the way you dropped off the map so quickly. Great to hear from you. Yes, things are moving slowly with everything. But they say good things come to those who wait! So just imagine how good it's gonna be. Anywhoooo -- yes, I did say something about spotting me with some TV folks at SDCC. And in a million years I never thought anyone would. So it was pretty funny when I met with the animation company on Friday at the Hilton Gaslamp restaurant ...and right as I'm about to leave I see one of my favorite retailers sitting at the table right behind me! He'd been eavesdropping the whole time!! But he's sworn to secrecy....

  6. Ken, when does Todd #9 come out? :wishluck:

My mom just asked me the same question!

MK is trying to get a certain amount finished before we solicit #9, because he's concerned about his schedule (BABY + DAY JOB + TODD = SLOWNESS) and doesn't want any shipping delays mid-arc. So far we have blown through the summer target we'd set for ourselves. Will have a new target soon.

Thanks! (thumbs u And understand, your mom and I don't mean to nag. We ask because we care.

I totally get that -- and, remember, nobody gets more frustrated than the writer when things out of his control cause delays. Because we care so much too. Just part of the job we have to deal with.

Stupid babies (I've gone through 4) and stupid day jobs (too many to list). They screw up all of your plans. I'm pretty sure I would have been Elmer J Fudd rich by now if not for ... :roflmao:

Everyone needs to stop having babies. For like 20 years. No babies. Let's all agree to wipe out a generation. Can we agree on that?
