  1. Ok, so we got $114 million (give or take), let's see how strong the legs are on this one. Will word of mouth help or not really make much of a difference? Disney/Marvel is going to be waiting on "pins and needles" for next weekend.
  2. I'm guessing he is talking about him and his wife/girlfriend 2x $15 for $30.
  3. Once we have final 1st weekend numbers and 2nd weekend numbers (how big the fall off is) we will be able to predict it pretty close.
  4. So a too long film, that has a lot of potential great ideas that end up being half-assed and ends up following the MCU formula we have seen before. Great!
  5. It is just too bad that WB and Whedon sucked the life/desire out of Afleck to do his Batman movies.
  6. I think I will end up going to my grave wondering why Zach Snyder gets so much hate. Every interview I have seen or heard with him, and every actor/actress and support person that has worked with him has nothing but good things to say. I just don't get it.
  7. Never saw that movie, is it as bad as everyone says?
  8. I just watched MoS and BvS Ultimate cut again yesterday!
  9. LOL, yeah. He has a compulsion to stick a certain part of his body into any hole he sees. Causes him to lose his sidekick and his butler.
  10. Yup, and the more I think about it, it isn't far fetched. In the DC "One Million" comic stories the original Superman (Superman-Prime) ended up moving his Fortress of Solitude into the Sun. He lived there for 15,000 years and when he came back and he was all golden and glowie (and obviously very powerful), sounds almost like Apollo "The Sun God" from Greek Mythology. While it would have been a bit, odd seeing in the movies that the Kryptonians were the "gods" that were worshipped back in the day, I don't think it is a horrible concept. Different and off beat, but not horrible.
  11. Ok, but back in the early 2000s Wonder Woman used her headpiece and totally slit Superman's throat while he was being mind controlled. Doesn't take much imagination to see her pushing a bit harder and actually loping his head off. So, yeah, a case can be made that Wonder Woman could kill Superman, not sure what the problem is with that. Also in the BVS movie she cuts off Doomsday's hand with her sword (and he was at least half kryptonian).
  12. "Mostly for MCU faithful", that tells me everything I need to know about the movie. It is more of the same. This is at best a D+ watch for me.
  13. I could see an argument made either way. Yes, from what we "know" of Kryptonians the power sets don't line up with the Olympic Gods. On the other hand, if those Kyrptonians crashed over 20,000 years ago (ship surrounded by 20,000 year old ice), who knows what powers they may have after being in the earth's yellow sun and atmosphere for 20,000+ years.
  14. Based on how the Marvel movies and shows have been received in Phase 4 (and so far Phase 5), I find people "speculating" on the movies/shows to get a "pop in prices" rather funny. That worked great in the early phases but I don't see it staying like that.
  15. That wasn't a very good review. (Review of the movie, not the actual writing if I wasn't clear)
  16. Dead end movie with Amber Turd in it, yeah, I pass.
  17. Wow, I know this is "ancient history" now, but seriously he thought "pedo parties" was edgy and cool?
  18. I don't think so. I've always found animated films a bit odd in that you are there to see the animation/story, however studios think that they need an "A" list actor to do the voice. Now don't get me wrong some "A" list people have done amazing jobs in voice animation, however to me having an "A" list actor do the voice work isn't really that much of a draw. Sometimes it can hurt more than it helps, because if you get an "A" list actor that just talks like his normal voice or even worse like he is known for in the movies then I cannot take it seriously. For example if Optimus Prime sounds like Thor I've checked out of the moive before it even begins.
