  1. I'd be up for Old Man Logan. It's one of the best Wolverine stories of all time - however, I see some problems with it since the Hulk clan is a big part of the motivation behind his journey. I'm not sure replacing them with another villain will have the same effect in the story and definitely not the ending.

They'd have to change a lot of it. Red Skull is the main villain. Theres a venom dinosaur. Hawkeye is his partner. Spider-man's daughter or granddaughter, I forget which, is in it. I love the story and would love to see it done but theres so much that would need to be different.

  2. [

A universe full of advanced alien gizmos, but SHIELD can't put fake blood packets that explode when a blank bullet is fired, onto someone? hm I need to see the gaping wounds.

Alien gizmos are more believable than what you're proposing. Like Garrett is not going to notice on a multi-hour flight that the people Ward shot aren't actually dead. :screwy:

This and also what does Ward gain from pretending to kill Koenig? If he was still with SHIELD it would serve no purpose to pretend to kill him. Granted he could be lying, but in Cap 2 Fury admits to not even knowing about Hydra until the last minute. So how would he have time to set up a double agent?

  3. Well, the whole premise about no one knowing about Hydra is a little shaky...after all, the recruiting must have been going on for a long time and there must have been SOME people who said no. Those people would have had to be killed or brainwashed so they would not blab...

You can't keep a secret with more than 2 people;)

It's fun to speculate, but it IS just all made up, lol;)

I think Ward is under some kind of mind control...perhaps he was still affected by Lorelei, so someone else could mind control him easily.

He was forced to shoot the guy in the wheel chair, because he was mentally convinced that person would kill Skye.

There is also that fight scene, where he saved Skye by beating up all the Hydra followers.

Besides, he's a terrible actor, but he's really cute, so I think they will keep him.

They did mention that Garrett had killed some people that had found out. I also am not sure of Wards motivations behind killing the fake clairvoyant. Maybe it was about Skye or maybe that was just his excuse because he's Hydra.

Isn't the point of the boards to discuss made up stuff?

  4. I find it hard to believe Wards double crossing Hydra unless he's just flying by the seat of his pants. If he was in Hydra the whole time but is still with SHIELD that would mean someone in SHIELD knew about Hydra. Fury stated in Cap 2 that he didn't even know about it.

But maybe, when Coulson took Ward aside and you couldn't hear what was said after they saw Garrett in cuffs, they set something up.

  5. Coupon submission

    -Verified - 11 March

-Scheduled for Grading - 25 March

    -Graded - 28 March

    -QC - 31 March

    -Shipped - 01 April(not April fools joke)

    All 9.8s

jealous, mine have been in the QC phase for about 4 or 5 days now. I stopped keeping track haha

Good luck. I guess not counting any con days this went 16 business days from received to shipping. So not too bad.

  6. I've even talked to graders a few days or a few weeks after grading a book and they have no idea which book I'm talking about.

I'd liken it to working in a grocery store and trying to remember what all the people looked like last week. The odd person might jog your memory if they looked like an Action #1 but for the most part, it's a blur.

I'm curious how long some posters think CGC graders spend on a book. 12 seconds? 20?

Some of the posts seem like they imagine Graders do extensive CSI type investigative exams.

I'd think it depends on the book. I'd venture a guess and say 30-60 seconds. Some more, some less depending on era, grade, resto, etc.

I hope they are well paid for that one minutes work.

No salary quoted but they have had a job opening on their website for as long as I can remember - http://www.cgccomics.com/about/careers.asp

    "CGC is hiring:

Tnerb, who spends most his time on the journals applied and went through the process. He wasn't hired though.

I have no idea but have wondered this a lot.

  8. Giving this some serious thought, I honestly don't think I will ever be a dealer, but would be a lot of fun being a CAW
You do know that you can't witness any books that you want graded. (shrug)
Yeah I can't believe none of us said that. If you are a CAW then you cannot witness the signatures on any of your books. So if you are the only CAW at a show then your books cannot be done.

I would think this is a common sense thing. I never "knew" for sure but figured this would be how its done. If it wasn't, it'd be a huge conflict of interest. Plus I'd figure the boards here would have a really long complaint thread about it.

  9. As a follow up to the commissions I paid Ale for that he lied about to me over and over again...

    - Ale's wife send me a piece of "consolation" art (after lying just once about shipping it).

I sold it to get most of my money back from this failed commission.

If you get ripped off buying art commissions from Ale Garza, please don't say you weren't warned.

Wow to this whole thread! Glad you were able to recoup most of your money.
