That the latest on gpa? Most 2.0 offerings for X-men #1 are 10k plus.

Bought two books from Thomas' donation in the DJpinkpanther thread. Books arrived exactly as described, safely packed in a USPS box, with cardboard around the books and packing material inside. Thanks for a pleasant transaction.

The books are signed by Pete and Kev on the indica. Notes say "Kevin B. Eastman" and "Peter Laird" written on inside. which is how CGC treats signatures on the inside of the book.

What grade are you looking for? I'm pretty sure I have a few copies of 53 and 55.

Yup, and it doesn’t really tie into the turtles until book 5 and then after 7 I don’t think we see him again until the idw series. So until rather recently fugioid didn’t have a huge connection to the turtles universe.

Key for me is that it introduces something integral to the universe. So for the turtles, #1, #2, Raph #1 are your CORE keys. Why? Because basically every major Turtles character premiers there. You have Splinter, Shredder, Leo, Mike, Raph, and Don, April, and Casey. Then you have your major keys. TMNT Archie #1 (first Krang, Bebop, Rocksteady, since they became integral to the concept of the TMNT universe, even though there first TRUE appearance is in the cartoon Ala Harley Quinn and BA 12). Then your minor keys (TMNT #10, TMNT 19-21, TMNT 51-62) why? because they're important stories and major art by Kev and Pete, but not as important because they're not universally understood by any TMNT fan. Then you get Flash keys that get hot for some weird reason (why do people suddenly care about Space Usage, don't get that but whatever).

My 9.0 looks just as nice as a 9.8 lol. Ive seen and held them. They only "wow" factor is the value and price. I've seen low grades that look nicer than high grades and vice versa. Honestly, the only time I'm wowed by ultra high grade is GA books. Because back then NOONE collected. So that a book came off the newsstand and lasted 60+ years in such high grade is amazing. A 9.8 Copper book is kinda like "well ya, I expect that".

depends on the grade. A 9.2 verse a 9.8 requires intense scrutiny to figure out the difference. A 6.5 verse a 9.8 is not hard to tell at all.

Just spoke to HA. Probably will be removed within 12 hours. Edited to add: They just sent me an email saying they've removed the book from auction.

I put a call into Cgc and heritage to deal with this. Hopefully ha will pull the book and Cgc will add some type of notation like “could be first or second printing” or refuse to blue label them.
