So yes, there are only 210 of them in human existence, from now until the end of time.

The NYCC print run was a little over 60.

The San Diego Ashcans? Those were only about 35.

Chris is not selling FG art because he wants to have high-res scans of it all archived. We have been hustling week to week to get everything done, so he hasn't had time. He simply wants to have a really complete, high-res digital archive before he loses the art--so don't fret. He will have it for sale eventually!

Hope to see some of you guys at C2E2 this weekend if you're around! We'll be at table F4!

Five Ghosts #3. In Stores May 22nd.

Has a lot of the mythology and answers it sounds like a lot of people are waiting for, so I think you'll definitely want to get your hands on it!

There are a few ashcans out there as well. Definitely very, very rare--the two I did had some pinups in the back and had unlettered, black & white pages in the back. I really can't remember how few of these I had...might be something a little crazy like 30 or so.

Sorry I can't be more precise! I think they were mainly given out/sold at SDCC last year.

Not to be trolling, but I wanted to clarify some speculation:

I printed 210 copies of the ECCC variant. I gave Chris about 3, gave some to my family, and sold two unnumbered.

At the show I believe I sold two "stacks" of unnumbered issues (10 in a stack). Then only a few people asked me not to number them. I"m guessing there are about 35-40 unnumbered in the wild. That's it.

The "crown jewel" of rare Five Ghosts stuff is going to be the self-released version from NYCC. This version is distinguishable by NOT HAVING THE BLUE CIRCLE WITH ONE OF FIVE, being "oversized" and on yellowish/newsprint paper. There were only about 60 of these. I don't even have one!

Hope that clarifies! If anyone has questions, let me know. Chris and I will be appearing at C2E2 together at a table, and if you're in NJ, I'll be at the Asbury Park Comic Con this weekend (Saturday the 30th).

Thanks again for your excitement and interest in the book! I'd recommend picking up a second printing of #1 on April 17th as it's a low print run and has an exclusive cover!

Guys, thank you so much to everyone who came out over the last few days. Your support really means the world.

Larry is an absolute sweet heart who love comics and speaks his mind. Much love to him for his support and having us out.

Also to Ernie at Friendly Neighborhood Comics and Chris at Double Midnight. You guys all have amazing stores and NECRA is even more amazing than I thought.

Also, lots and lots of appreciation to Lionel at New World Manga. I shopped at that store for near 15 years and it really grew my love for comics and retailers who actually give a damn.

Thanks to everyone who is talking up the book! We promise we have really amazing stuff in store and will do our damndest to keep this book coming out...I'll be posting some cool stuff from issue two leading up to release.

Now I need to sleep...just drove back from New England and need get back to work on Five Ghosts tomorrow!

Second printing information!

We will be going for legacy numbering as that seems to be "all the rage" .

Honestly, we will do this book as long as we have an audience.

We have a lot of stories we want to tell in this world, and as long as we have people who care, we will do them.

Hopefully not a bit too premature, but we'll definitely be pushing to keep the issues coming after we wrap 5.
