1st full appearance, nice and clean and neat.....that label for CM 17 2nd seemed like it was desperately trying to justify it's existence. Someone said a few pages back that this is equivalent to a RRP. Paul, buddy, maybe you need to get CGC to add "Low print run as per CGC message board member Paul747" I'm starting to think you have a comprehension issue.

This was my initial post and opinion. All i wanted was some more info on the second print and to get the tricky first appearances sorted out. it did not make sense. The attitude is from all of the bashing of this book or that book. no offense !

I think you mean: CM14 < ANMN1 < CM17/2nd Not in my opinion - I know CM17/2 is $corching right now, but as far as significance... I just don't get it. Unless I'm mistaken or missing something - it's not Unnamed-Person's first appearance, not even in cameo (that's CM14). It's not the first time the name "Kamala Khan" ever appeared in comics and while in costume too (that's ANMN1). I just don't get all the hoopla about "Unnamed-Person's first appearance on a cover". But to each his own... collect what you enjoy and enjoy what you collect! Captain marvel 17 2nd predates ANMN as well.. That's why you don't get it.

I am fine with it and agree its first full. preview or not... CM #17 2nd has merit as well and is KEY. pre-dates the point one. The 4 books all have merit ! I just don't like it when someone is putting down an apparent Key instead of recognizing it !

I don't doubt that the price of CM 17 2nd will stay strong because speculators will keep moving copies amongst themselves - if a young collector (mostly with limited income) wants to go at it, more power to them. When I was a young collector, I also wanted THE book. I'm just glad that my common sense prevailed and I'm able to enjoy this hobby stress free. CM 17 2nd is definitely a desirable book but why overpay when you can get a nice first full appearance in ANMN at a much affordable price? Maybe I'm just naive to think that collecting in a sustainable manner is very much alive. What copies?. And in case you have not read hulk 180 it's a one page ...panel cameo with a word bubble.. It's a good analogy. Your common sense is clearly not common.

Cover first appearences... always.. Yes every single time... MATTER in collectors eyes. If Kamala continues her climb in popularity CM 17 2nd will look cheap. Hulk #180 is getting expensive , could you even imagine if Wolverine was on the cover? If he was and had the back page cameo, I think history would be different for hulk 181. Time will tell. Teaser book? 1st ever real look ...check.....great cover...check... Powers...check...original artist...check.. Point one is a preview book ... No that's the teaser.. it is first story.(important) So the new "CGC" lable for Captain Marvel 17 2nd print should read... Pre-dates Ms Marvel #1 and All new point one preview...... If your in need of the lable for verification of what your collecting.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Spelling errors noted. Either way I do agree that Kamala is a throwback to the original marvel days of real creation and I hope they keep her on that path. Real fun to read and I am a fan.

She IS on the cover Nope....again.. She is on the regular cover not the variant. I think you need to go look at the books we are debating about. Get a real good look at the CM17 2nd while your out there. I think my comic shop will have some good pics... Just playing man I know your solid but jeez do some leg work.

Nope....I have many point ones... CM 17 2nd print Is the first cover man and the cameo. I know you don't want to pay the price to grab one and that's cool but keep the facts straight . Don't be a hater ... I'll take all 4 and point one will never ever be half as rare as this tricky 2nd print. The point one variant and the 17 2nd are the best two period.

Just looks like the listing ended, not that it sold. Best Offer sold for: $1,675.00. Double what the last 9.4 sold for less than 6 months ago. crazy!

All of this talk and nothing changes period... ebay sellers are full of ... Showcase #30 -great cover and try-out issue (one of multiple retelling of origin,not first silver age) key book if your collecting the showcase run or a fan of Aquaman) Adventure #260 is the first silver age origin ONLY of Aquaman. I dont like the cover ! Aquaman #1 first solo title ... that's it ! Argue if needed but as stated before this is all these books are. If i could not get my hands on a More Fun the next book i would grab (pre-movie hype) would be Showcase #30 !

I don't think Mr Hoknes is doing Pulitzer worthy investigative work, but, conveinience wise, I certainly don't mind reading an aggregate of the information out there. I find it useful and check it out, too. The danger is lots of it goes un-updated for months--and newcomers might think that info is still up to date...and some of it is very not. if you're trying to win the flip game, but you're not keeping up to date with current trends and/or you're using JUST THAT SITE for your flip info, you're going to lose the flip game either way. Its a nice quick tool, he's not claiming to break news, and doesn't appear to be obviously trying to profit on that site from selling the same books he says are hot. .....also almost every book he has listed as hot, he owns.. recently a lot of them he is trying to sell for way less than his site lists their HOT prices at.. he does do some work and i check it out from time to time . he definitely does not update with current price info on previously listed books , he just adds new ones.

showcase 30 is a key because I own it and your going to cause a crash J ! all it takes is a little board gossip.. Really... I thought it was his first ever ... mess I got hosed...
