  1. Recent Halloween themed pickup and would appreciate thoughts on possible grade. Will be cleaned and pressed.
  2. Also found this website, far from complete, but still a good resource: Marvel Multi-Mags, A Bronze Age Overview
  3. Recent pick up of these Marvel 3 packs which are en-route to me. I wondered if anyone here has seen these before, as well as what issues likely in each. In particular, the Amazing Spider-Man set interests me, it has #251 visible, so really hoping there is an ASM #252 behind it.
  4. Quick update. Books arrived in the correct holders, so it appears that whilst the official CGC scans are (still) incorrect, thankfully they caught it before sending out.
  5. And finally I'm in; and a UK Price Variant to boot
  6. Thanks Mike. Can you advise if I need to post 50+ in specific forum or in general? If the latter, then I should qualify but am not seeing the thread.
  7. Has anyone attempted to catalogue all the available vintage 2/3 book multipacks?
  8. How about this one folks, the good old wrong book in the wrong slab edition.
  9. I had ten books in my submission and now I'm really worried that if they are included in this batch. They were really high grade copies of early Art Adams books (Classic X-Men 1, X-Men Annual 10, Batman 700, Longshot) and certainly not blank covers. I'm now convinced these once high grade books will come back in less than ideal condition. I thought the whole point of this was that all the signings happened at CGC offices and were watched over by CGC. I'm particularly unimpressed that books are essentially not in CGC's care. This situation is getting worse and worse.
  10. Signing sessions usually include remarques as well; so really there shouldn't have been any confusion. I think @melanrus makes a good point; CGC should keep their customers informed if something changes relating to a signing. If I'd have known there would have been a lengthy delay like this I would have considered having my books remarqued at a con instead (in fact, I am at Baltimore Comic Con this weekend and Art Adams is here). Something similar happened with the original Eastman signing and that equally upset a number of CGC customers. Overall this is pretty poor form; if I happen to bump into Brittany or Matt will likely mention, so they can consider and hopeful improve for the future.
  11. Slightly better of my two copies that I'm considering for submission and possible signing by Al Milgrom. Appreciate thoughts on grade. Will be submitting with clean and press prior.
  12. Just spoke to customer service on one of my extended magazine submissions and was told they are delayed due to lack of "parts." So after almost a year, CGC still seems plagued with issues of "no parts" when it comes to magazine submissions. What is going on in Sarasota? Surely they can order enough slabs to keep their core business running?
  13. Hi @CGC Mike, thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I rang customer service today to find out when my books would be coming. I was told that the remarques haven't been done and the process hasn't even started yet This is incredibly disappointing and frustrating.
  14. Got this back recently with the following Graders Notes: spine stress lines light wear all edges of cover small tear & pieces out left bottom of back cover Unfortunately, it wasn't get cleaned or pressed prior grading as CCS advised that they were unable to press and clean the book due to its size (they later refunded me). Still happy with the grade, but am wondering if I should resubmit when C&P'ed by someone able to do it with a book this size (any suggestions?).
  15. Didn't submit via CGC in the end due to the signature (didn't want to get green qualified label). I won't post an image, but the book came back a 8.5 with the following notes: light spine, edge & corner wear some breaks color minor creasing middle spine front cover partially breaks color light tanning to spine & cover edges Perhaps most importantly, Stan's Signature was verified.
  16. Managed to find another UK price variant of this key (my previous copy managed a 9.0). Appreciate your thoughts on the grade, any chance this one might grade higher? As always will be cleaned and pressed.
  17. Another nice surprise with this nice rare UK pence variant in a recent mail call. Will be cleaned (so that pencil 30 is removed from the back cover) and pressed prior.
  18. Being based out of Australia, it takes a while for the books to arrive, so I always check the grades beforehand. The addition of the scans has been brilliant as I can review the books prior to having in hand now too.
  19. I appreciate your thoughts on the grade for this GOTG key; I was pleasantly surprised with the condition when it arrived in a recent mail call. Will be submitted with clean and press prior.
  20. Recent surprise UKPV pick-up; considering submission with clean and press. Appreciate your thoughts on the possible grade.
  21. Another for forums thoughts on grade, especially noting that it has some overspray ink and the miswrap/cut. Considering having signed by Jim Starlin and cleaned/pressed by CCS/CGC when submitting.
  22. Final X-Men today for your grade consideration, again another UK Price Variant. Planning a clean and press prior to signing by Chris Claremont and submission.
  23. Second X-Men for your grade consideration, this time a UK Price Variant. Planning a clean and press prior to signing by Chris Claremont and submission.
