  1. Kudos and big thanks to sfrenchenterprise for getting some of my X-Force books signed by Clayton Crain and Chris Yost at Rose City Comic Con and for helping me get a painted remark from Crain on the issue 23 variant. These were 9.8 blue labels that he cracked out and all maintained their grade.
  2. Really, really excited to add the original painting used for All-New Wolverine #1 variant cover by Keron Grant to my X-23 art collection. http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=1272381&GSub=168629
  3. Two years, two commissions from Gabriele Dell'otto, two X-23s, two killer pieces. http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=1266192 (This was the first one, from 2013): http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1060538
  4. Heh, I see that I posted back at the start of this thread and at the time I didn't really have enough covers to make a meaningful top 5. Now it's really difficult to narrow things down to just 5. Here's my best effort today, in no particular order: Gabriele Dell'otto: Jay Anacleto: Stanley "Artgerm" Lau: J.G. Jones: Chris Stevens: Obviously, X-23 is my favorite character as you can tell and my collection focus has narrowed down to just her over time. So I used that as an excuse to filter out this Domino cover by Conny Valentina, which would otherwise be in my top 5: Some other honorable mentions because I feel bad leaving them out and on another day they might be in my top 5: Leinil Yu: Gerald Parel: Two companion pieces by Natali Sanders, was tempted to put the X-23 in my top 5 but they sort of belong together and I couldn't afford 2 spots in the top 5: Natali turned those into prints, which was pretty cool: Finally, some team/multicover books: Clay Mann: Daniel Govar: Ryan Pasibe: Okay, I'll stop now, this is getting out of hand. There's lots more awesome covers that I love but haven't shown off here, you can find most of them in my CAF gallery if you want to see more.
  5. Oh my Crain, that's awesome. Congrats!
  6. I'd like to give some big kudos to Mike (Mr. Mylar). Within a span of a few days I've had two killer painted sketch cover commissions done courtesy of board opps he's run. First up was this stunning X-23 by Gabriele Dell'otto, shortly followed by a wonderful X-Force X-23 by Gerald Parel. Couldn't be happier with the results. Thanks, Mike! While I'm posting, also want to give kudos and thanks to Doug/dscott for getting me awesome art pretty much every month.
  7. I've been trying to get a cover done by Clayton for a while now. Unfortunately (for me) he mostly attends west coast cons and so he doesn't cross paths much with dscott, which makes it hard to arrange. Fingers crossed that Joel brings good news. I'll definitely keep trying, either way!
  8. I have a few statues/figures, and although they're more movie-related than comic book related I thought I could share some photos all the same. The Batman, Joker and Terminator are 1/4 scale posable figures made by Enterbay. The Sucker Punch girls are 1/4 scale statues by Gentle Giant. I also have a few Dollfie Dreams, which are Japanese anime-style BJDs (ball-jointed dolls), which are basically 1/3 scale posable figures/dolls. Click image to enlarge.
  9. Nice coloring on the Gambit! By the way, Andy, these showed up from CGC a little while ago. Thanks again!
  10. Incredible Cheung, but then he always delivers. Grats!
  11. I've only been collecting sketch covers for a couple of months so a top 5 equals about half my collection. I have several more covers in the works, though, so hopefully I can make a more meaningful top 5 next time. For now I'll just show off these: Conny Valentina Absolutely love the face on this Domino. EVS (Photo crops out a bit of the top of the cover, sadly, but I have to wait for it to finish at CGC before I can show something better.) I really like how he depicted the Phoenix perched on her shoulder and her relaxed pose sitting on a bed of fire roses with the fire effect billowing around her. The rest of my current top 5 would be filled out with Dooney covers from my sig, but picking which ones would be like choosing a favorite child. They're all favorites
