  1. Hoping a press can help this one out, the crinkles are mostly non color breaking. Overall nice shape outside of that. What do you think it would grade after a professional press?
  2. Thanks guys. I was thinking 4.5 due to all the spine wear and corner creases. I'd be very happy with a 5 to 5.5 though
  3. Thinking about sending this in, wondering what sort of grade I can expect? Thanks!!
  4. You think it could still get a blue 4.0 once missing that piece? I'd be ok with that. What would the restored grade be? A purple 7.0? 6.5 maybe?
  5. Yeah I'm thinking maybe I'd have to use an xacto blade and cut the added piece out, leaving the tape there. I assume that would get a blue label w a notation saying tape on interior cover
  6. So this one has a piece added w tape on backside of front cover, no other restoration. Curious what the restored grade would be, and also what the blue label grade would be if I choose to remove the tape and the added piece?
  7. Looks to be sealed ok from what I can tell. Guess I won't worry about it then.
  8. Never seen this before, just bought a 2.0 ff4 and there looks to be dust/dirt smudges on the inner well by the spine? Should I be concerned with tampering?
  9. Prob lower grade but solid, presents well. Some staining back cover and last page (not on other pages). Small tear around the "t" in fantastic on front cover.
  10. Decent shape, some wear upper right corner. Maybe around mid grade?
  11. Overall pretty nice I think, kinda soiled, but structurally sound
  12. Overall a nice looking book, but has a few small dings that I'm afraid might prevent it from being high grade. Curious to get some opinions. Wondering if this may benefit from a press, but not sure if it would even be worth it or not.
  13. Thanks guys, stain is just bc, doesn't go to interior pages at all. Didn't realize the stain would detract that much! Oh well, got this pretty cheap at a show about 7-8 years ago, so mid grade I can live with.
  14. Pence copy, pretty nice overall, some tanning on right front cover and a stain of some sort middle-ish back cover
  15. General wear. Some moisture stains on bottom staple and back cover
  16. I was thinking around a 2.0, so sounds about right. Thanks guys
  17. Picked up this pence copy a number of years back and was thinking of sending it in for grading. An obvious flaw is the big piece missing on the back cover, not sure how much that will lower it. But besides that, some general wear here and there, still attached at both staples (cf too), and there is some rust on bottom staple. Thanks guys!
  18. Oh man, that doesnt sound good. But thanks for the intel bud
  19. Just bought a Hulk 181 purple label 6.5 (c1 slight color touch) and cracked it to see about getting the restoration removed. I was a little surprised to open it and not see a sealed inner well? The comic was just floating between 2 pieces of plastic. I've never seen this before when cracking a book in the past, so I'm hoping this one wasnt tampered with or anything. Was there a change away from the inner well semi recently?
  20. So I've got a pgx sig series book signed by stan lee. From what I read here, that can get either a cgc blue or green label if re-graded. Is this correct? Not sure what determines the label color though. Does the submitter decide if he wants the "full" cgc grade with a qualified green label , vs a blue label with points detracted for "writing on cover"? Or is that up to the cgc grader to decide based on whatever criteria? Thanks for any info you guys can provide!
