  1. Issue 5 - Cover by the great Earl Norem - cover has 4 color breaking creases along the spine, impact ding on bottom left corner and crease on bottom right corner. 7.5/8.0 $15.00
  2. Issue 3 - another beautiful Boris cover. Front cover has 5 small color breaking creases, small color breaking crease top right corner - a press will help the cover....but not the back. Back unfortunately has foxing, bring this book down to a 4 Asking $10.00
  3. Magazines have been picking up steam around here so it's as good as time as any to find these beautiful books a new home. TOTZ was a short lived series but a very memorable one, especially due to the amazing covers by Boris Vallejo. Issue 2 - 2nd Appearance of Brother Voodoo with a classic Boris cover. Also has memorial to Bill Everett, original artist of The Zombie way back in Menace 5 in 1953. Minor corner wear bottom left cover, 1 color breaking crease below top staple, small indention about 2" below Voodoo Island which can probably be pressed out, small stress marks around the other staples but none break color. 9.0/9.2 Really solid copy. $50.00

  5. How were you able to work the deal outside eBay? I thought they "closed" the loophole to message sellers for their email address or telephone number?
  6. Believe me - I wish hadn't passed on so many pages over the last 10-15 years when they were relatively cheap.
  7. I was lucky to own this beautiful splash page from issue 14 for many, many years until I sold it last year to another boardie. I truly loved this page and I do have a bit of seller's remorse but I do take comfort in that it went to a fellow Godzilla lover who will cherish it every bit that I did.
  8. It would be very beneficial if everyone reported to GPA - would make things a lot easier to keep track of. Like this, we all end up having to play detective to find non GPA sales.
  9. Final bid on the ASM 28 9.2 was $7811.00 - a whopping 47% over the GPA high @Sweet Lou 14 - looking like it will quite hard for us to get the grades we desire. Another book I bid on and got outbid at the last second was ASM annual 1 CGC 9.0 - which sold for $9301.00 - another price that surprised me. I guess ASM is still the king even in COVID times.
  10. Was planning on making strong bid on this book Tuesday but it's already almost at $7000.00 - $1600.00 over the GPA high. Not a perfect copy with so much white showing at the spine yet it is at silly money.
  11. +1 - the list of things to pay cash for is a large one - home renovations being a huge one, land scaping, comics or other OA. Everyone is clamoring for a cashless society yet many value cash, especially now with lots of fraud, hacking and email scams.
  12. I would say DD 1 because it’s a first appearance of a great hero. Avengers 1 has no 1st appearances and FF and X-Men 1 had already debuted more important “team” books to MCU
  13. I’m still waiting for ASM 14 to catch/surpass ASM 3. Sure 3 is an “earlier” issue, but GG has more overall importance in the Marvel Universe. 14 has closed the gap in recent years - maybe this will be the year it surpasses 3.
  14. Very happy to have won this tonight on CL Just a beautiful copy
  15. 60 cents? That won’t happen. Yes a large part of our economy is tied to oil and gas but the Federal Government won’t allow it to drop that low. We import more than we export and with things looking gloomy for the next 6-12 months because of Covid, a 60 cent dollar would devastate the economy - even more than it is now.
  16. So many pages to go through so I will make this easy ( I hope it's easy ) any Conan and King Conan/Conan the King in 9.4 if any are left
  17. I know there are plenty of bad SS books out there but this one really boggles the mind. Not 1 but 2 signatures of people who did not work on the book. While I understand they were probably paid to sign the book and figure what do I care what I sign as long as I get paid it still makes me shake my head. Joe Jusko and Roy Thomas on ASM 39
  18. A little under 4 hours remain. Nobody interested?
  19. Around 30 hours left. Will anyone break the ice?
