  1. We don't know how much time difference there is between them being in the pit and the Gov standing alone outside the prison walls at the end of the last episode, i.e., "now".

He might be the only one left from that group.

I don't think the Gov is a "do it yourself" kinda guy. If he's back, rest assured he's got an army with him.

Agreed. I still think that the little skirmish last season wasn't the real prison attack. I think the full on assault led by the Governor will happen this year.

  2. This thread has great real-time relevant news with respect to this project. I am not trying to take away from that or what is. But given in my social network I have virtually no one to discuss comic stuff with I just had a random thought when coming across this thread. Maybe it will strike an accord with a few folks, but do any of you think that the lead character from the t.v. show person of interest would have not made a great Batman & Bruce Wayne? Still looking forward to this film and the updates here. Thanks.

  3. Agreed. You can look at how Arrow is traversing the waters of the DC Universe right now. That show uses known characters and in a good way. AOS has yet to do that. The problem of the week writing is doing the show no favors either. Other than Coulson's trip to Tahiti, "It's a magical place!" (thumbs u ,there's been no real overall story arch to grasp onto.

  4. Anyone else think . . .

Carol will be joining up with the Governor? (shrug)

Maybe, but I see it as a "not of her own free will" thing. Say, the gov. finds her in the middle of an attack and saves her. Or he just plain kidnaps her somehow.

I think they have a similar mind-set, so I don't see a kid-napping. I think he's got a plant in the prison (the rat person) and she could join with him to attempt to go after the girls. Maybe last year's attack on the prison was a red herring and the real attack happens this season.

With Bruce, Martinez, Carol and Phillip himself?! (shrug) Maybe they did some recruiting.

    Perhaps . . .

when Bob was discussing his previous groups with Daryl and the fact that he's now on his third group, he wasn't referring to the prison group, but the fact that the Governor has been doing some recruiting. (shrug)

  6. So...Black Canary pegs Oliver as The Arrow within seconds of meeting him, and yet Officer Lance, Laurel, Thea remain clueless.

I think you may have jumped ahead here, from this episode we know Sara/Canary saw Oliver while he was on the island or at least while he was captured. They have yet to reveal how much of his new archery skills she was privy to before they each made it back to the modern world. That could play a big factor into why she knew who he was so easily.

I'm surprised they've allowed them to use the League of Shadows, given that Smallville wasn't ever allowed to even mention Batman/Bruce Wayne or anything having to do with that part of the DC Universe.

  7. I think your two viewpoints are easy enough to reconcile. Does it help the profile the profile of certain key art when its known to be owned by a prominent collector with the ability to spend money? I think it does. It certainly doesn't hurt, that's for sure.

On the other hand, I think even Gene would tell you that not everything he has bought has been a "savvy" purchase (who among us can say that anyways, and I'm sure "savvy buys" aren't his main goal either).

    He can.
