  1. BTW, I got mine from Royal Collectibles in Queens I can't praise Mike, Chuck (dad & son), Steve, Diane and Chelle enough.. They always hook me up. Like, always
  2. I would say no..... Goodwill with regular customers goes a long way. bingo...all went to reg subscriber/pull list customers that don't normally order but wanted off the rack (not off the street folks)...just those that support us week in and week out.... I spend a lot of money in LCS, and this week had stores sell me the DV3 variant for 11.99 and one offer it to me at $75 (after I called them them to hold one for me, they bayed it), guess which stores i will shop at Is this in the NYC area (I ask because of your user name)? If so, which stores? I thought he was in Astoria Queens also
  3. Always? Since 2011 there were 6 sales at or above 150.00 Thats what i meant
  4. I just caught that myself the other day.. prolly because its an InfinityX-over
  5. My point is this was always a 150.00 book in 9.8... Wayyyy before the false rumor. The rumor just made people aware of this book is what really happened here. I think it's safe to say that this will now always be a key book. Not an EOSV#2, but still a key nonetheless
  6. You missed the money train for UF4 by a few weeks to a month because moderns are a fickle market. But you may cash in when it circles back around again Unbag. Press. Submit. 9.8 is still a 100-150 book Last 7 sales in 9.8. Still seems like a good book return on slabbed hg copies. $335 $200 $165 $150 $115 $120 $148 That is all attributed to that false rumour of Miles being "the next Spider-Man" in the MCU. Once that was debunked the book reverted back to its prior form. Icing the book until at least secret wars comes out may not be a bad play. -J. This is from 2 days ago.. The Morales rumor train has been long gone since before that sale was had

  8. 100% This. A work for hire, or contract artist or writer isn't going to create something for Disney or Warner Brothers unless they are directed to. Hence the need to diversify already existing superheroes. Those superheroes are already successful concepts. There's only so many super strong, flying or animal themed superheroes that readers will accept these days. Deadpool and Harley are recent exceptions because they have unique personality hooks, but the majority of new characters are usually met with a general 'meh' from readers. yes and no I made the point earlier that spider gwen would have been great if she was released on, say, archie (even though not creator controlled, but just for this example sake lets assume she wouldve been), so say archie came with a female crime fighting vigilante whos a rocker by day and targeted at a younger female demographic, written/drawn by Latour & Robbi.. It is my belief that this would still take off. But it wouldnt be as popular as Spider-Gwen.. For obvious reasons. Now. The doors that just opened up to the creative team behind Spider gwen are waaaaaay bigger than if they wouldve done it with someone smaller. Again. Because of the properties owned by marvel. The same is with any popular character. Deadpool, Harley, etc etc Sometimes when a creative force is behind a popular book/character that works to their benefit because of the other opportunities that will arise from that book's popularity.. Alan Moore doesnt own watchmen but that book catapulted him to another level. Same with Miller/Dark Knight.. DC and marvel brought these creators talent to light in a way that no other comic publication could. And it was because of their copy written IP that it was possible.
  9. Sold all 3 DV3 variants.. Great profit margin.. Made a small fortune on these So why am I regretting it now
  10. You know your busienss better than I do, but I cant help but ask - arent yuo worried the hype will die by then? BTW I secured 3 Vader variants and sold 2 already.. This is a TMNT44 repeat with those
  11. My LCS told me the same thing.. They only got 3 copies cause at least half the shipment had a print defect/error and they were called back (notice I didnt use the "R" word) and never made the stores.. They will get their next week Meantime I noticed there are already 2nd prints on the Bay Strange
  12. So I was doing my taxes this morning and I txtd my gf to check and see if there are any DV#3 at her LCS.. She sent me this pic I told her to get me 3 just for and grins.. ... By the time I got out of work they were all out
  13. Everytime someone shows a comic book/magazine stand or a rack they found I ALWAYS think of that Seinfeld episode where Kramer finds the Merv Griffin studio set dont know why Either way - nice pick!
  14. Could be Indy of the year.. A couple of my variants are ltd to 50 Nice tribute to Big Black.. One of my fave punk albums
  15. #2 was released 2 weeks ago, I would imagine a much lower print run but who knows.. It already has a 2nd print coming
  16. You're referring to the porn sites right? Ha! actually he's right.. most of these sites just have tons of ads and radioactive spiders crawling into your computer the second you log into them.. Comic book realm never loads up properly on my computer. I think Milehigh is the way to go if you wanna check prices for bulk books, it really loads up quick and its a breeze to scroll through..
  17. Tomorrow is going to be crazy.. 144 new titles in stores.. My LCS told me they havent had so many in awhile.. Also, is there some sort of a recall for Hulk #13? Dont wanna get anyone to panic, but my LCS told me he sent the remaining ones for replacement since they had some print defect on the cover.. Did anyone hear anything about that?
  18. not to sound like a broken record (pun intended), but Spider Gwen record is still on fire Hardly any listings on the bay
  19. Chuck's site is sooooo 70s looking I know, right? Those 70's websites. Man, I remember the first one I ever visited: the Sesame Street website. It was 4 bit, so Big Bird looked like Pac-Man! And Bert and Ernie were playing Pong the whole time! I just got word that Chuck's site has been designed soon after the Enigma code was cracked Laugh all you want. They upgraded fairly recently to add a working search (the old one was terrible). It's much better to navigate now. Actually heres something y'all get a kick out of.. I used to use Milehigh all the time as reference for pricing lolololol OK, not exactly.. But heres how it worked for me.. Say I'd get a lot of 300 Archie Bronze comics which I was absolutely clueless about.. I'd go to Milehigh and look them up. The ones that stick up higher in price than others would be the ones I would look up on eBay and price accordingly.. Because Chuck's website is soooo old, its actually much easier to navigate through, since there's no flash or spam or other things that slow down my PC..Try and do the same with comic book realm and It'll take all day.. Milehigh's website used to show ALL books and their pricing, regardless if they have it or not.. But as of 2 years ago that has changed and now they only show the books they carry in stock Try Advanced Search. It shows out-of-stock books, too. Yup. Youre right. Thanks! Back to Milehigh it is (thumbs u
  20. Im pretty sure thats all gonna change by tomorrow, but still, no harm in getting a couple for cover toorrow
