I don't think its a matter of "super-hero fatigue" as much as it is a matter of "reboot fatigue". Marvel cut titles around 7 issues or so, cancelled, then rebooted those same titles (a few with no or virtually no changes.) Silk was selling well, now not so much. Spider-Gwen was selling well, now not so much. Now D.C. will be doing a reboot, although not so much for a flood of #1 issues as it is to correct what they got wrong with New 52. Hopefully it will be perceived as a positive reboot, but only time & the market will tell. +1

Have you seen what kinda numbers some indie creators get on KS for some of these titles? Kickstarter used to be a place where you had to go with a serious campaign and followers in order to raise funds to publish a book. Nowadays KS is a powerhouse with 100s of thousands of visitors who do NOTHING but search for cool comics to buy, much like they do at your LCS.. Here are some of the biggest ones CTR+ALT+DLT 660k Tomorrow Girl 530k girl genius 380k Ava's Demon 330k Mind you these are COMIC BOOKS that people read and will probably never get a mention over here or similar collectors forums. This is a 100% reader's market with 0% speculative aspect. Pointing out a few stars among overwhelming odds isn't a good business model. When Five Ghosts comes back it'll have more exposure on the shelves as well as online staying with image. You got all day? Not to dismiss this list of most money collected from a kickstarter or gofundme etc etc projects here but most of them the masses have never heard about and probably never will. Just because someone can raise some cash for a project doesn't equal success just like having a book at Image doesn't equal success. The odds are always higher yet sometimes things do succeed and become popular.

Anyone with a brain knows those books have been bought by mostly BY PUMPERS before the hyped up web post. I mean this is getting desperate. Amen brotha !! I've asked this before and I think I got a response from you as to something like "you can tell the pump & dumpers". How are you supposed to talk about comics you like and not be considered a pump & dumper? The Tron variants have sold pretty well for a while depending on the cover. The ASM has been pretty consistently over $50. So true. Any book that gets talked about get essentially getting 'pumped', I mean look at this thread title. By that logic, anyone whose posted a book in this thread is a pumper no different than CBSI. Jerome I think there is a BIG difference! It is obvious that whoever wrote that "interest piece on the Tron variants" was loading up for the last month or 2 for the double $ flip ,once the news article was released ! that's bad pool no matter how you look at it ! mentioning a book and talking about it or linking to a couple of recent sales is not the same as obvious blatant market manipulation. If that was the stock market those guys are doing time ! So if you invest some money in a book you think might get hot and then news breaks about it you can't say anything? Hmm where has Capitalism gone folks. Google insider trading Nate Vegas. And if you are the one investing in the book about to get hot because you know about the news thats not capitalism that's manipulation ! Huh? I was speaking in general. Lets take for example the image book Lazarus for instance. I bought it initially and enjoyed it so much I bought some more way way way....YEARS before it was optioned. Buying something in groups or singles when it comes out is not insider trading. Everything is a gamble, even life.

Fall is still awhile away, but I will look forward to any good news. This book has an excellent creative team and I will buy future issues whenever they come out. Me too.
