TWD TV SHOW--Offical Discussion Thread

+1 I like this analysis. I think Negan was on the Glenn side when he mentions about Carl's eye and there is a brief shoulder sway to the right (i.e direction of Carl) -

That is not how it was shot according to Kirkman and a few actors on the Talking Dead show. That last 10 minute scene took several hours to film and they wanted to get each actor's moment just right. In fact JDM said many of the cast wouldn't look him in the eye till after the shoot. -

I can see why they did it after watching Talking Dead. Gimple basically said as soon as Lucille dropped and the tension before it did the story arc of Rick & company was ended He said everything after that moment is a new world for them. In a way I can see where that makes perfect sense. Just like when that season ended with Rick & company at Terminus getting locked up in the train car. They had defeated looks on their faces and Rick basically said they messed with the wrong people. The next season was everything after that key moment. -

I don't care anymore. This comes from a day one, year one, issue one walking dead reader and fan. Screw this show. Screw this show, brought to you by Subway and shopthewalkingdead.com and Pontiac and blah, blah, blah. I'm pretty pizzed at the creative team for the decision. I've got loads and loads of other TV shows and movies vying for my time. I don't need one that's so insulting of my intelligence. The dumpster should have been the last insult to our collective intelligence. They got away with it and got more brazen in lowering the characters IQs to fit the pisspoor storytelling and plotting. Then this "biggest loser/survivor/reality show gimmick" garbage as a cheap ratings grab by a show that, at its best, owned the ratings without gimmicks. Shows a distinct lack of faith in the material and the ability to tell the same quality of stories. I watched something I've loved for over a decade turn to dust in my hands. There are plenty more to add to your list of hate that were hit shows at their time that used the cliffhanger. 24 Dynasty Friends Star Trek NG & DS9 The Simpsons Lost Twin Peaks Breaking Bad Sons of Anarchy Dexter Dallas Buffy The West Wing Smallville Supernatural Alias Battlestar Galactica X-Files I could go on but clearly Television is doing something new and radical. Please. Like what you like and lap up what they give you by all means, don't let me stop you. Just be aware enough to recognize a cop out dressed in cliffhangers clothes. I don't need permission to post what I like or don't. I just was pointing out that getting butt hurt over a cliffhanger and then throwing up hands like this is a totally foreign tool, or the show sucks because of it is a moot point. Almost all shows have done and will continue to use the cliffhanger. Why? It works and builds excitement for the next season. If shows just tell you what is going to happen then why would a viewer watch? -

A TV show having a season finale cliffhanger. Yeah I've never heard of that ever happening. -

I feel like I'm in a deja vu thread. Something cool happens and a major character is debuted to man it sucks, he's too short, he can't act blah blah blah. Next it'll be man Morgan's teeth are just too white and shiny or he had 10 hairs on his beard that were not perfectly trimmed. How about his jacket just didn't look like it was made of real genuine leather. -

This episode was intense especially if you put yourself in his shoes. His son is a potential victim plus the rest of the crew is his family. Try to look at the drama and not the cliffhanger. This show is intense and continues to build each season IMO. -

FCBD 2012 has an unnamed cameo in a 4 page advertisement tease by Jim Lee: Cheers! Thank you! I was wondering how much exposure baz had in the FCFD 2012 issue. I agree on issue 0, first cover app, origin, and possible a first full app. Def. going to watch this one to see which one gets chosen. Great info! I was actually thinking about Baz the other and wondering why he hasn't had more exposure. I was also contemplating getting rid of my #0's out of disappointment, . But I guess my new rule is "don't throw anything out, it might be a sleeper" P.S. I haven't posted in so long, how's everyone doing? -

Its all a circle. Jeffery Dean Morgan (Negan) played the Winchester brothers father for several seasons on that show as well. Two characters overlapping is not actually that much for such long series that have so many characters coming in and out. Dale plays Paul Giametti's dad on "Billions" Actually, Jim from Season one had a guest appearance on Supernatural too and Haley from WD season 3 or 4... I bet there's actually a ton of one episode overlap between the two. True still Morgan came back for episodes here and there if I remember correctly and really helped that series get a footing. He was why the brothers were out there doing the tasks because of things he taught them. -

I think Glenn with get Lucille. Maggie was really touching Glenn's head a lot in the shower, could be foreshadowing. -

Moderns that are heating up on ebay!

A lot of people don't get this simple concept This is actually the exact purpose of a Moderator on a forum. They are supposed to keep the subject on topic and keep other members from being victims of derogatory personal comments. I am a member of another forum that has nothing to do with comics and it is a very welcome atmosphere and when you open a topic thread, guess what, people actually talk about the topic!. If conversation veers off topic there are warnings put in place. If you want to read internet trolling for enjoyment, I have no problem with that. I would even participate if a dedicated thread was created just for that. Never feed the trolls! -

The year us 2033. Jesus Island has become a maximum security prison. Snake Plissken now, in LA, can't help and Mad Max is Beyond Thunderdome. Who can we turn to in our hour of need ? Rambo: Last blood, coming to a theatre near you...or not... The old Mad Maxx or the new one? Because the new one is a wimp compared to the original. -
