  1. We do, and if he were in the real world he would realize how this nonchalant comment could be taken by customers and/or shareholders as a reflection of his view towards the entire business as well. Basically, if he is willing to let deadlines slip on one product line, then why not the others? No seasoned businessman would express that attitude publicly in almost any other industry. I have no problem if he does this in his spare time and treats it as such, but being in the position he is he should realize that comments like that are best left unsaid as it could negatively impact the company. Just say you are sorry and busy with managing the company's growth that NWM may be delayed during this period and leave it at that. Exactly. It is almost better to have not said anything about delays as this could lead to possible negatives reflected back on the company and his position. IMO its almost like he's trying to do to much, getting stretched to thin, and I would say a conflict of interests especially if he's taking profits from this title.
  2. The Hypno-Toad says they will all be 9.9's.
  3. I could use a beer too. j.k around.
  4. Even if its all snazzy in gold or silver?
  5. I didn't say I want the show quality to drop, I just can't wait for it to end so the prices (should???) drop. I'm not trying to be negative at all. Believe me, the last thing I want for the industry is something like those 90's Batmans. I'm just impatient and want the bubble to burst now, haha. But let's face it, the bubble will in all likelihood burst eventually, kind of like it exploded a few years back. Jerome Yeah and just like they have been predicting digital comics will end floppies or the comic industry will be a thing of the past (ie. every decade some "expect: source decrees it to be so") I'm from the Show me state. I have to see it to believe it.
  6. So you want things to go backwards in time for the hobby? Less good tv shows and flop movies so the prices will drop and then nobody will be aware of comics except for comic book readers? I should hope not. We are seeing things on a grander scale than the Batman 90's did for the hobby - its crossing non comic book readers and turning them INTO comic book readers. Such negativity.
  7. I'm jealous. The last big con here there were no modern comic dealers. Here's hoping to some next year.
  8. EOW #1's raws are starting to climb a bit higher - 11-12.95 now.
  9. Its early on still. Plus its a bad time to sell almost anything. Hickman is weaving this story very well so far and Dragotta art is very good IMO. Time to relax besides a gradual rise is better than a spike then a plunge.
  10. I've seen prices slowly ticking back up, had I sold mine as soon as I got it back from cgc I would be kicking myself. I think after the summer things will pick up as a whole on the secondary market.
  11. That was my costs at a recent con. The 18 dollar blue label still applies but CGC is charging 28 for SS moderns and that wasn't even fast tracked. Maybe that business model would work if someone pre-orders 400-500 books, but the issue here is the WD WW variants were 1 per show id. and they flagged your 3 day pass so you couldn't go back the following days and get more. If this guy is a big dealer at the show sure maybe but again selling that cheap is silly IMO.
  12. The real question is why is he driving down the prices when he is the ONLY one selling any of the WD Wizard variants that cheap, he's killing everyone else. Well yeah the book is free, but most artists charge 10-20 for CGC SS, Plus the 28 cost to slab, add the 5 dollar fee they tack on, then the cheapest shipping is 20-30 bucks. Why spend all that if you are going to sell to make 10 bucks, when everyone else was selling them between 200-300 before?
  13. Yes even if he is handing them in and picking them up he's still taking losses.
  14. is it the same guy on ebay that sells SS CGC WD wizard world variants for 99 bins? No clue how can they take losses like that over and over?
  15. Me too I've ordered bunches from them and all have arrived in stated NM shape, but this one the books were creased inside the bag with no outer envelope damage. Thanks
  16. So I emailed midtown about my 2 damaged books. They responded the next day asking for pics of the damage to verify etc etc. and they will get back to me shortly. I sent detailed pictures yesterday and no emails. All I'm asking for are replacements but I guess it has to go through another department? Has anyone had a problem with midtown?
